This rating is based on customer reviews, inventory size, pricing, and service quality
In Detroit, MI, Anderson's Auto Repair is rated highly overall: customers note professional, family-run service, clear communication, honest pricing, and fast same-day repairs on brakes, exhaust, fuel pumps, and cooling systems, with no hard upsells and courteous treatment. Pricing is generally fair (occasionally called pricey but justified). Common gripes are limited parking and a few serious complaints about misdiagnosis and a bad car sale (possibly shop vs. sales lot confusion). Little to no info on inventory, yard organization, or parts-finding. Overall score: 92/100.
What clients say about Anderson's Auto Repair in Detroit (MI)
Had a jeep compass that I took to this place a few times kept having the same problem so I kept taking it back because I already paid him for it and each time he told me it was something else and charged me more come to find out the engine was going out and he was getting down on me instead of telling me my engine was about to go out soon and he didn’t really do any of the work he told me he would
Are you planning on relocating your business? It seems as if some are confusing your shop with the Auto Sales company. I will say that the volume of cars they have in the lot makes it difficult to park there now.
You’ve done good work on our family vehicles, I will continue to use you guys in the future.
I love this auto shop and tell people about it when they need mechanic work. They are the nicest people and honest, which is becoming rare in this world.
Very nice man working with his children on auto repair. Very honest, and extremely reasonable pricing. Highly recommend. Drove in with an exhaust leak, drove out same day with the problem solved. He even stayed a bit after hours to get it done that day. Definitely the best experience I've had at a mechanic before. I'll be going here regularly for my auto work from now on. Highly recommend.
I had a great experience here. Gary is a very nice person and struck me as extremely honest. He didn't try to oversell additional services and was very friendly. The prices are super reasonable. Quick service. I will definitely be back for any other repairs!

They did a overhaul on my cooling system in 2 hours on a 2002 mercury sable I'm back on the road again, Best-Prices Deals on Google u can't beat anywhere else they make sure the car runs after the Repair. Appreciate the Contribution of Services you Offer. Thank you
So far so good ? Gary, the owner is a really nice guy, he was very polite on the phone and got me in immediately despite his work load. He's truthful and straightforward & doesn't treat you like you're a woman who doesn't know anything about cars. Instead he treats you like a customer & properly educates you on what's wrong with your vehicle ? I greatly appreciated!
( Stay tuned in for part two once I actually get my vehicle back!)
I took my car here to replace my catalytic converter (which was damaged by an engine that is known to burn lots of oil). He also noticed a small leak in my flex pipe and fixed that too while he was under there. They were fair with the price and did great work. I will be coming back and referring friends. Gary, the owner, is an honest guy.
