This rating is based on customer reviews, inventory size, pricing, and service quality
In Detroit, MI, EV Auto scores 85/100. Reviews are largely positive: professional, friendly staff (CJ praised often), clean/tested parts, warranty options explained, fair-to-cheap pricing, and an organized shop that makes finding late‑model parts easier. Many note efficient service, with parts prepped ahead or delivered fast. Strengths include customer service and inventory depth. Still, a minority report inconsistent pricing, wrong or damaged parts, and disputed warranties—so verify prices and terms before purchase.
5 star service they go above and beyond to get you the parts you need even if they don’t have the part you need they well make sure they get you want you need.. Thanks CJ and Ray ?
If I could give 100 stars, I would! We found a car on FB marketplace for sale by CJ. I was extremely pleased with the level of customer service that he demonstrated. CJ met us closer to our home to show us the car. He was honest and offered to fix some minor issues with it even before we made a decision. I would definitely purchase a car from him anytime. Thank you CJ, we truly appreciate you!
Quality of the parts was solid, clean, and the shop was well organized, and clearly tested before selling. They also took the time to explain warranty options, which gave me extra peace of mind.
had a great experience with this shop. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and helped me find exactly the part I needed without any hassle. Prices were good compared to other places I checked
Top-Notch Service & Quality at EV Auto – Ask for CJ!
I had an amazing experience with EV Auto Used Parts! The parts I received were in excellent condition — honestly, you’d never know they were used. Everything was clean, tested, and ready to go, which saved me time and hassle during installation.
What really stood out was their deep knowledge and professionalism. I had a few questions about compatibility, and CJ was incredibly helpful and patient. He clearly knows his stuff and went out of his way to make sure I got exactly what I needed. It’s rare to find that level of service these days.
If you’re looking for high-quality used parts and want to deal with people who genuinely care, EV Auto is the place to go — and definitely ask for CJ. Highly recommended
First guy told me the part was $50
The the second guy told me the same part was for $75 then when I went to pay he told me the total was $100 , bunch on dummies owning a business
I was looking to buy a re-used motor the whole experience has been awful...initially I were quoted one price and upon paying I was told the sales representative made a mistake and they added over $300 to the price the original price should have been honored.... I was going to cancel and request refund due to this and the customer service but offered a warranty so I agreed to order when the motor was shipped to mechanic the motor was poorly wrapped and fell on the delivery truck and damaged verified by the delivery driver .pictures were sent to them & bill of sale where the driver signed it was damaged during delivery Mechanic refused to accept upon calling back to get refund & the lady stated to call back she didn't have time when I've paid over 2 thousand this is something that should be handled immediately buyers beware do not do business with these people they are not trustworthy
I had a good experience at this auto shop! The staff was incredibly patient and kind, taking the time to answer all my questions. What really impressed me was that they had all the parts I needed, and they were in great condition. I highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for quality parts and excellent service.
If you need any auto work done or auto needs, this is THEE place! Service is excellent, efficient and thoughtful. CJ went above and beyond for my auto needs and made sure I was taken care of from A to Z! Couldn’t recommend this service enough!
Great customer service, the guys here were polite and helpful the whole time, when I asked about vin and mileage they happily told me and all the information I needed was on the receipt. When I was worried about the alternator being a used part they told me they have a 30 day warranty on all parts so I don’t have to worry.
Bought a engine from them after a day the oil pump goes out They don’t honor any of there warrants even if it was for a day not a place I’ll do Business with
liers. i called them asking for 2 doors, they said they are intact, drove to their location, when i arrived both doors have unrepairable damage, and the guy was indifferent stating if you like it take it . most of the parts they list are junk .
Very respectful and helpful people. Certainly not greedy in the one transaction I've done with them.
Edit: Nowadays they charge even more than the dealer for some used parts so I have adjusted my review. Check the dealer first.
Hands down one of the best customer service experiences I’ve had when dealing with automotive parts shops in the Detroit area!
Called on a Saturday looking for a part (exhaust) for a car I was restoring, I also needed little miscellaneous brackets here and there which I was hesitant to ask about but the minute CJ asked if I was looking for anything else, figured I’d ask and boy am I glad I did! He patiently listened to what parts i needed and said he’d work on getting the parts that he could off before I headed over (1 hr drive). I got there and he had almost everything that I needed ready to go as well as showed me the parts vehicle to see if there was anything else that I’d need.
Their pricing was also very fair and well under what I would’ve paid at a dealership or a big brand parts store.
Definitely going to keep these guys in mind to hit up first whenever I am looking for parts!
