This rating is based on customer reviews, inventory size, pricing, and service quality
In San Antonio, TX, reviews of Benchmark Towing Systems - Heavy Duty Towing are sharply mixed: 52/100. Positives cite friendly, professional staff, a clean yard, good prices, quick shipping, and parts that fit. Yet complaints are frequent: defective engines/transmissions, missing or damaged parts, denied warranties or refunds, rude interactions, and long waits or missed pull/delivery times; some note restricted part inspection and extra charges. Yard organization and inventory breadth are unclear. Overall, good deals for a few but serious quality and after-sale issues for many.

What clients say about Benchmark Towing Systems - Heavy Duty Towing in San Antonio (TX)
We booked a rotator/crane to offload a modular building from a stepdeck trailer. The operator knocked the unit into the side of the stepdeck while offloading, leading to $3,000+ in repairs to the custom building. I was told by Oscar in dispatch that I would get a call or email back from the supervisor, Jeff, after the operator was interviewed on the incident. Never heard back.
Sent 2 more email follow ups with photos and asked if we could file a claim- never got a response. I ended up having to eat the cost. While I understand things happen in our industry, it would have been nice to hear back from them with some sort of resolution.
These folks came and got it done! We needed a container taken off our truck! They set up picked up the container and I was gone to the next load!
We did not request a truck with a rotator. The receiver may have needed it for proper positioning.
Thanks for getting your guy here ASAP it made a big difference for everyone involved.
We all love saving money, and this place truly delivers! I called six different Heavy Duty Towing companies, and Benchmark gave me the BEST flat price for towing—no surprises at the end like “it depends” or vague conditions. Everything was clear and straightforward from the start.
The staff here are incredibly friendly—Jeff and Oscar made the process smooth and treated me like a friend. Highly recommend this company for their honesty, fair pricing, and excellent service!
By the way my truck and trailer was 130 miles away from San Antonio,TX
The customer service as well as the towing was extremely professional the entire time. Benchmark made the whole process very easy and affordable. I’ll definitely be sticking with this company for any towing I need done in the future.
I am so grateful that i came across Benchmark towing !! The prices were great and the experience was AMAZING !!! I would definitely recommend Benchmark Towing !
Jeff and Oscar were so helpful when my daughters keys were stolen and she was locked out of her car. They made sure that her car was towed correctly, they reassured her everything would be fine with her vehicle while in their care. Everything they said they were going to do, “they did”!!!!! As a mother I am so grateful to them for taking such good care of my daughter in her time of need. I recommend Jeff and Oscar with Benchmark Towing!!!! I give them 10 stars ⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (They truly deserve more)
UNBELIEVABLE experience tonight with Jeff and Oscar! They are amazingly professional and reassured me the entire time my car was being loaded and transported to my apartment. My keys were stolen so I was a nervous wreck and they did everything they could to make what was a horrible night for me much more bearable. I won’t call a different person if I ever need tow services in the future.
Thank you so much for helping me with my son's car. It was wonderful to deal with a business that was honest, respectful (especially with a woman). Thank you!
