This rating is based on customer reviews, inventory size, pricing, and service quality
In Indianapolis, IN, All Star Recycling & Environmental Services|Lawrence earns 97/100. Reviews show a highly positive trend: prompt, professional service, friendly crews, clear communication (texts before arrival), and reasonable pricing. Same-day pickups and reliability across repeat jobs stand out. A lone complaint mentions unanswered calls; otherwise response times are praised. Little insight on inventory variety, yard setup, or parts-finding—the feedback centers on hauling/junk removal rather than a self-serve yard.
Sly has been doing personal hauling for me for several years. He is always so fun and personable and will always take care of my needs asap. His prices have always been fair and reasonable. I recently moved and without his help, it would’ve held me up another day. Strongly recommend Sly and his company for your hauling needs.
I called All Star early morning, he was there in a couple hrs to pick up a nasty refrigerator, he was 1 man in 1 mission, stored him in my phone, wouldn’t call anyone else. Thank you Deena
Reasonable price to remove lawnmower damaged in a fire. Same day service. Friendly and professional. Will use again to remove a wide variety of items from fallen tree branches to ancient motorcycle engine blocks. Give Sly a call or text etc.
My experience was one of the best with a business and with a person. Silvester was very professional, quick and easy to talk to. Great job at a VERY GOOD price. I will be using this service again with all my hauling needs. Thanks again Sly.
Worked with Sly directly on a quick pickup of an old fire safe I needed removed. Came same day and took care of everything for a very reasonable fee. He's also working with City of Lawrence to have them consider a proper recycling center inside the city limits. Very impressed and would recommend All Star Recycling.
What a great team! Would use them over and over again! They get the job done and are respectful of your home when removing large items! Even offered to remove their shoes. Highly recommend
Sly and his crew did a great job. He came out the same day to give me a quote. We had already had several quotes; his was the best. He said he would text before coming out, and that he would be there Tuesday morning at 8 AM. He followed through on both those commitments. I highly recommend this company. I think the before and after pictures tell the story of a job well done.

5/17/24 After our basement flooded, I contacted All Star, recycling and they removed the debris. They were quick to respond when I text and arrived when they said they would. Sly and his crew are respectful and offer the best price around! I highly recommend them!
Very professional service at a reasonable rate. They arrived at the agreed on time, texted before arrival. Very quick service. And they were very pleasant and kind. Highly recommend
As a realtor, I am always on the lookout for great contractors I can refer to my clients. I have high standards so it takes a lot to be added to my list. Sly and All Star Hauling are now on that list. They were prompt, reasonably priced and were extremely hard working. They did a fantastic job and I highly recommend them!
