Worked with Brett Boswell over the last few days. He listened and was able to reduce our monthly spend. I appreciate the quick responses and attention given to us for our church's waste bill. Thank you Brett.

Our small business had been with Republic Services for 13 years. Never missed a payment to them. In the last year, we had terrible customer service for a small business. Multiple missed pickups for our container, numerous phone calls to request service, and we were sent photos of our neighbor’s container being serviced and told it was ours! When we sent a letter asking to end service by the end of the month, our container was hauled away without informing us service was ending 11 days before the end of the month, with our personal locks still on the container. We were then expected to pay for a 2nd pickup later this week when the container was gone from our property! To top it off we were told WE broke the contract and owed almost $1000! We filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Look elsewhere for your waste needs. Republic Services does not care about small business in York County.

It has been 5 weeks since they have picked up our recycling. When we message them, they still do not come out to pick up. They say they will, but they don't. Plus, they want to raise the prices. I can understand not picking it up because of bad weather, but this is ridiculous. Only 2 days out of the 5 weeks have been bad weather.

Absolute trash. Sorry for the pun. Trying to pay my mother’s bill. 2 phone numbers on the invoice don’t work. The automated phone tells me to contact my CC provider. They say there is nothing wrong with. Same with online pay. Found several numbers online that don’t work. More than an hour wasted and bill is still not paid. This is what happens when the government forces you to buy from only one company. No customer service. They have their contract and don’t care. p.s. I’m in the market for a temporary dumpster. What do you think the chances are of Republic Services even getting to bid?

They are awful. It’s not all completely their fault because my new neighborhood home owners won’t have 2 pick ups a week therefore we only have one. That being said, living with virtually 5 adults because of 3 teenagers and being people who entertain, we produce garbage. Any extra they won’t take and they leave some stupid sticker. They take more time not throwing Amazon cardboard in the back to make these stupid stickers.

When considering republic services what you should get straight is If you desire a once every two weeks pick up you will not get it even if you were under contract for many years as that. What you are told is that you are paying the two-week price, but we will stop out every week. I can tell you that the two-week price I have previously paid was well under $200 a month and once they changed the pick-up to every week that you aren't paying for it turned into over $350 a month. when I learned about this and called in over 5 times to get it remedied, I was told that I am getting the best price for an 8-yard dumpster with two-week pick-up pricing. I had gotten a flyer in the mail from KBS and had gotten a quote. the quote was for $130 a month locked in for 3 years. I called republic back and they said that is a scam and that it will change and quickly. Well, it's been about 4 months now and guess what, it is still the same and they come when we are scheduled with no additional fees. I told republic to come and get their dumpster numerous times and it eventually lead to me calling the police and the police just stated that to call republic and let them know they have until Friday to come and get it and then put it in storage and go to the courts and fight to keep it since they left it on property on your private property. Finally, they came and got the dumpster. I tried to be nice, and they drew the ugly out of me so no I was not nice about it but how many times should someone explain to a brain-dead account manager that I am feeling a certain way about them ripping me off? So now let's get to the invoice, I said I am not paying the amount they want but it fell on deaf ears and now they want to send the account to collections. I will plan to stop out in person so we can resolve this. Be ready!

I manage several commercial properties and work with Republic for the majority of the locations. Recently I worked with Brett Boswell to change services at one of our locations. Brett was great and easy to work with. The entire process was seamless.

We have had an excellent experience with this company from day one. Communication is always clear, timely, and dependable. Our account representative, Gloria, is absolutely top-notch—responsive, professional, and truly attentive to our needs. A special thank you as well to Pam, who recently called to notify us that the driver was 15 minutes away just to ensure we would be serviced without issue. That level of proactive communication is greatly appreciated. Highly recommend this team to anyone looking for reliable service and outstanding customer care.

Republic services has been so difficult to deal with. Theyve made mistake after mistake after mistake within my first two weeks as a new customer. First, they accidentally took my trash and recycling cans with them on my first trash pick up date. Then they destroyed my temporary trash can when picking up my trash the next week. I was supposed to receive my replacement cans for the ones they accidentally took on the same day they destroyed my temporary trash can. The replacements were never delivered. I cannot understand what is so difficult about getting me my trash cans

Recently has become unreliable and changed bulk pick up making it harder for consumers.. used to be able to put out my one large item a week now wonder if I will get trash or recycling service when scheduled. I work during business hours and should not have to “ schedule” a pick up.

