What clients say about Williams Auto Salvage in Houston (TX)
Someone know if the place are open to the public or just the phone won't work? No one answer the phone
Horrible place don't stand behind their parts won't give refund been stuck twice from them with parts never return call lkq
Bought me a transmission for a 2001 Acura TL at great price with 6 months warranty... I'll say Jr. Stay on top of it by sending me pictures to match exactly what I needed.
Price was good Parts was not too bad Not too many rock chips for a 2003 Tahoe/Suburban/ silverado hood Ofc any body panels need minor alignment I spent 30 minutes to make it functional
He's a liar and a thief - done his best to get me to send money when I was going to show up and pay in person- this whole thing is a scam
Robert was a great help. .
Very honest business, but young managers a little too stiff n rude.. Lately , no used tires no used batteries and many other part cannot find... Their dad was mild n kind hearted n extremely polite...that's not found these days...
Got a killer deal on parts for my Volvo. They were already pulled and ready for pickup when I got there. Highly recommend checking them out!
Went to pick up a fuel tank for my sons car and they accidentally gave us the wrong one. I came here because it’s close to where we live and they had the best price on this particular part. Good customer service and they were quick to fix the problem, no harm no foul, we’ll definitely be back if we need more parts. Come check these guys out!
One of the most honest salvage shops I’ve been to. Bought an engine through Robert, it is perfect almost new condition. Plug and play minus a few brackets.
Jr at the front was very rude and incompetent. I came in to buy a rim, provided him with a stock number, and he was trying to refuse me service because the rims didn't pertain to the exact car I wanted to put them on. We have to mechanic shops and do thousands of dollars of business with each location but we will be moving Williams to the bottom of the list. He cursed at me, looked like he hadn't showered in days, and was too busy watching pornography on his phone to accept that he was in the wrong. This is an edited review, formerly left them 5 stars, until they improve or respond to this, DO NOT USE.
Always have what I need...staff very helpful and professional
Williams “was” my go to for salvaged parts. I go often since I’m rebuilding my 20 year old truck. Wednesday I arrived at 5:15. I knew they had what I needed according to their website. The man I spoke to confirmed he had them but couldn’t pull the parts off shelf because they had already locked up the cages? They close at 5:30. I’m thinking... then unlock them and get my parts, you have 15min. Do you close at 5:15 or 5:30? Keeping my mouth shut, I simply said okay, I’ll come back tomorrow. I returned the following day and said I would wait for the guy that helped me yesterday to loud guy sitting down behind the counter. He said no, “What are you looking for”? I reluctantly start over with him explaining what I need. He told me to wait and he would get the parts pulled. I said I have 100$ in cash, can you do it for that? He said I don’t know, I can’t see the pricing (complete BS). I can see the pricing. I said “I’m only asking because if you can’t, I don’t want the man pulling the parts to bother”. He told me to wait. Long story short (sorry), they pulled the parts and I confirmed they were what I needed. He said okay 119. I said “I’ve already explained how much I have”. He said “I can’t do it for that. “ I turned around and walked out. I went down (2) blocks to one of their many competitors. In a matter of minutes got what I wanted and for the money I had to spend. Here’s my question... “Why purposefully waste 45min of my time / and the time of those who actually do the work? Are you just an AH in all the time or just at work? Hopefully Mr. Williams sees my post and makes his fat A get up and try pulling parts for a day.
I've bought 2 different 6 years apart both garbage. A 3800 and a 3.5 for a challenger. Both claim to have a 6 month warranty but soon as installed the 3800 was knocking I brought it back to them in the car they said my mechanic put the engine in wrong an told me basically go fb©k myself...I took that on the chin. Went back 6 years later for a 3.5 engine for a customer car an the motor upon installation refused to stay cool. They AGAIN told me my mechanic put the motor in wrong an to basically go fv¢k myself again. Their warranty is the longest but their also full of the most s#!t. I refuse to buy anything from them anymore
Staff was very friendly and productive . As soon as i called they hurry and removed the part for me and had it ready as soon as i walked through the door. The were nice enough to wait on me as soon as they were about to lock down the building. I recommend this salvage yard by far the best i have been too in Houston . You guys saved me from breaking down with my children THANK YOU AGAIN !
