The interaction from the first call to the pick up was a great experience. I would highly recommend All Makes Vacuum before spend hundreds to purchase a replacement. 10/10
No one ever answers the phone. You have to leave messages. I have wasted travel time going there and finding out they don't carry the vacuum brand that I need. Would help if someone picked up a call sometimes.

Extremely Disappointed – Unacceptable Service and Communication
I dropped off my vacuum over 8 weeks ago and the experience since then has been nothing short of frustrating. After two weeks of complete silence, I had to make multiple calls just to speak to someone, only to be told they were waiting on the manufacturer. Fine — I was patient.
But the lack of communication continued. I called again a week later and got voicemail only. Then I found out the store was closed due to illness — again, no notice, no updates, no courtesy call.
At week 6, I was beyond frustrated. Finally, on Thanksgiving Eve, I received a call saying my vacuum was ready. I was out of town for the holiday, but when I went to pick it up on Monday, December 1, the store was closed again — with no notice on the website, no Facebook update, and no mention on the phone system when I pressed 1 for 'Hours and Location.' I had to call back and press 3 for general inquiries just to be told, once again, they were closed due to illness.
This is completely unprofessional. If you're going to close your business repeatedly, the bare minimum is to keep your customers informed. I still don’t have my vacuum, and I’m left wondering if I’ll ever get it back.
I do not recommend this business to anyone who values their time, money, or basic customer service.
Excellent experience. Zach was exceptionally articulate , listened to questions and responded clearly. Vacuum try-outs were valued and options discussed. All very positive.
A Dyson vacuum was purchased several years ago, and I just now collected it, having had the airway cleaned. Zach Kuhn was pleasant and knowledgeable, I learned a bit about vacuums (will not purchase a Dyson again). All in all, a great introduction

I wish I had read the most recent reviews before I brought my vacuum to All Makes Vacuum. I brought it in on Sept. 15th. I will agree that Zach was very friendly and knowledgeable. He was going to do an inspection and install a new cord and quoted $100. He did explain that since the machine was over 20 years old that parts could break, but would notify me if any problems. Should be ready within 2 weeks. Over a month has passed and I haven't heard anything, even though I have called 3 times and left messages, but none of the calls were returned. I don't know if it is fixed, if there was a problem, or what has happened to it. If he was too busy to do the necessary repairs, he should have told me that up front. I have decided since the vacuum is over 20 years old it is not worth the $100 cost I might have to pay to pick it up. I have decided to buy a new vacuum, which I initially would have bought from him, had he at least had the courtesy to return my calls. But that's certainly not going to happen now. I also won't be referring him to any of my friends, but will be telling my friends not to use All Makes Vacuum.
I’ve had a positive experience with All Makes Vacuum in the past when they quickly and efficiently repaired our Kirby vacuum, so I hate coming back now to leave a negative review. This time, when our Kirby needed a different repair, I did not hesitate to bring it to All Makes right away. I dropped it off at the end of the week and was given the expectation that I would receive a call by mid-week the following week that it would be ready for pick up. That call didn’t come. So called them multiple times. No answer, so I left a message. No one called back. The next day I called again multiple times. No answer, so I left a message. The next day, I called again. No answer, so I just went to the store. The same guy I dropped off the vacuum with explained that they’ve been swamped and he’s by himself, but the vacuum should be ready early the following week. I called mid-week the following week and no answer. I didn’t bother leaving a message. I called again at the end of the week. No answer again. So I just went back to the store. Same guy gave the same explanation - swamped and by himself, but that it should be ready next week. He’s had our vacuum for over 2 weeks at this point, and at this point I just decided to take the vacuum back and bring it elsewhere.
I understand getting behind due to a backlog and being short staffed, but WHERE IS THE COMMUNICATION? Where is the professional courtesy of returning the phone call of an active customer? Disappointed because I liked this place. They do good work and are close by.
I gave them my vacuum Cleaner a month ago they are not answering their phone I left voicemails it was a shark this is getting unprofessional I need help I think it was just clogged no one is returning my calls or nothing I don't live by the store so its hard to get there can you guys please answer or say you can't fix wow this is crazy
All makes vacuum in cleveland heights is outstanding. Zach was great very professional and also very knowledgeable answered all my questions 1,000% satisfied with my new sebo felix and with all makes vacuum.
Sales and repair person was very polite and knowledgeable , No pressure at all, took vacuum in for repair and the gentleman told me it just might need a clean out, very truthful and honest

Zach is courteous, kind, patient and thorough although I spent close to $2,000 on new and improved machines, I wasn’t pressured.

We are so lucky to have this store right in our neighborhood! In a time when appliances are discarded so easily, it’s refreshing to have vacuum experts fix my vacuums and keep them running for years. I love seeing all the old Hoovers repaired and ready for pick up when I go into the store. I bought a Miele canister vac 10 years ago and the cordless Miele 8 years ago from All Makes and they continue to hum as if there were new. Five stars every time I go in to get replacement bags, filters or a tuneup!!
So pleased with the assistance Zack provided today. He provided the cost of repairing the Bissell I brought in so I was quickly able to decide getting a new vacuum was the best choice. He was very knowledgeable and gave various opinions for a new vacuum. I am confident with the vacuum I chose.

When I originally called about my Hoover vacuum cleaner that I was having trouble with, the representative spent a lot of time explaining things to me and answering any questions I had. I dropped off my vacuum cleaner and within a few days I was called that there were no parts to fix it. When I went back in, The representative spent a lot of time explaining my options and the features of various machines in my price range. I was able to try several models and then chose the one that was most versatile. My new machine was assembled and I was shown how to use various features. They took care of the warranty and all I have to do if there’s a problem is take it back to that place. They couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful.

These guys are gems--I'm so pleasantly surprised that the neighborhood has sustained a shop like this for so long, but when you meet them and ask questions, you'll get why. They are experts from another era. They repair anything, and they sell *great* vacuums, but they never give you the hard sell or pressure you. They will take anything apart for a free estimate and give you all your options. But if/when you need to buy something, they offer trade-in credits and can give you the full description of whatever you're looking to buy. I can't say enough about them, and I hope the Heights is lucky enough to have them for another 50+ years.
