These folks have no integrity. They did my neighbor wrong had a bad compression on an engine never given an RmA never return the calls do not trusts car part hq.

⚠️ BUYER BEWARE – DO NOT TRUST CAR PART HEADQUARTERS LLC ⚠️ Our experience with Car Part Headquarters LLC has been an absolute nightmare and a very expensive lesson. We paid $1,300 for an engine that turned out to be completely defective. The engine had bad compression in one of the cylinders, was rusty, worn out, and clearly not in the condition we were led to believe. When we contacted the company about the issue, they immediately began giving us the runaround. Calls went unanswered. Messages were ignored. Instead of resolving the problem professionally, they refused to provide an RMA number simply because we contacted our credit card company to protect ourselves. That alone should tell you everything you need to know about how they handle legitimate customer complaints. To make matters worse, they are still listing and using the address 1811 S Laredo St, TX 78207, even though we later discovered they moved from that location over a year and a half ago. We returned the engine, only to find out the address was no longer valid. Now we have a defective engine sitting in Texas with no legitimate business location to return it to. They sent us photos of the vehicle the engine supposedly came from, but this felt like a staged attempt to appear legitimate. The engine itself told a different story — it was clearly pulled from a junkyard and not properly inspected. This company does not appear to have an actual warehouse; instead, they ship engines from junkyards across the country while presenting themselves as something much more professional. They even told our mechanic to perform a compression test and promised they would cover the cost. They never paid. We were forced to pay our mechanic and the return shipping ourselves. At this point, we are out over $2,000 with nothing to show for it except stress, wasted time, and a broken engine. This company misleads customers, avoids accountability, and refuses to stand behind the products they sell. Please think twice before doing business with them. Learn from our mistake so you don’t lose your hard-earned money the way we did. God will certainly Judge them for there swindling scamming thieving ways.

Bought a rear axle for my Ram. Everything was included — brakes, lines, all of it. Mechanic said it was a clean swap. Took it up to 85 and it’s whisper quiet now.

Had them ship a 3.6L to my shop in Kansas. It showed up in under a week, compression tested strong, and the install was painless. Customer’s happy and so am I.

Had a transmission shipped to my shop for a Tahoe. Arrived early, no broken sensors, and plugged right in. Truck drives great now.

Honestly better than I expected for a used engine. Was nervous ordering online but it paid off. Shipped fast and everything hooked up fine.

I run a small fleet and needed a 5.3L for one of our trucks. They had one ready, shipped it to our shop in San Antonio, and it showed up banded tight. We bolted it in and had the truck back in service next day.

We purchased a remanufactured engine from this company for $5000.00. We were told there would be a one week delay due to sensing the engine to be remanufactured so we wouldn't receive it until the end of week 2. No engine received at the end of week 2 so we called, Kathy stated it had been shipped back to them so she would have it shipped out to be received at the end of week 3. No engine received, they shipped it to North Carolina instead of Southern California. Then there was 1 additional delay. At the end of week 4 it was finally received, however it was not a remanufactored engine it was a junkyard engine. We called immediately and was told this engine was remanufactured 7300 miles ago and removed from a vehicle. Kathy stated the engine was remanufactured 10,000 miles ago, installed in a vehicle then removed and sold to us. The engine that we received was a high mile used motor with a blown headgadket. We had to pay an additional $4,000 to have it remanufactured. The engine builder stated this engine had never been rebuilt, had all original gaskets and smooth carbon filled cylinders. Buyers beware of this company, had I seen the complaints on the BBB site I would have never bought anything from this company. All they do is try and gaslight you into believing you got exactly what you paid for.

Do yourself a favor stay as far away from this place as you can they're crooks. First they sent the wrong motor then they sent a bad motor. They said I was entitled to a refund but refused to answer the phone or respond to any emails from me or my mechanic. Do yourself a favor stay as far away from this place as you can.

Engine installations are a regular occurrence at my tiny shop. For a Maxima, I ordered a 3.5. arrived sooner than anticipated, the compression was reliable, and no sensor swapping was required. Not a single issue. I will definitely use these people once more.

They got me a 5.7L Hemi and it was CLEAN. Not just “clean for a used engine,” I mean actually clean. Like someone pressure washed it and shrink-wrapped it. My mechanic called and said “bro where’d you find this?” It’s running strong.

I ordered a 3.6L for my wife’s Acadia. Everything went fine. The install wasn’t bad and it drives normal now. Price was fair. No complaints.

