I would highly recommend Car Tech to anyone who needs body work on their car! They were very transparent about price options and how long the work would take. I was pleased with how well they did matching my paint and removing a dent from the side of my car. They were able to complete the work for the exact price they quoted me. I knew my car was in good hands and I would definitely recommend their work!

ZERO STARS! This place is a waste of space. Idk if the techs are actually trained or if they are work release losers. 16 days my car was in this shop. For an alignment and fuel filter change. 16 days! Neither one of those services were completed. Their excuse is that they kept getting pulled to other cars. Ok. Cool.

I meant to leave a review a long time ago, but it slipped my mind. I had spent a lot of time troubleshooting our 2013 Kia Soul, due to the car shutting off, and losing power while driving. I had replaced the grounds, the alternator, the battery, and even the ECM. I was at my wit's end, and decided to finally take it someplace. After checking out the car, they let me know that the alternator was bad. I was, admittedly, incredulous at first - so I called, and spoke to someone who did not do the typical talking down, and instead engaged with me on a technical level, and explained that there have been problems with reman alternators lately. They changed out the alternator, and I was able to get a refund on the one I had installed. The service was quick, professional, and they were extremely honest. Truth be told, they could have fleeced me, as I was ready to pay any amount to just make this problem go away, but they didn't This seems obvious, but having dealt with many shops in my lifetime, and having family in the business, it's all too common, and honest shops should be commended. I whole-heartedly recommend them for your automotive diagnostic, and repair, needs!

This shop is top of the line with service, communication, and being there for you when you need them most. I've had my Jeep's struts & mounts worked on, needed a new radiator & hoses, replaced my car dashboard screen, and a few other engine service issues. They are great listeners and are very transparent in explaining what's going on with your vehicle. Car Tech of Indiana is extremely fair priced, willing to provide loaners if needed, and are one of the most reliable and honest auto repair shops I've been to in Indianapolis. Would recommend.

Let me tell you about this placem I contacted this business to schedule some work on my truck. I got a call from Jack and he fully explained everything from labor, to the parts needed to get the job done. No hidden fees, no hidden parts, no extra surprises. Finally, an honest business that does what they say and it's done right and looks professional! Definitely will be taking vehicles back to them for future repairs!

I should not have to go to a shop three times for one issue. Everytime I had to go back they acted like they were doing me a favor when it came to pricing but I know better. I brought it in because it wouldn't start. They assured me it was the starter even though I asked about the alternator and ground cable. I told them I had the same issue a year prior and what fixed it at that time was re-torqueing the ground cable because that dealership had already installed a new battery. The next business day after I got it back, it had to be towed right back to the shop. The brakes were not working at all and after the third or fourth time I started it with my brand new starter, it once again wouldn't start. So the second time it was in there they said the battery was no good (if they were going to go through a troubleshooting process they should have started with the battery because it's the cheapest and easiest thing to do). About two months later was the third and final time I had to take it back because it still wasn't starting. They replaced the alternator. I say final time because I don't like how they do business and won't be using them again for anything. It was very unfair and costly to have them basically troubleshoot the electrical issue on my dime (I had to pay for parts and labor all three times it was in there for the original issue of not starting). The second time it went back to the shop was the day after my auntie picked it up from the shop for me. My brakes were completely out. They should not have let the car leave the shop in that condition, and definitely should have informed me of the brake situation. So I also had to pay for them to replace both brake lines from front to back even though I had no issues at all with my brakes before I took it to them. I also asked them to fix the carfax report because they did not do some of the things they listed. After asking them multiple times to fix it, it is still incorrect. Shops should not try to use milage or the age of a vehicle as a blanket excuse for anything they want to charge you for. They should take the time that they're charging you for and find the actual issue instead of taking advantage. A shop should never let a car leave when it says "BRAKE" in all red letters and you have to push the brake pedal to the floor for it to stop. Thankfully I live close to the shop because something really bad could have happened to my auntie when she was driving it from the shop to my place. I do not trust this shop in multiple ways. They should be shut down.

The receptionist is so sweet and kind, the service is quick and professional, and the candy and vending machines in the lobby are fabulous! Even with a 20 yr old car, they were super honest about what had to be fixed and which things weren't worth fixing.

They were able to fit us in quickly after we hit road debris on the interstate. Transparent with the repair (which was thankfully minor), upfront about time and cost, and extremely kind and professional. Highly recommend!

We are a small business near Car Tech I feel like they always do their best work in fixing our vehicles. The staff is very nice and courteous and the owner Jack is a super nice person as well

Definitely recommend this shop brought my 94 caprice classic in thinking I needed electrical work for ac to work which another shop told me. Come to find out didn't need electrical work at all if your looking for a honest and reliable shop look no further!

This man tried to charge my elderly Auntie $7,100+...long story short. We took her car some where else(dealership) and got her back on the road for way less $730+ to be exact! Same test ran at both places, two totally different stories. If I could give zero stars I would! They we're nice... but, I feel they were nicely trying to abuse my Aunt's pockets unnecessarily. I'm glad I went with her. My Final response: Let me be clear and correct an assumption. I said long story short for a reason. My Aunt had a previously trusted relationship established for years with Car Tech specifically. We have all the receipts for years dating since 2008! That relationship has now ended. Can't be fixed. My Aunt and I are good. Thank you have a great day!

