I drive my car there perfectly fine to get a $75 inspection. I was told I couldn’t drive it home and had to pay $375 for a service that the mechanic caused in order to get more money out of me. I will never bring my car here again. My advice avoid this place or get a second opinion on ANYTHING. They will make up something to rip you off.
I never owned a Volvo before and I needed to find a new mechanic that could look over my car and tell me what’s going on. With no recommendations I found Flickinger’s Auto. Even if you don’t own a Volvo, you need to check these guys and gal out! I received a comprehensive diagnosis about my entire car, not just why I brought it in. They checked EVERYTHING!! Unfortunately the news for my car was not good, but that’s not their fault. It was an honest evaluation of my car, backed up by the owner bringing my car back into the shop, putting it on a lift and going over absolutely everything they found. Wow!!! Absolutely nothing to hide and everything they pointed out was accurate. They did an outstanding job of diagnosing my issue I went in for and broke the bad news the best way anyone has ever done. — They won me over and I plan to continue to use Flickinger’s. Honest. Caring. And they only want to do the job right. I didn’t think this existed anymore. Thank you everyone at Flickinger’s!
We have been trusting Flickinger's for a number of years and are thrilled with their services. They are very upfront about out vehicle needs, and will never push anything that is not needed. Their Team is happy to talk through repairs and suggestions, and I feel they are very knowledgeable and know they have our best interest in mind with their suggestions.
Very good and kind people to work with. I brought in my 2014 Honda CR-V LX to get the headlights swapped. Dropped off at 10am on Aug 20th and it was done by 6:45pm the same day. The results speak for themselves, I am extremely happy that I brought my vehicle here and was amazed with the results. They charged me a reasonable price to get them done too since I had brought in my own parts. Will recommend Flickinger's to other people looking for good people who do the job right the first time!
I came here twice and both times were extremely frustrating. During my first visit, I immediately told the girl in the front that I parked where the other stores are and is that ok to do. She said that was fine. During my second visit today, a man from Flickingers tells me that I cannot park over there. At the end of my first visit, I asked the girl how much the payment is. I went to my car to get exact change and when I give her the money, she says that she was struggling to figure out the change. I did not know what the confusion was from since I gave her exact change. She ends up giving me more change back saying that it was not the original price that she told me a few minutes ago, it was higher than that. But she did not tell me that when I originally handed her the payment. I decided to come back hoping that it was just a weird day for them. Today, I walk in and sit in the customer waiting area for 10 minutes without speaking to anyone. I leave to walk to the parts section hoping to find someone and the same girl from the first visit walks back into the parts area claiming that she had just left to greet me and I was gone. She is claiming that for the entire 10 minutes that I was waiting, she just decided to check for me when I tried to go to the parts section. I give her my key and I ask her, do you need anything else from me? She says no but at the end of my visit, my papers are sitting on my passenger seat. I ask the girl why my papers are on my passenger seat. She said that they needed my insurance and registration, but I originally asked her if she needed anything else from me and she said no. This place just decided to go digging through my personal stuff looking for the papers that they need without asking. I asked her how much this visit will be and she says that it is the same price that she told me over the phone a few days prior. I am asking twice because the last time that I came, she gave me two different answers minutes apart. So why would I trust a price given to me days ago? I give her the cash and she looks at it and tells me to have a nice day. Then I had to ask her for my change back. She says, Oh, you need change? I did not count it. She leaves to go get me my change and I take it and just walk out feeling like the frustration is my fault for returning here. Then she yells Have a nice day at me as I am walking out the door with attitude as if she is mad at my reaction towards the nonsense from this place.
Absolutely 10/10 rating! Had my Mazda towed there 3 weeks ago because my car was in limp mode. Needed a new engine unfortunately. Ellis was super transparent on what needed done, gave me a really accurate quote, and was very communicative with keeping updates. HIGHLY recommend Flickinger’s Auto Service!!
Yeah not happy at all, the car only cost 4k but asking 3k for repair to pass the inspection, the part quoted are more what website shows! Took more than a hour to microscope the vehicle and giggling back there by shaking my car! Not only the labor which is $120 per hour but they want to make double on prices as well… I get that they got a business to take care of but to make crazy amount on a beat up car it’s insane. Don’t waste your time on that shop for sure. Stay away from it.
I have trusted my 2000 Volvo to Flickenger's and have never been disappointed with their services and recommendations. They are keeping my car running like new.