Never picked up recycling the week of labor day.so we pay for a service that we never got!! So letter explaining why .should get a credit on our bill.will be talking to a state rep

i am the President of the HOA Walnut Villas in Mechanicsburg, PA. We have had Republic Services for several years. Their prices are competitive and better than others. Our Account Manager is Gloria Lefever and she is exceptional. Any time we have an issue or need to set up a bulk item pick up..she takes care of it and stays on it. I would highly recommend this business.

This company does not reliably pick up trash or recycling. When you call customer service they will lie to you and tell you they're going to pick up your trash today but they will not come. If you can find a different company to do business with. Update (9/17): After several calls my bulk item was finally picked up.

Gloria is Excellent !!! She is our account rep and hasn't been assigned to us for that long. I had no idea we even had an account rep until she made and introduction, which started off by lowering our monthly bill for trash and recycling services. She recently helped us resolve an issue with a missed dumpster pick up in a timely manner. She is very responsive and exudes superior customer service. My commercial experience with Republic has been top notch.The drivers are all careful and very cautious - safety is always #1. Gloria LeFever and her sales manager, Kartrina Corvina are excellent at customer service! They have been pivotal in forming a beautiful cohesive working relationship. Very responsive and receptive.

You are the absolute worst company ever. Missed pick ups, never picking up on time either. We tried scheduling to have an extra pick up and we’re not able to do that even though there is an option to. They said they can do an extra pick up Friday which is our regular trash day, and also it had to be in a bin. WE ONLY HAVE ONE BIN. So stupid and not to mention it was 20 minutes of being on the phone explaining an extra pick up. She literally told us we were asking for a drop off. A drop off of what? Trash?

R&S Fence & Railing Supply has been a customer of Republic Services for many years. Tony Dick, our account manager, is a real gem! She's thorough, prompt and a great communicator. She makes us feel like a valued customer. She's a big reason we stay with Republic Services.

They accidentally missed us last week while we were out of town. As soon as I got home and realized, I called and they sent someone the next day. They sent a text apologizing and verifying the additional pickup. Thank you! Great customer service.

The service left a few bags on the road. I had it nice and neat and it wasn’t taken. Never had this issue with other companies.

Switched from Penn Waste who has many hidden fees etc which will cost you more. Republic Services rep Julie Mooney was very helpful in making the changes and revising the agreement so that it suited both parties. I would recommend Republic Services above all the others local waste service companies - they will save you money in the long run and offer excellent service, with representatives that care.

I am so pleased with our service! We needed our construction dumpster removed at my job site and despite some minor issues on my end, Adam made it happen! He was excellent at communicating with me all day to keep me updated on the situation. We couldn’t be happier with our service! Highly recommend!

I have had the pleasure of working with Republic Services for the past two years at our industrial manufacturing plant in the Harrisburg area. They handle the removal of five full-size roll-off containers per week without fail, ensuring our operations run smoothly. Additionally, we have two spare containers that we use on an on-call basis, and whenever we contact Gloria for a pick-up, the service is always prompt and reliable. Don, our dedicated driver, is a standout. The area he navigates is narrow, yet he always takes the necessary precautions to ensure safety. He communicates effectively, beeping and taking his time when backing up, and consistently works with our schedule to avoid conflicts with our morning installation trucks. The residence of North Middleton Township, those living on Bellaire Park Road especially have had issues with Republic since they took over April 2023. They claim to not go on private roads and have residents line up their trash cans against that exact "private road" causing safety issues on the road with kids getting on the bus, visibility issues, no room for cars to pass through to go to their property or to turn around. Trash companies have been collecting trash for the past 30 years and had always made their way down the road without issues. Imagine having to walk or drive your daily trash quarter a mile up the road. The trash cans tip over, ruining grass, making grass mowing difficult for the neighbor living on the corner and the smell is unbearable. Residents close to the road can't even sit outside and relax from the smell. 46 trash cans lined up the road 24/7 since April. Township meetings have been attended by residents since April - no solution from anyone! Emails, letters, and phone calls have been made – no solution presented! The trash was not picked up as scheduled last week which seems like retaliation more than anything. DO BETTER REPUBLIC! NOTE - we emailed/called and sent pics before I posted the review! They did not care to help or provide a solution. The neighborhood looks like a trash dumb!
