It was great. We got what we were looking for, a 4wd Subaru for winter. He was very pleasant and excitable. Got a deal less than asking price. I was overall happy with the experience and the car. It is what it is and best yet, it's paid for.
Was looking for a cheap AWD. Bought an old subaru impreza. Runs solid. The sales fella was great. No BS. Was quick to point out the good and bad.
Side note: the bad review folks clearly don’t understand how buying a car under 10k works. Most of the cars on the lot are under 5k. They are older cars with a good bit of miles. You can expect to spend $500-$1000 per year keeping a car like this running. You also don’t get to make payments here. You bring cash and pay in full.
The guy who runs this joint is douche. Pulled on the lot a week ago with muddy boots and my job-site beater. Told him I was in need of a "new" truck. Told him what I was looking for (a full sized 4 wheel drive truck with either a king or super cab).Told him I only wanted enough credit so that my purchase would have the added benefit of boosting my credit score. Before I could get "My budget is $10,000 and I want to put at least $7500 down," out of my mouth...he looked my up and down with utter disdain. Then like I was keeping him from a date with a supermodel, he blew me off with an abrupt, "I don't think I can do anything for you," and stormed off.
Dumbass. $10,000 budget - $7500 down cash-in-hand, on a two-bit used car lot - and you don't think you can do anything for me?
Long story short, I bought a truck from Bob Ruth Ford in Dillsburg. Worked out well for everyone. I got a "new" truck, Bob got his light bill paid, Ron Hoffman (my awesome go-getter young buck salesman) got the commission, and you, McFat-Ass, got nothing.
I post this now because I was pulling out of the KFC near Spry Motorcars this evening and there is this car sitting in the middle of the entrance/exit sorting out his order and blocking traffic in either direction. After a minute or so I gave one of those polite short toots of the horn. The driver yells something inaudible and the passenger violently shoots the bird back at me. They get the message and pull out though. As they turn left I see the car is emblazoned with a full body Spry Motorcars vinyl. It is the runner car from Spry Motorcars. Guess who is driving? That's right, it's fatty McAss Nugget.
So glad I did not buy a truck from these guys. I have to say for the record that Larry over at Ricke Brothers must ashamed to be associated with this lot.
