I’ve taken dozen loads of metal, aluminum and copper to Omni source past 6 months helpings friend clean up her yard. Couple weeks ago they said I need a letter head or proof where I got the my scrap. I told them my friend was a scraper and hoarder, I’ve been helping her out cleaning up her yard. they wouldn’t take my stuff any more because of their new policy. That time they seemed rude and said how do we know your friend didn’t steal the scrap. I’m not going back mainly how they were talking about my friend. I really like going there because they would help me unload my trailer and clean drive (for a scrap yard)
Our Company has been using Omni Source for over 10 years and the customer service just keeps getting better. From getting 40 yards to high sides and having them dropped to multiple different locations I recommend Omni Source for all metal needs!!
We have used OmniSource several times at my job and they have always worked with us on finding a time/method that works for both them and us. We have scrapped out a total of almost 100,000 lbs of broken/obsolete machinery with them.
Very unfriendly. I will never return.
The grease is all over my shoes and now in my truck. Place is filthy and both office females were rude. Terrible experience. I took a full Triaxle dump trailer with 3 crushed big culverts 48”. I got $150. Not worth the effort. My diesel cost more than that.
Typical metal scrap yard. They were crushing and scrapping large numbers of vehicles. There are no signs posted, but this location ONLY accepts items that are the length of a pickup truck or longer. General household scrap is not accepted. It is for commercial scrapping only.
The recommendtion by employees was to visit the West Street Rd location instead for smaller items.
There's really good people that works there real polite good sense of humor only is a downfall for that company it takes a little bit to unload trucks you might be there an hour and 2 hours 3 hours
Slowest Omni source I have ever been to. Looks like it is 99% commercial. Not a good place to drop a ton or so of scrap from the backyard. If you give it a shot anyways use gate 1. Gate 2 appears to be outgoing processed scrap.
Went to Omni to scrap a truck for my company and had already had an agreement to scrap the truck today. Well had the truck towed there and was told I need title in hand, I stated to the lady that I already had an agreement via email to bring the title when I arrive back in Indy Wednesday, she said no which I understand it is her job. So I went there to show her the emails from her boss in which she stated that she talked to him and everything was good. So I asked her if the tow truck was still in the yard, she said she would check. Well while she was checking my phone started to ring and out of courtesy to her and the other people in the office I stepped outside to take my call. Once my call ended I was headed back in to see if the driver was still in the yard and she had locked the doors so I could not go back into the building. Not only was this childish but she made OmniSource look bad.
