I've visited multiple of the Principle Auto dealerships over the years, and let me tell you, there has never been a time that I haven't been blown away by their fervor for customer service. Keep it up! Still a happy customer!!!!

I am writing to express my deep concern and disappointment following my experience on Friday while attempting to negotiate the purchase of a new BMW. As a loyal BMW customer for over a decade, I have always associated the brand with excellence -- until now. My recent experience has left me questioning that association. The process began with my interest in purchasing a BMW X3. After discussing a $2,000 down payment and trade in, my salesperson -- who was courteous and professional -- returned with a proposed monthly payment that was shockingly high, comparable to the cost of renting a small apartment. I immediately made it clear that this offer was entirely unacceptable. When asked what would be more appropriate, I explained that the payment needed to be nowhere near the figure presented. To my surprise, the salesperson then returned with an offer nearly half the original amount -- revealing that the initial proposal had not been made in good faith. Even after this adjustment, the revised payment remained unreasonably high. For context, in 2024, I had explored purchasing the same model and the monthly payments at that time were far more reasonable and transparent. In response, I pivoted my interest to a smaller X1 model, only to be offered a payment nearly identical to that of the larger X3 -- differing by only a few dollars. This felt manipulative and highly unprofessional. To compound the experience, the trade-in offer for my current vehicle was insultingly low -- far below fair market value. As a woman and a long-time BMW customer, I left the dealership feeling disrespected, demeaned, and utterly disappointed. I am not someone who can be taken advantage of, nor will I tolerate behavior that borders on predatory business practices. I requested my keys back and left. This experience was not just distasteful; it was entirely beneath the reputation that BMW claims to uphold. Up until now, I had consistently given BMW glowing reviews, especially prior to 2020. Sadly, my experience on Friday has seriously eroded my trust in the brand. I urge BMW to reflect on how loyal customers are being treated at the dealership level -- and the long-term damage experiences like mine can cause. Such practice has only reinforced my decision to buy American. Foreign brands, once known for excellence, are now in steep decline -- prioritizing greed over respect -- and blatantly taking advantage of American consumers.

I had the pleasure of working with Dan Watkins for an event hosted by Principle Auto at our venue. Dan and his team were fantastic—professional, friendly, and a joy to collaborate with. I would love the opportunity to work with them again in the future!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had an outstanding experience at Principle Auto Toyota in Memphis! From start to finish, the process was smooth, stress-free, and truly enjoyable. A huge shoutout to Kelly Fast, my sales associate, who went above and beyond to ensure I found the perfect vehicle. Kelly was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely cared about making sure I got exactly what I wanted. She took the time to answer all my questions, walked me through the entire process, and made sure I felt comfortable every step of the way. Her professionalism and friendly attitude made this the best car-buying experience I’ve ever had. If you’re in the market for a Toyota, I highly recommend visiting Principle Auto Toyota and asking for Kelly Fast. You won’t be disappointed!

I can’t say enough great things about my experience with Andy Fong at Principle Toyota! From the moment I walked in, he made me feel welcome and took the time to understand exactly what I was looking for in my dream car. Andy was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and never once made me feel pressured. He answered all my questions, walked me through every option, and made sure I found the perfect vehicle that checked all my boxes. The entire process was smooth, transparent, and enjoyable—something you don’t always expect when car shopping! Thanks to Andy, I drove off the lot in a car I absolutely love. If you’re looking for a top-notch, trustworthy salesperson who truly cares about your needs, I highly recommend him! You won’t be disappointed.

I had an incredible experience with Jade! She took the time to understand what I was needing, and explained everything thoroughly. This was the first time I bought a car alone as a female, and I cannot say enough good things about this group and Jade!

I have purchased multiple cars from Principle Auto, and have done all of my services with them on those cars. I have never had a bad experience in my dealings with Principle. I cannot recommend their teams highly enough!

If we could give no STARS it would be a benefit. Not only do they lie and but openly commit fraud. If you have not seen anyone who has purchased a car from there they add a 1% "Sales Fee" they are making us pay for the sales associates pay. Check I assure you they are there. We were also lied to and had to call Hyundai Motor Finance on a lease they added 3k on top of the lease price. We have called and nothing back. Bunch of crooks and have no backbone. DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE if you buy a car make sure you double check the paperwork and also if yo have bought one check your paperwork you have been paying their sales staff for 3 years ! Lawyer up