Less than 1 star. I purchased an engine and it failed in about 5 months/5,000 miles. It was diagnosed and all of the information was provided within the time frame for warranty/replacement. I provided diagnosis from the mechanic that detected severe internal failure of this engine. Then, I was told that "it looks like your claim is approved" and I should talk to the warranty rep. He was never there and ignored my calls and emails. Further, I continued to call with no answers and a supervisor refused to call me back. After 25 calls and over 10 unanswered emails, a complaint was filed with the BBB. Mysteriously, this business reported that they had denied my claim. They have taken the stance to simply ignore me and my calls because no one wants to answer. Do not do business with this company.

You guys rock! I was sitting in my car just browsing around the internet looking for an AC compressor for a 2013 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid and honestly I didn't have real high hopes. The part was discontinued and after-market seemed would be my (expensive) solution. I was bouncing between a few different browser windows and did the usual "calling around" which is a drag, and time consuming. All of a sudden I get a call from Car Part HQ on my caller ID, "Hello, it's Ryan, still looking for that part?" And boom, just like that he says, well here's 4 of those, and the locations, there you go. He sent them to me within minutes, and within the next 15 minutes I was at the shop picking up the exact part I needed. Honestly, blown away by how quick and helpful you guys were in that. I can't say I've had a better service experience in all my years of searching for parts and thinking it was in vain. You guys really came through. Thanks a million!

The engine came shrink-wrapped solid on a pallet with all ports covered. My mechanic said whoever pulled it actually cared. I’ve put 1,200 miles on it since installation and haven’t had to touch it. Wouldn’t hesitate to use Car Part Headquarters again.

‎I bought an engine for my son’s Altima. Ryan got it shipped to our local shop in San Diego in about a week. My technician said it had good compression and no broken sensors. It fired right up. We are happy with the whole deal.

Mike got me a transmission for my 2011 F-150. He made it easy. Delivery was quick and the shop didn’t run into any issues. It’s shifting smoothly now. Worth every penny. ‎

I was a little nervous buying an engine online, but Mike walked me through everything. The transmission for my Ram 1500 showed up in good shape, well-packaged. The shop installed it and said all connections lined up perfectly. Been a month, and there's been no slipping, no weird shifts. Solid purchase.

Shipped to my house in San Diego in 7 days. I dropped it off with my mechanic, and he had no complaints during the install. Would use Car Part HQ again if I ever need another engine.

Bought a 3.6L V6 for my 2014 Dodge. Ryan made sure it shipped to my mechanic and arrived on time. They got it installed within two days of delivery, and I was back on the road by the end of the week. I’ve had it for three months now—still running like new. The one-year warranty is a nice safety net, but no problems so far. ‎

Got a replacement engine for my daughter’s Camry. Had it shipped straight to her mechanic’s shop in Austin. Arrived on time, no damage, all mounting points matched. The shop was impressed enough they asked where I got it. Running great so far. No regrets.

I installed the transmission myself in my garage. It came in a legit steel cage, which was cool. Took a week to arrive. Bolted right up to my ’06 F150, and it shifted fine on the first test drive. Emailed Ryan with a quick question, and he actually got back same day. The warranty’s nice but hoping I won’t need it.

Wow. I have never received such ,kind and personable service from any business. Tony not only helped me . He went far out of his way researching my part to find exactly what I needed. I had called 30 other salvage yards. Getting the same help. And Tony was patient , kind , and brilliant . Going the extra mile to help. I found my part. And could not of done so without his aid. I would recommend this business anytime . The costumer service is one in a thousand. Five star for sure

I ordered a complete 2.4 Kia motor for 2,800 and they sent me just a block and head that had dirt all in it. I been calling for a month and a half trying to get it corrected but nothing they even blocked my phone number. Here's pictures of what I got from this company far from a complete motor and sure not good business from them

Ryan sent me an engine that was in such bad condition that my technician refused to install it. I followed up with them and was assured that I would be sent a replacement engine. I never received the engine and they don't respond to my calls or emails. I contacted the Attorney General's office for the State of Texas and was told that I had to sue them in court. I'm already out of $6,500.00 and I want my money back. This is the worst company in the world! Please DO NOT do business with these crooks. I'm surprised they haven't been shut down by the government. Again, PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH THIS JOKE OF A SO-CALLED COMPANY!!!! I reluctantly gave them 1 star, but they don't deserve that!

Incomplete order. Seems as they have no interest in fulfilling my order,only with my $$$. I've called and email and get 0 response from this company, even after their reply after this review. These people were so worried about their $$$ they demanded bank transfer. I had no issue with that, I just wish they were half as worried about correcting the problem. Phone calls and emails go unanswered or "we'll get right back to you" with no further contact.
