Huge selection of vehicles to pick from but organization is not a priority at this location. Their prices are fair and the grounds are decently maintained. I would shop here again for used parts. Just be aware that they charge $3 to enter their lot even if your just trying to locate any usable items. Don't expect to find many classics or anything other than modern vehicles.
Since Monday, April 14, 2025, I have been waiting for vehicle to be picked up by Houston Auto Recyclers as agreed. The driver never arrived or showed up and customer service said they were no longer interested in the auto, when I and Car Brain representative spoke with their representatives. The driver for Houston Auto Recyclers neglected to honor the agreement and breeched our agreement for sale. The owner of Houston Auto Recyclers may be the only person that can resolve or reschedule the vehicle for pick up, as Monday, 4/14/25 has already passed and no one at Car Brain or Houston Auto Recyclers have been able to correct this error and lack of customer service. I look forward to communicating with the owner to resolve this issue promptly. I was forced to give a star in order to post, otherwise, I would not give any star at this point. Thank You!
I had went in Tuesday evening and found a stereo system I wanted. I went to the register to check out and the person working it, Jenny, had said to come back the next day because it will be $20(manager special), I wanted to still the check price on it so I then asked how much would it be anyways and she told me around 60. So I had said that I would just come back. Next day, they aren’t going to sell it to me for $20 because supposedly it has a navigation system and the price also jumped to 80+. Keep in mind I came the day before and brought it to the register to check out, she could’ve told me then that it has a navigation system and wouldn’t qualify for the deal. I had asked for the manager(Cynthia) and she wouldn’t allow me to express my concerns. I get that they don’t have to talk to people that much but to dismiss them and assume they are lying about their experience and what they were told is not okay. The manager(Cynthia) was rude throughout the whole situation and wouldn’t even communicate with me to begin with. I asked them to honor the price considering I was told to come back and Cynthia rudely shoved a card though the window hole for their promotion coming up and said that I either have to pay the 80+ or leave it.
I wouldn’t recommend this place considering that they just come up with prices. I wish I had my recording device on bc then I would be able to bring the price gauging of this company to attention but unfortunately I felt comfortable before the incident and didn’t feel the

I have been calling non stop today. At first a lady picks up and then tells me to hold and never comes back. Called again someone picked up the phone and then hung it up.
best self-service junkyard in Houston. they have the inventory online which is very helpful to see what's available. the rows are organized well and cars are higher quality than most of the other self-service yards in Houston. i wish they had a price sheet online but they do have them posted on the wall outside the office. prices are cheaper than all other self-service yards in Houston.
shitty customer service shitty employees. Sent a payment for a part found out it was the wrong part had to call 15 times just to get my money back and the employee nelson says i'll block u just take my word we sent money and its pending but could not send a proof of transfer!! Never coming back!!! Don't know how to pe civil and polite for basic communication!!
DO NOT SELL YOUR CAR TO THEM. I got called daily, multiple times a day even after I told then the car was sold, today I asked to be on a do not call list, and the lady got an attitude and said "you could have just told us you sold it." WHICH IS EXACTLY WHAT I TOLD THEM THE DAY PRIOR. customer service is poor here and they will get upset if you decide not to sell them your car for the scrap they offer.

2 registers for late model section and 2 registers for early model section.
AND when one employee goes on break only one is left open.

Fair pricing. They came to pick up my car and wrote me a check on the spot. They were mad late though and I would prefer them tasking the info about the vehicle over the phone so I didn't Hasn't to wait around to see how much they could give me for my car.
