I bought a motor for my 2004 F 150 5.4L back in December, paid my Mechanic to install it, the motor was knocking!! Took the Truck back to Giants, they were going to see if they could fix the problem, they said it would cost took much to fix, they said they would find me another motor……now it’s February and they have still not found me a replacement motor….. I’ve asked them to refund my money so I can look for another motor myself……I have been patiently waiting on them but I’m starting to lose patience with them……. Hopefully they make things right.
I purchased a transmission from Giant Imports on October 10, 2025, and paid in full. I was told at the time of purchase that the transmission came with a 90-day warranty.
I picked up the transmission and had it installed within 30 days. When I had it programmed by a TCM specialist, I was informed the transmission had very high usage hours, even though Mike told me it was a low-mileage transmission. I accepted that and moved forward, but once I attempted to drive the vehicle, the transmission slipped immediately on takeoff.
I contacted Mike and was told to bring it back and they would get me another transmission ASAP. That was over 8 weeks ago, and I still have not received a replacement. Every time I call, I get the runaround—either they’re short staffed, the transmission is on the way, or they couldn’t get to it because of the holidays.
When I asked about a refund, I was told there are absolutely no refunds, and when I asked to speak to a manager or owner, I was told Mike is the only person in charge.
They should not advertise a warranty if they are unable to provide a suitable replacement within a reasonable timeframe. I recommend doing business elsewhere. If they provide a working transmission or resolve this fairly, I will consider updating my rating.
I have pulled 4 motors from Wrench-a-part, each and every one of them fired right up and ran strong. At $460. To avoid heat stroke and the fact I really didn't want to pull another one I went to giant after shopping around. Now the motors are all Nissan 5.6L the one I got from giant @ a $1000 was installed cranked at it didn't sound right. So I did a compression test. And found the cylinders 1,3,5, and 7 all had less then 50 lbs. Needless to say I pissed. They said they tested it. That's bull. So I call them. Tell them I want my core and money back. You guessed it that is not going to happen. So right now after 3 hot days I installing this POS. I now have to take it out take it back down there and swap for another motor, that is when they find one. So 2 stars for now ( customer service was good ) will update when I'm rolling down the road. But I Will stick with Wrench-a-part for now on. At least I know what I'm getting there. And Kyle always does me right from day one.
So I got the second motor put it in it didn't last very long either my first oil change I noticed some silver haze in the oil didn't take much of it until the rod bearing started kicking and then finally spun out I almost shoved rod to the side of the motor I will never do business with Ryan again nor do I recommend them. I'm taking it down to one star.
Called About an Engine that’s all the neighboring business have for 600$ , He wanted 600 bucks , but 2 of the Engine parts were broken . I asked him for a discount & he said “go buy there motors” . If that’s their attitude , it speak a lot about them .
Mike was very helpful and gave me a great price on a TCM for my daughter's Ford Focus would definitely recommend doing business with them as for Mike when you go
I'll wait till tomorrow for review noticed that engine was strapped (hooked) improperly and it broke off timming chain cover. So I will call them tomorrow morning to see how we can solve this, hope this works out.
Giant Imports was awesome to work with. They set me up with a solid NAG1 722.6 transmission with 88k, for my 2013 Dodge Charger Pursuit. What I really appreciated was being able to pick it up directly — way better than dealing with shipping. Pricing was fair, service was professional, and the transmission has been great so far.
Definitely recommend them if you need quality parts and good people to deal with.
Called multiple shops and ultimately got referred to this one. I was able to find an intact engine cable harness for my 2001 Toyota Camry. Would absolutely come to this shop for parts again!

Tony the owner/mechanic has been holding my vehicle since June 5th when I bought a motor from him, he then promise to replace my old with you that I bought from him for $1,000 now he's holding my vehicle captive for $1789.00 to be precise. When the replacement of my motor was only supposed to be 1,000. So if you go by there and you see my Lincoln it's a SUV MKX it's black with a Houston emblem on the back it's in the back go check it out it's still there he won't take my $1,000 nor will he give me my vehicle back. And make sure Tony gives you paperwork cuz he gave me none promising that my car would be returned to me in 3 days with paperwork I got nothing not even the vehicle. Be conscious not to leave without paperwork
Everyone that help me today from Tony on the phone when i called to ask about the wheel i needed, to the guy i went with to the yard in the back to get the Nissan pathfinder wheel was absolutely great customer service! I will definitely go back to this place if i need another part thanks everyone!

Dealt with Mike regarding a part for my Toyota. Before we even made the sale I already knew I was buying from them. His kindness, cordiality, compassion, and consciousness reigned over so many other auto recyclers and salvage yards. His tone spoke light years above others. He went above and beyond to not only get me the best rate he could and ensure the part was in working order by getting his hands on it but also tracked down the UPS driver to make sure it could go out for delivery that same day. Superb service.

The whole side of my truck was demolished while in the care of their shop I sent one of my employees to receive my truck when they brought it back the whole side was torn off they shop will not honor it and place the blame somewhere else on a different shop that they say they had work on my vehicle I’m getting an attorney involved they charged me double the original quote to fix my transmission and my truck will not even engage four-wheel-drive I would not recommend this place you will get ripped off
Martha at front counter was very helpful and knowledgeable about parts, great price for complete door compared to other salvage yards in SA will shop here again.
