In Detroit, MI, recent feedback for Global Auto Parts skews negative; Overall: 37/100. Themes include rude, unprofessional service, poor phone etiquette, long waits or being ignored, disputed returns, price changes, and high or non‑negotiable pricing (plus a credit‑card fee). Several report damaged or misrepresented parts and a dirty, muddy yard, hurting trust and ease of finding parts. Strengths appear in pockets: quick in‑and‑out visits, fair prices on some items, helpful staff at times, ready‑pulled inventory, and one‑off notes of organization. Not all 30 reviews available; positives are outnumbered.
Let me start by saying I was greeted by everyone with a hello and a smile, followed up with great customer service. Went to get a new cab for my pickup and before trying to sell me on anything, they took me out to the yard to inspect the parts first. In the ad on Car Parts it said there was no glass in it. Upon inspection they had accidentally left the front windshield installed. Most places would at this point try and charge you more money, or make you wait while they remove the glass. But not these guys, they were awesome. They realized they forgot about the windshield, and they let me have it at no additional charge. Even after they loaded it on my trailer, the sales guy came back out to see if I needed any additional help strapping it to the trailer.
I would highly recommend checking these guys out for any parts you need. Plus, their prices are also very fair. I left there feeling great, and will definitely give them my business from here on out.
I reached out to Global Auto Parts about a part I needed, and they let me know it was in stock. When I arrived, Fred greeted me with such kindness and had someone bring the part right out to my car. While we were chatting, we mentioned that the front headlights looked cloudy. Without hesitation, Fred went above and beyond — he personally cleaned the headlamps, and the cloudiness disappeared.
It was such a thoughtful gesture and made the whole experience feel genuinely caring and welcoming.
Good people and good service. If they have the parts, you get good quality and prices.if they don't have, they put efforts and times to locate the parts you need. Thanks so much
I had an excellent experience with Global Auto Parts in Detroit. Their team was incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and helpful from start to finish. They quickly found exactly the part I needed, and the quality was outstanding. Pricing was very fair, and the customer service was top-notch.
What really stood out was how honest and efficient they were. They answered all my questions and made the entire process smooth and stress-free. It’s hard to find businesses that are this reliable and customer-focused.
I highly recommend Global Auto Parts to anyone looking for quality auto parts and exceptional service. I will definitely be returning for future purchases!
I bought 2 wheels with tires & have them shipped to Florida, picture I received showed minimum damage & I was ok with that, when I got the wheels they have excessive damage & bent on the back side was never mentioned asked for compensation to fix & refinish them & they were arrogant & rude. & they won't even entertain the idea of refunding 1 penny. I advise everybody not to do business with this business.
Called in the morning to see if the spare tire I needed was available and it was. Went in at around noon and in 5 minutes I had the spare tire in hand and was on my way. It was in great shape and I couldn’t have asked for anything more.
If I can give them 0 stars I would. The guy told me part was good no damage so i drove an hour just to see it was obviously damaged. Waste of time they did this twice to me. Both times I double check and make sure the part is good only to show up and it has damage. Unprofessional, won't be doing business a 3rd time with them.
Absolutely Moran and walked in and they said nothing for a good 10 minutes and then when I asked for something he said wait let me finish my smoke and then leaves right after
Very low and bad customer service. Not professional. I ordered a part for $250 and when I got there he switched up on me and wanted me to pay $350 after he made me drive 40mins
rude people. dont even say hi when you walk in they talk to you in a way to belittle you its like they’re being forced to work. plus, wanted double the price for a part and when i told them that these couple of places had it for half the price they wouldn’t budge. went and got it for 50$ instead of 100$ and walked out with a smile.
Nasty people I will naver buy another partS from them
Make sure you see the parts before you buy it other ways you will be screw also the prices is to high. My recommendation to allllll stay away from this place
Got a used rim here for half the price of new. It was already pulled off the car. A big plus. Yeah, the place is filthy with bulletproof glass etc; you know the drill. But, so are most salvage yards and the owner was nice enough and had the unique part I needed exactly when I needed it.
They charge 4 percent extra for credit card purchases. So, pay cash if it's expensive and make sure to ask for a receipt.
They are completely understaffed or just lazy because they made me walk to get my part in the rain and their ground is all mud. Terrible experience but I just needed the part badly. Never going there again tho
HORRIBLE SERVICE! Rude, waste of time, and running a scam cover up business. The facility does not like to sell parts, they use the building as a cover up to take cars apart and take the parts over seas. DO NOT GO THERE!!! They don't even deserve the one star
I would never buy a part here these guys are Nonnegotiable and their prices are way to high he wanted 50$ cheaper than the part was brand new at from autozone
