This rating is based on customer reviews, inventory size, pricing, and service quality
Based on recent feedback, Holbrook Auto Parts 8 Mile & Van Dyke in Detroit, MI scores about 95/100: customers praise professional, friendly staff who go above and beyond (installing/carrying batteries, quick finds), fair pricing, and solid inventory—parts are located fast or ordered immediately. Wait times are typically short and matches are accurate; some mention parts warranties. Weak spots are rare but real: a restocking-fee dispute on a bad part and a next-day quote that increased by $100. Reviews focus on counter service; yard organization isn’t covered. Overall: highly reliable.
I visited the store this afternoon to purchase a battery for my car. Not only was I able to purchase the battery, the manager (for a small fee) installed it for me. It's service like this that creates permanent customers. Though not near my home, I'll make it a point to see them for my automotive needs. I highly recommend you doing the same.
They are on point with they're service all the way around got the part ordered for me since they didnt have it in store while we were still talking and had it ready for me when I pulled up, from the phone call to the store it was a 30 min process absolutely amazing
Absolutely exceptional service. I was in much need for a part replacing my radiator and needed it as soon as possible, they accommodated me incredibly fast with above and beyond customer service! Incredible price aswell. This shop is an absolute BLESSING! THANK YOU!
I called them asked for a battery, they said they have it. I told them hold because I was walking. They told me* we are not about to make you walk with a battery, it’s cold. They took me home. Great people.
This place is amazing, they have every part that you’re looking for, the crew is totally amazing and very hard workers and always ask for Jon he’s super nice and found the part I was looking for right away.
Love this location! If you looking for the best in pricing and amazing customer service this is the place!! Stop by the 8 and van dyke location and you will get more than what you are looking…Jeff always comes with the jokes and if you go in go see him and don’t forget to bring him some donuts
love this store and location. The entire staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Great pricing and always stocked with great parts. 5 stars and also Jeff love donuts.
I always choose this location because the staff is exceptional. Every time I visit, they are warm, helpful, and sincere. The strong sense of camaraderie among the team truly shines through in the way they treat their customers—it feels like being part of a family.
Everytime I go in this location, my favorite two r at the desk. Always polite, listens to me, informative, and didn't just try to take my money. I really appreciate them
This place is horrible. They charge you a restocking fee for parts that cannot be restocked and that are no good and they don’t give a damn this is their hustle and it is such bad bad business I will never ever ever ever go there again and I suggest anyone that needs apart you would be better off, not having your car fixed then dealing with them
Ace & Jeff are the experts to see when you go in here!! Very thoughtful & customer service was on point! Even carried my BEYOND heavy battery for me to my car!!! Thank you all for the awesome quick service!
Holbrook auto parts is absolutely amazing. I called them 10 minutes before they closed and they accommodated me. in fact they had my part there the next morning. These guys were funny, helpful, and really know their stuff. Jeff made sure I was taken care of from the moment we spoke on the phone until end of my transaction. I’ll go here first EVERYTIME thanks guys!
Eddie and the whole staff there were so helpful.. very nice and professional.. I highly recommend this store to purchase all your auto parts from they know how to take care of their customers.. I also called around to all the other auto parts store.. they had the lowest and best price.
Recently visited Holbrook to grab a few parts for my car. They were EXTREMELY helpful in figuring out exactly what I needed. Everything I needed they had in stock or had at the store within 2 days. The customer service was immaculate, they even carried the larger parts to my car for me. Never had such a pleasant experience with an auto parts business. Jeff and his colleagues were extremely knowledgeable, I'll never take my business elsewhere.
The service was excellent and extremely helpful. Jeff was on top of everything I had to order a part and it came fast. I don't know much about starters. But Jeff helped me and showed me something's. Jeff is the best but Marcus is just as good. Wonderful job guys.
