The west York location on Route 30 is the only one I currently use. I have found them to be knowledgeable and honest. The have saved me money several times and always given me good advice
Bought what I thought was a brand new starter only to find out they only sell remaned equipment. Starter ended up being defective after being tested in store. Asked for my money back and was told it is against store policy to return money and tbey didnt have enough cash in store but offered me another remaned starter. Like how in the flying h e double hockey stick are you reselling used starters and dont have an option for a brand new one? Worst experience ever
Store manager changed my battery in the sweltering heat with a smile and great attitude. Alaura could not have been any more helpful! Will be sure to use this store for all my automotive needs. THANK YOU ALAURA
Tried to return a part that I bought that was wrong and they wouldn't return it because of it being electrical... I JUST WALKED OUT THE DOOR WITH IT HOW CAN YOU NOT TAKE IT BACK
I can't say enough about how wonderful Allora, the General Manager, was during my experience. I have an ignition interlock device, and honestly, my experience with it hasn't always been the best. But Allora treated me with such respect, kindness, and understanding—it really made all the difference. She made sure I felt like a human being, not just a person dealing with a difficult situation. Her patience and compassion meant so much to me, and it’s rare to find someone who genuinely cares and goes out of their way to make you feel valued. You can tell that Allora takes pride in what she does and I’m so grateful for how she handled everything with such professionalism and heart. Thank you, Allora!
I had a broken windshield wiper blade and needed to replace both. David at the kenneth rd location helped me in the pouring rain and we still couldnt get the blade on. He recommended going home and using pliers to open the arm up... with ease it did. My wiper blades are now installed with the help of David. This store needs to commend this young gentleman because not too many are like him in customer service.
I called my husband on the way home from work during a small snow storm and told him that I needed 3 new wiper blades before the next days ice storm. He quickly placed an online order, and they had it ready in 15 mins when I got there. The sweet girl working even came out to change out all 3 wipers for me in the freezing cold because I didn't know how to do it. I do know that it's part of their job to do so if asked, but the old wipers gave her a really hard time to remove, and it was about 15°F and snowing. To me, she went above and beyond!
Good auto parts store. Always have what I need off the shelf. Only gripe is please remove bushes to left while exiting parking lot onto Kenneth road. Can’t see over bushes and make dangerous pulling out into traffic with people zooming up into right hand turn lane.
Went in to get battery checked, very good customer service from the man who helped us named Kyle. He gave us multiple options and a very good experience :)
Went in because I needed windshield wipers after one of mine broke. The guy at the register sold me 2 different sized wipers and basically told me I had to YouTube how to replace them myself, despite there being a sign on the window saying they replace wipers
I went for a battery but they tested mine and told me it was good. I bought a terminal cleaner and was good to go. It is great finding an honest place for automotive needs. They certainly have my business going forward.
Very disappointed we have spent $$$ at this store and we get kicked out of the parking lot for watching the street rods the 2nd night. But we were allowed to sit there the 1st night. Now other people are allowed to park there. We will not be shopping there again.
Gentleman assisted me in finding correct bolts for engine cover and even install them for me. Although it was only a $4 part he took the time to assist me and it made my day. Congrats to the staff at this advanced Auto on Kenneth road in York Pennsylvania.
I want to thank Advance Auto Parts on Kenneth Road in York for going above and beyond today!!! They were 1.6 miles away, but because it was the main radiator hose that blew apart they did deliver me my hose and anti-freeze to me along side of the road...in this world today it's great to have companies and people willing to help!! Thanks again!!!
This is the second time I ordered a part for a vehicle (Kenneth Rd Store #06848), and the part did not come in the day I was told it would be there. I purchased the part on 11/27/20 and was told it would be there the next day (11/28/20) at 3 pm. It was coming from Hazelton. Just got off the phone, and the part is not there. I was told to "try tomorrow morning." I was also told I had to pay for the part before I received it. In the past, I was able to pay when I went to retrieve the part. I will NEVER deal with this establishment again. I may even boycott Advance in favor of Autozone from here out.
UPDATE: 11/29/20- Part still has not come in after two conversations
11/30/20- Part still has not come in, no idea where it is or if/when it's coming. Called Customer Service, after explaining, she put me on hold to call the store. While on hold, they either hung up or got disconnected somehow. They did call back. No one is able to contact the warehouse in Hazleton, PA to see what the hell is going on. RUN AROUND STORY! They told a different story to Customer Service about when/if the part will come in.
I wanna give a shout out to Ryan Ludwick! He is the awesome sales associate who assisted me at the store on Kenneth Rd. He was amazingly helpful and even went out of his way to make sure that my car 🚗was in good shape before I left the store! Me and my car want to thank you so much Ryan for all your help, you deserve a raise ASAP!💪🏾💰
Went into the store today, and multiple customers had no masks while talking with employees. The two employees I saw had their masks around their chins, mouths and nose completely uncovered. One employee coughing, not even covering mouth. You are better off going somewhere else, or ordering from an online retailer.
I had just gotten off a 12 hour night shift and my check engine light came on. I knew Advance Auto usually does free readings to get a code. I get there right when they opened (something I am aware could be annoying first thing in the morning) and I walked in to absolute silence from the gentleman behind the counter. He was not wearing his mask properly and he didn’t even look up at me once when I asked him if they were currently doing tests. He simply said “no” without even looking at me and grunted after I said thank you. Having been in the service industry I understand having a rough morning but to not even meet someone’s gaze is incredibly disrespectful.
My alternator started fire after I left here. They offer free battery and alternator testing. The manager said he couldn’t check it because he couldn’t leave his employee alone in the store. It made no sense! I had my kids with me!
I ordered a part online with them and the order was ready to pick up even before I was ready to head to the store! I went back a few weeks later with a part number and they found it in a short amount of time and it was in stock. Very pleased with the satisfaction I had at this store and will return when I need parts. Great to know that I can get parts the same day without having to wait for them to be shipped.
I recently had to order parts for my 1997 Toyota Camry. We were broken down at the house and needed the parts to repair the car. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. When one of the parts wasn't in stock, the sales associate told me what store had it and what time they could get the part in if I didn't want to travel. This IS customer service! Great job guys! Thank you for all your hard work!
I needed to get a battery at 5pm on July 4th and received friendly & professional service from Abel and his co-worker. They sold me a new battery at a great price & replaced it at no charge. Highly recommend!
Bought a high end battery for my car that over the winter my car wasn't starting. Still under warranty the man at the counter wanted to recharge it rather than replace it. Let's just say we had a slight difference of opinion. He wasn't happy with choice but I had him give me a new one. Only problem now is that although it is new I don't get the two year warranty. Supposedly I am only allowed what's left on the warranty under the old one. SMH
I'm giving this one to the store on KENNETH RD IN YORK PA. They go out of their way to help you get what you need, friendly, clean store, try to get you the best for least amount of money, know their stuff, and genuinely care. Dover store.... Rude, dirty store, will lie and manipulate to get most money they can from you. The employees are rude, uneducated, and lazy
