Took my son's Audi there to get inspected on a recommendation from our regular mechanic since it was an import. Was told it needed $3100 worth of work to pass inspection. We brought it home with the intention of selling, but decided to just get it fixed. They said they would get to it monday, but possibly sooner if we could get it there earlier. Took it there the thursday before, and after a week we texted to check the status. Received no response from wednesday until the following monday when they said they looked it over and now it would be $3900. Called and spoke to Erin to ask why it wasn't fixed, and why they went over it again, and how it was now $800 more when nothing changed from there initial inspection. She kept apologizing and said it was a miscommunication, but bottom line is they had the car for a week and a half, never fixed anything, but somehow quoted $800 more for the repairs. Not sure what kind of business they're running, but I would avoid it!

I've been taking my car to Ultimotive Service Center for a while now, and I can't recommend them highly enough! The team here does phenomenal work. Every visit is a testament to their dedication to customer service. They always take the time to explain what needs to be done and why, ensuring I understand the process and costs involved. Their attention to detail and commitment to keeping my car in top shape is unmatched, and I have been to a lot of shops in York. What I appreciate most is their proactive approach. They've helped me identify potential issues before they become major problems, saving me both time and money in the long run. I have a 2006 VW Jetta so this is hugely important. I truly spend less on my car now than I did when I first bought it, which I attribute to their approach to preventative maintenance. After working with them a number of times now I feel confident that my car is in the best hands possible in the area.

My Volvo was going screeeeech-brrrr-boink when I brought it in, but now all it knows how to say is vroom-vroom! 10/10 service, great mechanics :)

I would never go there again they had my bow for almost a year and did no work on it. not a phone call or anything I had to call them only to find out my car was sitting with no work. then when I asked the price they told me a crazy price I had to have my car towed from the location to another location and had the work done for half the price. Bad service

Everyone was awesome, they did great work on my 2016 MINI. I'll be going back to them for all my MINI maintain and repair needs.

Had a 2020 Q3 inspected and serviced there in April. Service was great and at a more than fair price compared to dealers. Going to make an appointment for my 2018 A3 convertible very soon.

Everyone I dealt with were helpful and nice (especially Erin), and worked with me as far as what my budget would allow at the time. They did great work on my 2009 MINI, and were more concerned with helping me than trying to make as much money as possible. I'll be going back to them soon for an oil change and a general check-up, and will be going back whenever I need a knowledgeable mechanic to work on my car. Thanks to the staff for such great service!

Brought my car in for the first time (Audi A7) with several serious problems. Ultimotive diagnosed them quickly and accurately, and gave me very clear expectations for the cost and time to service. They told me their professional opinion even if it wasn't to their benefit, which I find rare these days. I recently got my car back, the bill was very close to the estimate, and the car is driving as well as it ever has, if not better! They've certainly earned my business and I'll be referring any of my European car owner friends to them! Work done was on timing chains, engine mounts, control arm bushings, and inspection.

I recently bought a used 2006 BMW Z4 3.0si & brought it to Ultimotive for a general going-over & a PA State Inspection. They did a fantastic job bringing everything up to spec & fixing the wonky steering (adding bushings that were missing (!!!) and replacing some that were shot). Highly recommended!

Spoked to a female there and asked for an estimate to perform a valve job on a Mini Cooper. She took my information and said that they were shorthanded that day but would have someone call me the next day. A called them back two days later after not hearing from anyone. The same person again took my information and said that someone would call me back within a day or two. Almost two weeks later and still no call back. She was nice enough on the phone, but no follow-through.

Very fair and honest estimate for a convertible top and vehicle inspection. I would trust this organization and the quality of their work.

Not sure where to start this praise for ultimotive. It's probably because of comparisons to the shop I used to go to for my BMW repairs, which were always stressful & nightmarish. Ultimotive is great. When you make an appointment your car is worked on that day. The mechanic who works on my vehicle Adam is incredibly knowledgeable and has amazing attention to detail. They try to save me money when I bring my car in for repairs. I had Ultimotive completely modify my vehicle with hybrid Turbo's and the rest of go fast parts. I can't give enough praise, but when I bring my car in for a fix I have zero worries and know that I am dealing with honest, talented, capable mechanics and managers. If you need a good mechanic shop whether its for a German vehicle or any make this is the place I will always go and continue to refer people. Chip, Erin, Adam, Rob, and Even Tony on the Porsche side. I can't say anymore except thank you.

Best BMW shop hands down! Been taking my E90 there since the warranty has been out. Great prices and extremely knowledgeable!

I recently picked up an R56 Mini, which are known for a ton of issues. Did some research and found out Ultimotive actually specializes in Mini & BMW. Scheduled an appointment for them to go over and replace a LOT- guess what, they actually told me I didn’t need some of the work I requested. Blew my mind because that one little action proved they aren’t going to do unnecessary work just to make some money off of me. Plus, excellent communication about what’s going on and fair prices. I will be taking both of my vehicles here in the future!!

The only place in York where me and my friend bring our MINI Coopers. I trust their expertise and trust that they will not take advantage of a situation. Truly kind people as well. I can't recommend highly enough.

I couldn't be happier w my experience. I brought my 2012 Mini Cooper to Ultimotive w a lengthy list of action items. They not only executed the list, but they also showed/explained to me what had occurred as well as what they did to repair the issues. It's evident that they take great pride in their work. And best of all, their pricing is super fair. I will certainly be a repeat customer.

I grew up in York but am a resident of Philadelphia. I'd been having some trouble with my 2003 Volvo S60 refusing to accelerate which had been accompanied by a grinding sound for a couple of years but I wasn't terribly concerned since I don't use my car that often in Philly. The issue peaked during a trip back to York on a Sunday-- I wasn't able to accelerate past ~45mph on the turnpike-- so dropped the car off here by recommendation of Larry, a family friend who runs Concours Unlimited. I am highly satisfied with this team as I believe them to be perfectly honest, knowledgeable and trustworthy based on this experience. Monday after dropping the car off, I spoke with Chip over the phone and told him they could keep the Volvo as long as they needed to since I'd taken the train back to Philly and wouldn't be needing it anytime soon. A few phone chats and a couple of weeks later, I came back to the shop and Chip explained to me in person what he believed to be the root of the issue-- the "throttle body", which was located next to the catalytic converter and had probably been subtly affected when I'd had the catalytic converter replaced 2 years prior. He was handily able to show me an example of a throttle body so I'd understand what was happening when I attempted to accelerate too abruptly. He offered me the option of replacing the throttle body but told me that he felt it was unnecessary and that based on my car's system configuration, the failure to accelerate was a self-preserving mechanism he referred to as "limp mode". He didn't charge me for the exam or the tutorial, which I thought was incredibly generous. Based on Chip's tutorial and my newly acquired understanding of the throttle body/limp mode mechanism, I was able to drive my car back to Philly the same day without further issue. I plan to bring my car back to Ultimotive anytime I have another question and whenever it's time for inspection.

Chip Kopp has worked on my cars for many years. When he opened his own garage, I was happy to continue to use his services. He currently takes care of my 2010 Honda Element. I drive this vehicle for personal and business use, and I typically log 20,000+ miles a year. If my car isn't in tip-top shape, I don't earn a paycheck. I know when he makes a recommendation for service or repair, he has this in mind. I trust his recommendations AND his work 100%. He's efficient, he's smart, and he has tons of certifications. His prices are extremely fair, especially when the work he does is excellent quality. You can't go wrong using Ultimotive Service Center.
