Was hesitant at first to go to a different dealership than I normally do but in the end I’m glad I did because they had the car I wanted. Kara was extremely helpful and made the trade in from my 2024 VW Taos SE to my perfect VW a breeze. I’m so in love with my 2026 VW Tiguan SEL R-Line turbo in avocado green. She is perfect and I named her Francine. I also have to say the GM Brad was extremely helpful and nice as well.

This place practices shady business tactics. I was quoted one price, then told the vehicle would be $1,000 more if I paid cash. Let that sink in — you’re penalized for not financing through them. That’s not transparency. That’s manipulation. On top of that, the way certain customers were treated was uncomfortable to watch. Veterans and individuals with disabilities deserve respect — period. What I observed did not reflect professionalism or basic decency. Car buying should be straightforward. Instead, it felt like pressure, games, and selective pricing. Do yourself a favor: ✔️ Question every number ✔️ Read every line ✔️ Don’t assume the first price is the real price Plenty of dealerships operate with integrity. This didn’t feel like one of them.

Absolute worst example of customer service I’ve ever experienced. This is a copy below of the email that was sent to me mocking my financial situation and Credit situation at the time. Mind you I have financed several cars through capital one and my credit score has always been above 700 recently due to unforeseen issues. My credit score took a dip and I needed to purchase a car. This is how I was treated. Here is her email Its actually not a bait and switch, a lot of people utilize the Capital One preapproval prior to coming in to our dealership and we have no problem helping people prior to coming into the showroom. If you would have told me you wanted to pay cash I would have just sent you a cash sheet haha but you insisted that you were financing and going to put a minimal amount of money down. Sorry your credit isnt the best, hope it gets better for you!

I have used York VW many times and their service and quality are excellent. I have had pricing issues. The price is always higher at pick up than what they quote me when making an appointment. Get an email price quote to avoid this issue. They do great work.

Joseph Schultz is a great person and salesman. He made my mom comfortable with her car buying process. I highly recommend if you shop for a car at York Volkswagen to go with Joseph.

This dealership wants nothing more than to rip you off. My fiance and I have been communicating with Joe Schultz for about 3 weeks regarding trading in her previous car to upgrade. We had received a number of different offers from other dealerships, but her family had worked with Joe twice already (both times were horrible), so we wanted to give him a shot. Not only were we fully transparent about the value that we wanted for the trade in, but we showed him a quote sheet from another dealership and told him to match it or we walk, to which he agreed. Without ever driving the vehicle or doing anything other than taking a few pictures, he valued it $2,000 below what we were asking for it, a figure that put the car’s value (a 2016 Ford Escape SE with 60k miles) below another 2016 Ford Escape SE with 87k miles on it. The only good thing Joe did for us was tell us to go to the Hanover VW since that is where the quote sheet was from. We happily made a deal with Hanover Volkswagen and had the best experience in a dealership we have ever had, so thank you for telling us to go there Joe, that was excellent advice!

Recently purchased a vehicle and was extremely pleased with the service and process. Joe was an attentive, unassuming salesman that worked with my budget and needs. Ask about the family plan. No other dealerships offer this great incentive!

I love York Volkswagen. I have not purchased a vehicle is 11 years. It was scary to me. But after I was introduced to Kara and we chatted it was like being with a good friend. Someone that listens to you and you trust. She transitioned me from a Beetle to a Taos with her knowledge and having once owned a Beetle herself she knew what would be a good fit for me since they don’t make Beetles any longer. I am now busy falling in love with my Taos. Big Thank You to York Volkswagen, Kara and all the guys in finance that made this happen. You are amazing, knowledgeable and kind. You are a Family.

This place is amazing, especially Joe. He didnt push my husband or I to buy. He made sure to answer every question we had and definitely knew what he was talking about. I worked with Joe Shultz. I was very nervous to buying another car. I needed a used and didn’t want to get stuck with a lemon. Met Joe and he was terrific. Update: I had to say goodbye to an old friend built in 2012. However, Joe Schultz patiently worked with me to say hello to my new 2025 friend. My sales experience could not have been better. I've visited other surrounding VW dealers, and York VW truly is the best. The service advisors are knowledgeable, and the work done had always been supurb.

Noah and Brad were great and easy to work with. Noah was great with the Product Knowledge and Brad did a great job working behind the scenes with the banks to get me approved for a New 2025 Jetta! Great Experience

I can't say enough good about Brad Pierce here at this dealership. I reached out to a dozen different places searching for an extended warranty for my new Atlas and it was very difficult to get even a few people on the phone. This was not the case at York Volkswagen. I was able to get Brad on the phone in ample time and he helped me greatly. He was very straight forward and gave me all my detailed options. Within a few days, my selection and purchase was completed with ease. I just wanted to give a shoutout and huge thanks to York Volkswagen.

Riley is an amazing salesman and goes above and beyond for his customers. Anytime I stop in, he is very accommodating for everything I need and always willing to go out of his way to wash my vehicle. I'm gonna go out on a limb here with the 5-stars. The only pressure I felt was actually a question from Riley my young salesman: "Well, are you ready to sign paperwork?" I already knew what I wanted & this was just after pulling back in from the test drive, 15-min. after stepping through the front doors. Paperwork was signed with an experienced finance guy (forgive me of his name) & I got everything on a USB drive which eliminated excessive tree waste! That was a first & nice touch! I was going to pick up the vehicle later & was in contact with Riley the whole time with details whom appreciated my military service as well. The car was cleaned up before I got it. I had an issue a few weeks after purchase which turned out to be a small mishap (not their fault) but they took me into service promptly, on my time schedule & on their dime. Everyone seemed respectful & attentive. They are alert & present if you need someone & it felt welcoming unlike most talked about dealerships with pressure & unwanted attention, believe me I've bought many vehicles all over. If I ever need a good used vehicle or new VW this is where I'll come back to for sure.

Everything was perfect, bought a car, came back to pick it up and all the paperwork was ready. I was in and out, about an hour! Definitely worth buying your next vehicle here. Most importantly thanks for the VW swag items!!!!

Very nice dealership, as someone would probably expect in the nice town of York. Worked with Eli who was very polite, friendly, and easy to do business with. He was incredibly attentive, and answered all of my questions. The dealership is clean and welcoming and everyone made me feel comfortable, which can be uncommon in car dealerships. I never felt pressured to buy and didn't feel like anyone was overly pushy trying to sell me something I didn't want to buy. I wound up purchasing a certified pre-owned Jetta, which I've named Brown Eye. They gave me what I considered to be a very honest trade value for my car, and the finance was able to squeeze some savings into my loan so I could add an extended warranty and gap coverage in the event this Jetta suffers the same fate as my long departed Golf. It was nice doing business with them. They went above and beyond. I didn't get there until late and they stayed late so I could leave with my car that day since I was driving two hours to get it. Lots of dealerships will give you a low trade when you travel that far for a specific car because they know you really want it or you wouldn't have made the trip. Eli also sent me his personal text number in case I needed anything I could reach out. Really happy with the deal and experience, absolutely no buyer's remorse and will gladly do business with them again in the future if it's an option. Don't hesitate to do business there, they really do treat you like family.

We were driving around looking at SUV's. All of their new cars are very nice. But we found a used car on their lot that caught my wife's eye. Happy wife, happy life. We already own a Jetta TDI. We will keep it as long as we can. We will be having our new "used" car maintenance done here. Staff was friendly. Lynaya was very nice and professional. No pressure to buy. Very little wiggle room on price. However, we still got the deal done.
