This rating is based on customer reviews, inventory size, pricing, and service quality
Based on recent feedback, Shamel Auto Parts in Detroit, MI scores 92/100: overall highly rated with a few sharp complaints about disrespectful treatment. Strengths cited repeatedly include friendly, professional staff (Sam/Mo/Abdu noted), quick turnaround and customer service that goes the extra mile, fair pricing, and help sourcing hard‑to‑find, tested used parts. Many mention accurate matches, light install help, and fast delivery. Inventory breadth seems strong; wait times are generally short. Yard organization isn’t discussed much, so clarity there is limited.
Best place for high-quality used spare parts. I found a clean engine part for my car that looks almost new. The prices are much better than buying new, and they gave me a fair testing warranty. Very honest people
I called several places for my dashboard and then I called Shamel auto parts and my boy Sam hooked me up with this day for absolutely a good deal and I recommend them to everyone.
Shamel Auto Parts is the place to go if you’re looking for quality parts at fair prices. The staff is knowledgeable, professional, and always willing to go the extra mile to help you find exactly what you need. Their customer service is excellent, and they make the whole process quick and easy. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of reliable auto parts and great service!
I had an amazing experience with Shamel Auto Parts. I came in looking for a part for my car that I honestly thought would be hard to find, but the team here made it super easy. They took the time to listen, double-checked everything to make sure I was getting the right piece, and even gave me some advice on the install. The part worked perfectly, and the price was way better than I expected. It’s rare to find a place where you feel like they actually care about helping you, but that’s exactly what I got here. I’ll definitely be coming back for any future needs and recommending them to family and friends.
Extremely disappointing experience. I’ve visited this place three times, and each time has been worse than the last. The father who appears to be running the junkyard, clearly doesn’t know how to run a business. Also, doesn’t know how to talk to customers at all. Never going back there again and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
I called to get a quote on a part and to purchase. However, they didn’t have any in stock but still helped me find other locations that could possibly have what I needed. I appreciate the wonderful customer service and the willingness to go above and beyond. Thank you
Great experience with these guys I had been through two parts from two other places that were both sold bad and they didn’t test them. so I tried these guys. He assured me they tested the part. It came worked perfectly was everything he said it was definitely will purchase again.
Dealing with car problems can be very stressful. However, anytime I have ever had any issue with any of my vehicles I have always came to B and D First, because they take great care of me and always make me feel like I’m in the best of all hands. I highly recommend anyone who needs any auto Parts, to make sure u give them a call. Great customer service and great people
Thank you Shamel Auto Parts ! If I could give a 10 out of 5 stars, I would do so. I bought a radio display for a 2017 Chevy volt. Your used display was flawless, fully functional, and at a competitive price. I am very grateful and will look to you FIRST when needing additional parts. Wishing you the very best.
Purchased parts online, great experience. Properly packaged, no issues on shipping. One small issue but they were very quick to fix it. Very good communication.
Shipped me a huge package containing a cargo cover and cargo divider for a 2021 XT5. Best price around and it arrived in perfect condition. Received in two days. Parts look like new. Created an auction with exactly what I needed and at an excellent price. Thanks for helping. My customer is very happy. Mike
