I’ve been taking my car to Brooks interstate auto care for a couple of decades now. I believe that Rick the manager has always been square with me and I’ve been happy to return obviously.
Rick and his guys have taken care of problems that I’ve had at a reasonable price. They will do good work at fair prices. Even though they are always busy, Rick has worked to get me in and get my issues resolved in a timely fashion.
I am glad to say, Rick has been so gracious to assist in my concerns. I have always had great service in the past and am glad this is continuing. Great place to call your own car repair shop.

Paid $714 to have ALL of my brake lines replaced. They replaced the main line for the rear. In doing so, they put a compression fitting to the old line on the master cylinder. Had to fix it myself so I could work. A year later, I go to replace the rear brakes, and the lines on the rear end are the ones from the factory. Me and my family could have lost our lives. Please reconsider and fo to another shop.

Have been going here for years. Rick and his staff do a great job. They are trustworthy and I have never felt taken advantage of with our 2 older cars. I highly suggest you go here for your car issues.
Been going to him for awhile now & I've paid him tons of my hard earned money over the years to work on my vehicles but because I asked questions about the pricing on his bill, he wants to get defensive & get an attitude with me. I don't care How cheap you are, that's Not how you treat your loyal customers. Won't be going to him anymore.
I've never had my car taken care better than I have here. I've been bringing my car here for more than 20 years. Amazing work and people.
Edit: I've made the mistake of taking my car other places to be worked on for convenience. Seems like I always end up taking it back to Brooks to fix what someone else screws up. Good, honest work everytime. Could not recommend more highly.
I recently left a review for Brooks after a misunderstanding on a receipt that I had. I walked in today with my receipts today and was explained exactly what they meant and realized I was in the wrong. After realizing iit was my misunderstanding, Brooks still refunded almost half of my money back. They personally did not owe me nothing after explaining everything to me. I cannot apologize enough for putting a bad review
So far so good. I called a few places to get my breaks fix and everyone was charging me over $700. That's a rent payment. I called Brooks and they did both my front breaks and replaced the rosters for under $350. I'm calling whenever I have a problem. You're got yourself a customer!!! Thanks so much guys!! Much love.
Went here for a diagnostic, and they told me many things were wrong. I then went to another place, and they told me this place was lying and that there was no issue at all with most of the things they said. Never will go again. Scammers! Also one of their own family members says they overprice and also lie about work being done!
EDIT: this place is ridiculous. they lie so much. i have came here and i have the receipts. and when i came here they were also very rude , and then again, LIED about what was wrong. And i believe they may of damaged something on my car when looking at it.
Went here a few days ago, Just for a diagnostic since my engine light wasn’t on and i was confused about what could be going wrong. Don’t get me wrong , The staff is very friendly! They are always nice. But they told me i needed all my mounts, including transmission ,rack and pinion, a rear oil seal leak, and control arms. Not sure if it was an honest mistake, but i took it to another shop and they let me know that all the mounts except one were in perfect condition. And the leak doesn’t need repaired since it’s barely leaking, they said they only found a drop. I’ll still continue going here sometimes as prices are fair, and maybe my review will change. But they do offer great work, just not sure if the work they say that needs done is always accurate.
Nice to have a auto care u can trust and is up front and doesn't try to sell u something u don't need. I live hour and half way from Brooks and they take good care of me when ever I am back in town and need their services. Thanks again Brooks auto care u guys are 5 star rating in my book.
I have been going to Rick for 35+ years when he worked for his Dad at the Shell Station. Recently I brought my 2012 Buick Lacrosse to Brooks to repair/find a intermittent starting problem. I had taken my vehicle to the Buick Dealer and they could not find the problem and still charged me the fee. My car would not start for my wife last weekend at Target so I knew I had to get it corrected. I told Rick what the issue was and he said he had a excellent mechanic to repair GM vehicles. Rick and his team found the issue, fixed the problem at a reasonable price. Next time I will take my car to Brooks because I know Rick will take care of my problem.

This place was a godsend! I stopped on my way from Chicago to Charleston due to unforeseen car maintenance. Rick was so kind and helpful and brought my car right in. No problems. They got a new wheel bearing installed same day. Had the vehicle back sooner than expected. I'll be having them do more work for me. I've never heard anything negative about them from people I've known who've taken vehicles there.
Brooks is AMAZING. Best repair shop I have ever been too. Period. Rick (guy in charge) is always courteous and gives pricing up front with pretty accurate estimates. Brooks has fixed my cars, my parents cars, my sister's car, and I will reccomend them always.
Second time here. Just a great shop to work with. My suburban started making a humming / groaning noise, that was consistent with speed. I figured it was a bearing, but I could not isolate it. I gave them a call to set up an appointment, and Rick told me if I brought it in the next morning, they should have me done by end of day assuming it was not anything worse. This was great, as I only have the one vehicle right now. I brought it in, and rode my bike home. I got a call not long after I got home, with a diagnosis of the front left hub bearing, and the cost estimate. I told them to go ahead. Just before lunch, I got a call confirming it was done. I was able to ride back during my lunch break and pick it up. The ride home was nice and smooth and quiet. Excellent work, and they just did what needed to be done. My previous visit to them was for brake line replacement on my 2003 suburban (same vehicle), and they did an awesome job on that as well. I would recommend this shop to anyone, and may the keep doing the great work they do. Thanks guys!
I had a19.99 coupon for an oil change. They told me to be there as close to opening time as possible. They opened at 7:30 and I didn't get there until almost 9am. From the time I walked in to tell them why I was there to me pulling out of the lot took them less them a half hour!! Plus they have the sweetest cat that comes to keep you company while you wait. I'm totally a dog person but I have to admit that is one of the sweetest smallest cats I've ever met!! I have anxiety when I'm out of my house and I actually left there so relaxed and happy that I actually got way more done then I'd even planned on doing!! I'd definitely recommend them to anyone and even if I moved back to the northern part of Indianapolis I'd drive to The Southside to let them work on my car!! They were all super nice guys but they certainly didn't waste anytime getting my car done and me back on the road!!!
Rick and his people do great work. They'll figure out your problem and take care of it quickly. Prices are reasonable, and you can't put a price on having an auto shop you can trust. Let them take care of you!
Very knowledgeable staff. Fair pricing. Would definitely recommend. Always has been able to help me with my different issues I've brought in and I know I can trust him to be fair priced and get the job done. I also love that they have a friendly shop cat, Chassy!
First time at Brooks and I was blown away not only by the customer service, but the prices and time were incredible. Rick is so kind and funny. When I called Monday asking to drop my car off, after describing the issue he knew right away what I drove. I was impressed. Dropped my car off Friday at 530 and it was done and FIXED by 11am Saturday! My car has never driven so smoothly.
I would absolutely recommend using Brooks for any of your auto care needs. You'll feel special, not just another customer or sale. Plus they have an auto shop cat and she's adorable and sweet. Even my husband who hates cats loved her. Support a wonderful local business if you need to and can. Brooks auto and Rick are great!
Hands down I will never take my car anywhere else. I got an estimate from Pep Boys for service, and they told me $2,500. I jistoved here from Ohio, so I asked a co-worker and they referred me to Brooks, and I am extremely happy that I only had to pay $850. Rick helped me, and he is the best. He was extremely polite, professional, and breaks things down to give you options. I highly recommend this shop.