The Service Department at Principle VW is unethical and out of control. I made an appointment and took my car in for an oil change, an emissions test, repair a tire and replace the rear shocks. I arrived, Nick greeted me, went through this list with me, told me the shocks were already on order, and notified me that there is a $200 diagnosis fee but it would be waived if I completed $200 of service work. I agreed, signed his tablet, and departed. A day later I received quote for $5000.00+. The largest single item was $3,023 to replace the shocks. I called a nationwide repair shop and asked them to quote the same list. Their repair price was $1,000! The parts cost for front and rear shocks and struts is $165.99! ISSUE #1 - Uncompetitive prices that are 300%+ higher than they should be. I would pay a modest premium for a dealership to do the work. So I planned to apply the $200 "diagnosis fee" fee towards changing radiator fluid, for which they charge $249. I called and approved this item and was told by Nick the $200 "diagnosis" fee is only waived if I perform the shock replacement. I reminded him he said it would apply to "repairs" and was not specific to the shocks. Nick said he would check with his manager, Jason Jason called me, explained that Nick had confused me with another customer when I dropped the car off and that the $200 fee can only be waived by doing the work on the shocks. ISSUE #2 - I am responsible for Nick's confusion regarding which customer he was talking to. I thought this was not logical nor ethical, so I would escalate to the dealership GM. ISSUE #3 - There is no general manager at this dealership! Nobody knows who they report to! Even their corporate offices in San Antonio (Carson and Catherine... and they both consulted with their own management) had no idea who was in charge of this dealership. The GM had quit the prior week and no replacement was announced. They are adrift. The service department has no oversight. Jason can behave as poorly as he wishes without any repercussions. I tried to speak to the sales manager, Shane, and he abruptly said he has nothing to do with service. No "customer service" in his tone...he acted angry. Surely he knows there is no general manager and what a great time for him to step up and act like a person concerned about customer service and the dealership's reputation! I will not be buying a new VW from him any time soon! Jason reiterated he is the final word...end of discussion! When I tried to discuss this when I picked up the vehicle, Nick and Jason reiterated the same story. They confused me with another customer and that was in some way my fault. When I tried to ask how I can be held accountable for such an error, Jason said I was raising my voice (I was not!) and that he was done debating (he had not provided any explanation other than Nick's confusion). He raised his voice and demanded I leave the premises. To add insult to injury, The first day I was aware the car was ready for pick up was Friday. I received no other prior notice from the dealership. I picked it up Saturday morning and Jason added a $35 overnight parking fee on the invoice. Insulting, vindictive and totally ridiculous. Out of control!!! There is even more, such as them initially not returning my calls for 3+ hours, then blaming their admin for sending them messages on post-it notes, which they ignore. They explained to me she should have been sending them emails! That is their excuse for not ever calling me back!!! This dealership is a case of the inmates running the asylum. I suggest you stay as far away as possible. Unethical behavior. Price gouging. No management in charge. Poor operating practices. If the person actually in charge wishes to have a 3-way discussion, I would be happy to do so. The poor, unethical behavior was the conduct of the Service Dept., not me. This will be exposed after just 30 seconds of them trying to explain themselves to a rational 3rd party. You have been warned!

Hats off to MINI of San Antonio for supporting the after the sale culture MINI (particularly the last event at the Beach). Providing and promoting events is important for owners to gather together and celebrate their mutual love of the brand and to promote the brand and culture to new or potential owners. I hope to see you continue to promote the MINI culture of "all-together" and motoring madness!!! Thanks again!

Principle dealers do not operate with integrity. Not sure the odds of this, but both my parents, and myself and my husband ended up with a lemon sold from two different principle dealers at different times. These vehicles should have been taken to auction but Instead were sold on the lot for consumers to buy without knowing what they were getting into. My parents had to replace both a motor and transmission within a month of their purchase. We’ve had our truck for about a year now, but you wouldn’t know it as it’s been in the shop for probably 80% of the time we’ve owned it. I would not trust Principle, or buy from Principle. Buyer Beware.

Such a great experience taking my Cadillac for service at BMW of San Antonio. The entire team is focused on assisting every customer no matter the make or model. Repairs were completed in a timely manner at a fair price.

UPDATE: I made several calls to Theresa, and left messages to speak about the issue, but received no response from her. The outcome was I spent $1500 for new tires and wheels within two weeks of purchase. The car now rides great. We purchased a 2019 Mini Cooper Clubman on August 12, 2023. It had run flat tires and were told they are noisier than regular tires. However, due to a vibration, we took Mini to a tire store to have the tires checked. All four wheels were bent and it had mismatched tires. We felt like they should have been aware.

I’m leasing a high-end vehicle from BMW San Antonio and my tire was extremely low and the weather was not great yesterday (rainy) so I was able to get to a discount tire before a flat. The tire was unrepairable and I was coming up on the time anyway to replace all the tires. I was surprised to learn that BMW San Antonio would make no effort to provide a loaner vehicle (1 or 2 days maybe) unless I had the flat and towed the vehicle to their location. I’ve purchased vehicles from Mercedes and Range Rover and this was never an issue when needing a vehicle. This may be a newer issue for dealerships yet I want to flag for customers to be aware because the costs for the short term loaner vehicle and these luxury vehicles merit better service from BMW San Antonio in my opinion. This is a missed opportunity for their team and I’m afraid will be a long term impact to our business along with others who learn of this short term view on customer relations.