I Wanted to buy a taillight for my car. The one they had broken small debris on the inside/small heat damage and scratches. Roberto/Robert said thats "normal" which is not true. Roberto/Robert wanted 45.00, since it had issues I asked if he could sell for 40.00. He had "to look in the system" for the going rate. Then he tells me everyone is selling it for 70-75 dollars, which is false going rate was 40.00-50.00 dollars. I told him I just came from Ortiz Salvage yard across the street and they had it for 40.00. He said "if you can get it for a cheaper there, you should go there" I did just that and got it for 10 dollars less. My suggestion us go to the competition across the street.
Greg and mechanic are fantastic! Just wish they were closer to Klien! Honest People next having me spend more than what I needed! Truly appreciated the service I received from them!
I have bought several Engines,Transmissions,Alternator's, Starter's, Compressor's from them for past 15 years. The staff is very help full and very knowledgeable. This is very organized and well established used auto parts store. I would definitely highly recommend this place to others.
Good salvage parts, call to check if they gave the part, the prices are very fair and the warranty on the parts are pretty good specially on electrical parts, drive from the southeast to this place across town because of the honest business they run and helpfulness getting what you meed. They have and online directory of parts but if you can’t seem to find it on there just give them a call. They also sell complete engines, wheels, batteries. They have a good selection, prices are similar to those at LQK but here the parts are given to you without having to go rip it out of a junked car, they do the dirty work and their warranty is better than some of the local junk yards also.
They didn’t sell the specific part we were looking for the way we needed, but they get four stars for me because they have people that speaks English and Spanish and the person who attended us was polite and honest on what was more convenient for us to get the part. The place is huge and looks like they can get almost any part for their customers.
Got a Jeep Cherokee tail light assembly from them and am pleased with the part. The facility is really nice considering the salvage yards I've been to. Their parts are bar-coded to help with inventory which is a big plus for a salvage yard. The bad reviews almost scared me away, but they are not indicative of the truth. Great Price. Great Service.
Ask for Junior! I've been buying my parts from these folks for years! Easy to work with and very reliable.
Called several salvage yards looking for my part. Robert helped me find the part , gave me clear description of options and how to verify my parts. Was fast, up front and friendly. Best experience I have had so far dealing with a salvage yard phone sales person. If you need parts call and ask for Robert!
One of my friends who looking for a transmission and they had a great price six months warranty and they deliver and you have 30 days to bring the core back
I bought AC compressor. It worked only 10 minutes and stopped working. They told me that they can't refund they can only replace it. When I bought they did not tell me about no refund. I do not suggest anyone. Even their store manager does not know how to communicate with customers.
I've been coming to this place since I was 18 and now 28 these guys always give a good price also warranty parts.. Those other guys no warranty and high prices. Friendly service also
They always go above and beyond to help our business with any of our parts needs. These guys , especially Saul in the upfront office will track a part if they do not have it. These guys will always point me in the right direction in order to locate any specific part that I may need.. 😊
Bought a transmission and put it on the same day , truck didn’t go anywhere got it towed to a transmission shop , they said the valve body was bad which is the computer for the transmission, went back to claim my warranty, they said the warranty wasn’t under the valve body! Spent $1300 for a bad transmission watch out guys.
Out of all the salvage yards on North Shepherd this one is the most organized. Their clear about their return/ exchange policy and they honor it. This is usually my first stop when looking for used parts.
Took them 2 weeks to give me a motor that I bought and when I got it there was a Crack on the aluminum block. I show it to him and he told me that he have a professional Welder to fix it. 3 days later he said it was ready, only for me to go across town and find out they JR welder it together. . Who would do business and put someone life in danger like that. Do not come to this place I would never again.
