Unprofessional experience at Wayne’s Auto Service. I was asked to sign documents but was not given copies, and no one explained what the documents were before I signed them. When I asked for a copy of the legal document confirming that my vehicle was released to me, the staff became defensive instead of simply providing it.
Sandy and the receptionist responded with attitude rather than handling the situation professionally. All I asked for was a copy of the paperwork showing that my vehicle was released to me, which is a reasonable request when signing legal documents.
Customers should be informed about what they are signing and provided copies for their records. Basic professionalism and transparency would go a long way.

They denied my requests and only provided a receipt for payment.
While I had a horrible towing incident from the City of Detroit. I have to say this company helped me alot. I was not happy that they were not open until Monday after my car was towed from downtown Detroit. I would like to recognize Ms. Nicole who took my call and answered my questions. She helped me to retrieve my personal items that were needed before Monday. For anyone that gets towed in the City of Detroit please note you have to pay an additional towing fee to the city as well online.
Unfortunately now that Mike is gone, the prices are unfair. We were giving 3 different prices for axle work to be done on my car. The first price was $270. Once I arrived at the shop the price shot up to $390!? I asked why the price difference and was told that a lugnut needed to be replaced. That it was $16ish+ $6ish dollars to replace and labor. Still not close to the $120 extra I'm been told to pay. I asked if my father was told about the replacement of the lugnut he said no, said he'd take off the charge, rambling off other charges he'd take off and not to bring the car back.
My parents and I have been loyal customers for atleast 20 years. I called my father so they could discuss and this new manager was not willing to listen. Bragging about how he has hundreds of customers and we won't be missed, good luck finding someone else. Claiming that the $270 was an estimated price and it was all done over the phone, as if that makes a difference on what was said. Once I finally got my bill it came out to $286, with a lot of scribble work.
After telling me it was roughly $25 for a lugnut replacement, the bill states $90 for a stripped wheel stud. Two different prices, pieces and was not mentioned. The bill also says my total is $322 before being edited to the $286, so where did he pull $390 from.
The immediate jumping to banning me after he's been there all of 2 weeks definitely shows his level of character. He is a liar, and will try to rip you off. I talked with the mechanic that's usually there explaining how the price jump is ridiculous, even for an estimate and he agreed.
It's never a fun time when something happens to your car and it usually seems to be at the worst times! The lady that runs the office helped us get through it, even though her work day had ended a few minutes earlier! Even the mechanic went above and beyond to do what he could do to get us back on the road! Great place! Thanks Wayne's!!
My name is Glenda and,I have been going to these guys for years they are only people I trust to work on my car.Im calling them tomorrow for a new brakes.Even though I don't have much money.I know they will be reasonable.And I appreciate that.I need my vehicle to take my special needs son to school.And they will get it done for me to do just that.5 stars all the say around!!
Lady at front desk very very rude keep telling me things to bring back and when I bring it back it's always something else and while I was talking to her she put her hand up to me like shut up ! It is ridiculous up there!
When it comes down to auto repairs we all feel some type of being cheated Let me put all those fears to rest I have dealt with this company for over 20 years Transparency and no lies This is one place women can go and will not feel Just because they are a woman that they are being taken Transparency and integrity is the model of this company I will end my assessment with these words no one can resurrect your car if you haven't taken care of it
After I got home and checked the car I noticed the drivers door has gouge marks where the door closes all along the seams. Especially at the top of the door and roof.
I really don't know what there autoservice or prices for auto repairs would be...but unfortunately this is one of the places your car goes if it's impounded by the Detroit Police. About $125 for the first tow, $15 a day for storage and then if your vehicle gets towed back to your home or wherever you're going to have to pay for them to tow it there. They may charge by the mile;not really sure..but it cost me $90 for the second tow. Please let's try to DRIVE SAFELY!
Terrible and very unprofessional lady at the front desk! She kept trying to convince my mom that the car was totalled and not fixable, she even addressed me when my mom left the room and asked me to help her convince my mom to just leave it alone and junk it. When we spoke to the mechanic he agreed that she had absolutely no business giving her opinion as she needs to mind her business and answer the phones cuz she's not qualified to do anything more, he also said it was totally fixable and he's seen much worse cars get fixed. Then we came back the following day and she was SO rude that I was on shock that she deals with customers daily, super unprofessional and talks to people like she's better than them. I don't understand why people like her are in customer service! The only reason I give them one star is because I can't post this review without giving them at least one.
GOOD DAY= DISABLED VETERAN - don't go there with the proper paper work from the V.A. and police, and expect a break... - you don't matter. But can commit commercial fraud , with consent of owner, on phone, this is for the police impound side of the biz, I even had the extra 150 dollars to have it towed to my home- I HAD TO ENCURE HIS GRIPE TO GO HOME AT FOUR- BUT MY PROOF OF CLAIM AND NEED FOR HELP WAS NOT RECOGNIZED. NO MY PTSD LETTER - I FEEL LIKE A SECOND CLASSED CITIZEN - THEY DOO HELP OLD LADIES IN HONDAS- WITH 275, I EVEN HAD A VET REP WITNESS WITH ME.
If you are in need of help and have no one else that you can possibly Trust to take care of your car try this place they are extremely reputable and they stand by what they do they have taken care of my car for more than 40 years