We wanted to express our sincere appreciation and gratitude to Ramone W and the entire Principle BMW team. We went in to talk about the electric BMW promotion and we walked out with the most beautiful car. The process was so professional and effortless. Thank you so much Ramone and all the finance team to get us into our forth BMW and our first electric car. James and Norma D.

Need to make the text or email check in compatible with physically checking in so that this is not redundant. I appreciated service advisor Cody Kyle’s exceptional customer service. He was very thorough communicating my vehicles needs & verifying what service I wanted completed. Also, the video report by the mechanic I received via phone was an outstanding summary of what was inspected & is a nice touch to your service here at Volvo.

I took my S90 here for an oil change which was reasonably priced at 130 and also got my 40,000 mile maintenance. The staff was nice and informative. They sent me a video of all the inspection being done on my vehicle. I recommend calling and getting an appointment ahead of time so you can secure a loaner vehicle. I sat there for a pretty good while on my phone. Thanks I’ll see you all again in 10,000 miles

Outstanding Volvo team! Service Manager Daniel is a true professional and a pleasure to work with. I always know my vehicle is in great hands at Principle Auto. And a big shout out to Sean and the service welcome staff. They always welcome me with a big smile and return my car spotless.

My wife and myself came from out of town to see Billy. He pulled both of the cars we wanted to look at and had them ready for when we arrived. Billy made the process easy and walked us through our options. We worked with Jeremy in finance and he was very transparent with all the options we had. Overall excellent experience, would recommend to anyone looking to buy a vehicle. Will definitely do business with Priinciple Auto in the future.

Typically I would give them a five star rating as in the past I have had had exceptional service. This time however, was a different experience. I made an appointment a week and a half in advance, so that I could have a loaner car while my car was being repaired and in detail described the reason my car would need to be serviced. I waited for my scheduled appointment, showed up a few minutes early to be met with a service man who argued and said that a loaner was unavailable. I asked why Volvo had not bothered to call me as I waited a week and a half with a scheduled appointment. They said I’d have to wait as they repaired the car. They told me it was repaired. They correctly fixed two of the three issues. At that point, I requested speaking to the manager. Afterwards, a loaner became available. The price of repair was different from what the first repairman first told me. While I was disappointed in this experience, in most cases I have had dependable and favorable experiences.

Billy went above an beyond. I have never had such a great experience when purchasing a vehicle. I expressed how my wife hates dealerships and he did everything to keep the process smooth and easy for us. He was honest and straight to the point. Did not try to tell me what vehicle I should buy. Instead he listened and showed me was available with the options I mentioned were a must. We are extremely happy with the service we received and will keep y’all in mind for future purchases.

Solid experience. As is well known right now, it’s more difficult to have new cars come down in price. Principle did a good job of satisfying my principled approach of never paying sticker while balancing their own profit margins. Billy was great to work with and knows his products very well. Given I was 2 1/2 hrs away, the home delivery service is second to none. Billy literally drove our new car almost 2hrs so we didn’t have to drive all the way there. Great service and great car!

As always I was treated as a valued customer regardless of the age of my vehicle. The discussion was very detailed. Kevin (the service rep) was very polite. It was a packed day for them, but I chose to wait because the atmosphere was very warm and inviting. I come from Austin to service my vehicle and will continue to do so. Didn’t get this safe and honest (facts) or feeling from the other dealership in Austin, thus Principle Volvo will remain at the top of my list. Thank you.

I have purchased two cars from this dealership in the last year. I have always had a wonderful experience. I got both cars below KBB value and felt as though the sales manager and finance manager genuinely care about their customers. In both cases we had shopped around at other dealerships only to find that the customer service and overall buying experience was lacking at those lots. I have recommended Principle Volvo anyone looking to purchase a vehicle. I have never had a better experience. I left each time feeling good about the purchases I made because I knew I received quality vehicles at the best possible prices.

Went to buy a used car from the Volvo dealership and was promised to fix the seat. 2weeks of running around and no seat fixed. Didn't want to pay for the parts. Then offered me a $150 to take down all negative reviews of their company. And that I would need to recommend them to others. Lack of communication and non honest. Wouldn't recommend. If I could give them minus stars I would.

Great experience overall. I got set up with Billy via a 3rd party used car site that linked me to a minivan I was interested in, and Billy contacted me promptly and courteously - the dealer site didn't have photos of the car up yet, so he took the time to photograph the car inside and out and send me the photos directly. When we arrived to look at the car in person, it was ready and clean; I was especially impressed by the fact that despite being a Volvo salesman, Billy had gone above and beyond and clearly done his research on the used Honda he was selling. During the negotiations he was upfront and honest, and despite a small set back when we discussed trade-in value, I was done in a fairly quick amount of time. Marissa in finance was also very knowledgeable and professional. Second used car I've bought here, and would happily come back again.