I had driven up to Indianapolis from Lexington for a Pacers game, at some point we must have ran over a nail. I called around to several places to find someone that could get us in quickly, most were backed up but Car Tech was able to work us in without delay. They were professional and resolved the issue and also took care of an oil change that was needed. Probably not the cheapest place out there but sometimes you pay a little bit more for quality service. Would recommend to anyone needing auto repair/service.

They did a good job fixing my power antenna. They were quick with the job. 5 stars!

99 cadillac Eldorado ETC with 50,000 miles. If you value your Cadillac I wouldn't take it here. Buffing guy burnt paint and put holograph all over car, and had to repaint door. I had dents taken out of car, and car was given back to me with interior hanging down with no interior lights working. They fixed that too. Also, my door panels were ripped off with scrape marks on paint and interior door panels. The door panels are obsolete and I can't get new panels, so they will be hanging off. Radiator bolt were not tightened down all the way. Had a a/c compressor installed, and they left free on and oil on frame of car. Had them clean car, but never cleaned back of car. Had a map light installed, and its jammed up in interior where 8 can't open hook beside light. Asked them multiple times to fix never was fixed. The communication between employees to fix issues is terrible. No quality control.

Car Tech is very knowledgeable and helpful. We both have hybrids and they have multiple mechanics to handle them. We also have a classic VW that they have been very fair and reasonable working on. We can not say enough good things about them and their knowledge. We also appreciate being treated with respect since we are women. (We often hear stories of women being scammed by mechanics.)

I had three great experiences with the Pros at Car Tech. Friendly, fast, and personal. I really felt like they had my best interests at heart. Experience was 10/10

I cant say much about this shop @ the moment, Because they haven't started working on my car yet. This is My first time Ever coming to this Shop, But I did want to say that the communication of the front office has been Great,That person @ the front desk email me to keep me updated on what's going with my vichice, I will give that part a 5 star, I'm Hoping My first experience here is a Great one, & I'm hoping to give the Auto Tech person a 5 star once My vichice is complete, I had my 1980 classic Cadillac deville towed to this shop I hope All goes Well, To be continued, I will come back & give a statement again when the service is completed on my vehicle,

I had a million and a half requests and repairs I needed done they treated me like family no doubt best car shop hands down did a better job undoing massive amounts of jimmy rigging on my truck and then helped me finish off one of my dream cars they took care of everything in the most excellent way possible not even one complaint also gave me more advise and help than I could even put value on everyone at car tech is awesome and will show more respect to you and your car than any other shop ever could I highly recommend them and screw the nay sayers they can take their cars to shops that won't care and are all about money and nothing else

Took my 06 Acura in for a main seal repair and they discovered that my motor mounts had failed. Very friendly and professional service with accurate and upfront pricing. Thanks. Highly recommended.

I took my car in to have a miss and rough start up diagnosed. They said it was a bad O2 sensor and blown head gaskets. It has none of the symptoms of a blown head gasket. So my husband researched it. He did the fool-proof test for blown head gaskets. It showed they were fine. When he called Car Tech, they told him that brand was faulty. My husband then bought the one they use. He ran the test 4 times. The head gasket is definitely not blown. He replaced the O2 sensor. The miss is gone. The rough start up is gone. Car Tech said that fixing the O2 sensor wouldn’t fix those problems. They were wrong. So my husband calls them again this morning to suggest they check their equipment. He wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. They immediately got defensive. They attacked my husband’s knowledge. (My husband is the one our friends come to when they have vehicle problems. He also has a pro-level diagnostic computer.) My husband was only going to ask for part of the diagnosis fee back since most of their diagnosis was wrong. (The repair bill was $5500 to replace the head gaskets.) At this point, he was speaking with the owner — who was very rude and extremely defensive. They sell a handful of vehicles on their lot. Their misdiagnosis is for one of four reasons. 1. They don’t properly clean their testing equipment (cross-contamination). 2. They couldn’t figure it out and picked one of the few things my husband hadn’t checked/fixed/replaced. 3. They tried to scam us for a large, unneeded repair. 4. They wanted my car to sell for a profit.

They were amazing! Very quick to fix my car after an accident, stayed late to make sure I got a rental, and worked with my insurance to get me the best deal.

These ladies and gentlemen were great to deal with. I have a VW GLI that is a pain to deal with because not all parts are easily available and they found all of them and didn't kill me on price. Very knowledgeable and friendly group

I had Car Tech repair my 1988 Cadillac DeVelle power antenna in December of 2014. It worked great for 6 months until it broke in June of 2015. I sent it back for a warranty repair wich was completed by Car Tech at no cost. Thank you standing behind your work. Steve

4/2015 Somewhat new to the area and not having a place to take my '05 Jaguar, I researched the area and found Jack and the crew at Car Tech. I was very nervous taking my car anywhere, but after they treated me and my car with perfection, I won't be going anywhere else. I am so glad you guys do what you do....keep that family atmosphere, even if you get too big....you now have a life-long customer!!