I have been going to Flickingers auto service for a number of years. Even prior to Ellis taking over and being the current owner. I can't say enough about how friendly, precise and genuinely they care about you in your vehicle. From your 1st interaction with Brianna, who also is very knowledgeable about vehicles, she is kind, polite and willing to answer your questions, to the guys in the shop, who are also very respectful, to of course last but not least Ellis, the new owner, who will take the time out of his very busy day to sit and talk and explain everything to you. Who does that nowadays? We get so accustomed to mediocre service. It is refreshing to have a shop like this who care, and show it. I have been driving Volvo' s for 24 years and as the saying goes.."Volvo for life" is the truth. If you want a competent auto repair shop and you want people who actually care about you and your vehicle....there is no need to look further...Flickeringers is the place! You won't be disappointed, you can believe that!!

Literally the only place I will take my 2006 XC70 (Elvira) to. Very knowledgeable, great prices for all that my car has needed done since buying it pre-owned (soooo much work). Very honest and great service all around, and not a huge wait on any repairs I've had done. Keeping The Tank on the road longer and longer with each visit, lol! I dropped by, last second and unannounced, with a nail in my sidewall. The owner promptly took a car he was working on off the lift to make room for me and got me on my way. Great experience (minus the nail).
Have been dealing with Flickingers Auto Service since 1996. Always have been treated fairly and courteously with super service in a very reasonable time frame.
Ellis and his crew have continued to provide the same quality service that Greg and his father "Bud" have in the past.

Highly recommend this place for all car repairs and maintenance. They have a great staff and excellent pricing. If your looking for an honest mechanic this is the best place to go.
Avoid this place! Took my gas saver for inspection. Said the car needed a new wiring harness for the headlight, new front brake pads and wipers. Wanted almost $900. I declined and went for a second opinion. The headlight harness was fine, they never plugged the bulb back in. They told me they diagnosed the problem, and never did, wanted $175 for literally nothing! Second shop plugged in to run codes and found the computer just needed reset.
On the the brake pads, they wanted $125, just for the pads, not including labor. I bought heavy duty ceramic pads for $50.
The wipers were fine, they told me they didn’t clear the windshield. Well lo and behold, I obviously had no washer fluid…. Wipers had no tears and were only a year old.
Long story short, stay far away!!! Their $900 only cost me $300. The head mechanic (Ellis) is a joke, kicked me out because he said I ask too many questions.
DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT RIPPED OFF and to pay for things that aren’t even needed!
Super service with very knowledgable staff and mechanics. They are great at finding the best repair possible and at a reasonable price. They always are honest and trustworthy. They even called a dealer for us, who were about to charge us $3000 and it only needed a $300 part and $200 labor to install it. They really know cars and give them the best care available. Totally trust them and would send all my friends there in a heart beat. Thanks for being the best mechanics and shop for our vehicles!
Always polite and very helpful! Have used them for the past few repairs and a tire plug just recently. They are reasonably priced and my repairs were done in a timely manner. Will be only using them for here on out!
Have always been treated well. They don't try to sell you things that you don't need. Great customer service and friendly service. Would highly recommend them if you need car repairs.
These guys have addressed a few mechanical issues on my 2 vehicles. They are courteous and explain the problems and options. Their rates are fair and they get the job done quick.
I feel so grateful to have brought my wife's compact SUV to Flickinger's. When the big-chain-dealer said that they couldn't fix her vehicle, I thought it was distant for the scrap yard. Flickinger's was able to get us all situated for a fraction of what I thought it cost to fix her vehicle. They are incredibly professional, honest, and knowledgeable. Went here because I had an oil leak in my car. The guy there said that there was something wrong with the oil pan valve, and that he had sealed it up with some silicone for now after doing an oil change.
I didn't need the oil change. And he claimed he couldnt do the silicone again due to "liability reasons". He also said that it would cost 900 dollars for a new oil pan.
I went to another mechanic, and the mechanic found a plug that fixed the problem for 12 bucks plus some labor charge.
Oh and I found an oil pan online for about 100 dollars.
These people overcharge and refuse to offer cheaper alternatives.
Excellent service for Volvos, other makes too. Friendly, knowledgeable staff, and clear pricing helps to make auto service less painful. Great little place, I am a repeat customer 8+ years.
I am happy to have done business with Ellis and Greg from Flickinger's. I took my Volkswagen Jetta to them to figure why the check engine light was on. I heard V.W.'s can be very expensive to fix. I was amazed when Ellis said he could fix it and that it would cost less than $200. I left my car there and it was fixed the very same day. Thanks again guys and I look forward to doing business with you in the future as you are now my car mechanics.
