This rating is based on customer reviews, inventory size, pricing, and service quality
Reviews for Gateway towing in Detroit, MI are overwhelmingly positive, with fast arrivals (often 25–30 minutes, even late night), professional drivers, and fair pricing that often beats other quotes—overall 97/100. Customers highlight clear communication, safety, and flexible help. Several reviews seem to cover a used‑parts shop, noting easy part finding (website checks, staff guiding to items), reasonable prices, quick in‑out visits, and an organized process—suggesting solid inventory. Complaints are rare but real: one account of rude service and delayed invoicing. The dataset is mixed, yet the service reputation is strong.
Speedy pick up, professional service and a fair price. Got a flat on the Express Lanes of 96 downtown around 10:30 pm and they had me and my car back to Plymouth before midnight.

I Reached out to this tow( ie google )company and spoke with an individual by the name of “Vee” Extremely unprofessional & rude After, the tow was completed I requested an invoice 3 times, for insurance reimbursement. The company sent the invoice approximately TWO Months later after repeated requests.I then needed a tow again months later. which obviously was against my better judgement, I just was extending a little grace trying to support a small business.Explained to the representative about my last issue and he “Vee” had the audacity deny my request for tow service. I’m an administrator myself and it’s two things I despise. That’s unprofessionalism and arrogance I experienced both with this company and wouldn’t patronize if they were the last tow business in Michigan.
Mike was extremely professional and quick, a true businessman with a quality and fair business model. Gateway Towing will be my go-to for any car emergency
First time ever using them tonight for my 2010 GMC terrain and the service was very professional very quick timing and the Guy was very respectful helpful and professional keep up the amazing work
Best in the business! Fair pricing and top-notch service. I couldn’t have asked for a better tow — they really came through when I was stranded in the middle of the highway. Fast, reliable, and professional. Highly recommend!
Was extremely professional, so simple and easy tow! Picked up and took my car a mile up the road. I believe his name was Mark, super sweet man and was quick and efficient! Thank you!!
They came quick and were the only ones that answered my call late night (I called a few other places too). Dude was super nice and replaced my tire in less than 5 minutes. Would highly highly recommend
They came in 30 min as they said they would get my car started right away I need a boost and they price was the best everybody else want $140 they did it for $85 would most definitely would use them again
Mike was outstanding and did exactly what you would hope for in a towing company. Answered my call, was able to fit me in asap, worked with me on price even going out of his area to help a brother out. You need reliability and and honest business man, this is your guy.
He went above and beyond to get me back on the road at a great price. I will absolutely be using this company again and I fully recommend you do as well. Very satisfied customer!
I really appreciate the speed & efficiency of this towing company! I had an emergency where my truck was stuck on the side of the road & I needed it towed immediately to avoid it being towed off the street by the city and they were on top of it & towed it 20 minutes later!! I would absolutely recommend them for anyone needing speedy, professional towing assistance!
5 stars all the way. On a busy holiday weekend we called more than a dozen places with no answer before finding Mike. He was fast, efficient and gave us a fair price.
Mike was absolutely amazing and so helpful. I had a horrible experience for hours before he became my tower and got it done asap. Would 100% recommend him any day.
T was amazing!!! Calm, cool, collected and very very reasonable pricing too!!! Every where else was $300 and up and he managed to be fair and honest! Lord knows honesty is hard to come by with certain businesses and T made it happen! Super Grateful!!!
I ask if he could tow my car 3 miles he said how you get this number. very unprofessional! Then I responded from google search! Then he stated he would charge me $250.00 I couldn't do anything but laugh. First he was unprofessional then wanted me to pay 250.00 for 3miles away from my location would not recommend poor customer service!!! Then he called me back questioning why I left a review of my interaction with him. And was I confused to why he charged $250.00
Mike was fantastic, we had a blowout on the expressway, called Mike and he was here quick. He was very polite, professional, and kind hearted, I will definitely keep using this company in the future if needed. Thank you Mike for being a outstanding citizen...
Mike was very helpful overall, and was kindly able to answer every question I had. Higly recommended! He Was so quick too, And the prices are reasonable. Would definitely think about hiring him again.
The driver is a lifesaver! His name started with an "R" but I can't quite remember. I had got into an bad accident and he just happened to be driving by and ask if we needed help. He was very professional, patient, knowledgeable, kind and courteous and really helped me with the steps on what to do since I was feeezing and in shock. If I could rate them higher I would. I recommend their service to anyone hands down.
Super professional and knowledgeable. Rescued me in the middle of the night. He took the time to make sure my boat and trailer were secure. Very fair price. Would recommend him to anyone needing a tow.
