This rating is based on customer reviews, inventory size, pricing, and service quality
Rick Schaefer's Towing - Auto Towing Assistance in Cincinnati, OH scores 86/100. Reviews are largely positive: many cite quick arrivals (often 15–60 minutes), professional, courteous drivers, and pricing that’s fair and often better than competing quotes. Strengths include safe handling and polite service. Complaints appear in a minority: a few reports of very long waits, missed ETAs, and one pricey tow—so experiences can be inconsistent. Overall pricing trends reasonable. Inventory variety, yard organization, and parts-finding aren’t covered (towing-focused). Tip: confirm ETA to avoid delay/communication issues.
Roadside assistance from Rick Schaefer’s was supposed to arrive in 60 minutes. After 140 minutes, they have not arrived, nor called to say when they would arrive, this is despite having messages left for them by me and the roadside assistance company.
The roadside assistance dispatch company has been excellent. They have sent a second company my way, as they have been completely unable to make contact with Rick Schaefer’s. Rick Schaefer’s, however, disappoints.
Great service. Driver was there quickly, and was very friendly. He got me and my car home safely in a timely manner. Very thankful in 11 degree weather.
Had to get my car towed for the first time
and was disappointed by all the quotes I was receiving for needing to go 1.5 miles away. Finally called Rick who gave me the best quote ($10 less than everyone else) and said someone would be there in an hour. I got a call about 10 minutes later saying someone was on his way and exactly one hour from when I called my car was on the truck. Excellent service I would definitely recommend. I would also advise you pay cash as that will save you a little time and money. 10/10.
I called and asked for a tow. They said it would be 45 mins. A hour later I got a call and they said it would be 45 mins again. After a hour they called me back and said they couldn't give me tow today at all.
When I came into contact with this company it was my first time ever having to have my car towed and I was so unsure of how the process would go. But the driver was great, he was friendly and made conversation on the ride to my dealership. He was prompt and arrived within the estimated time frame. I've heard of people waiting 3 or more hours just for a tow truck to arrive and he was there in an hour. Hopefully I won't need these services again but if I do I'd definitely use them again!
I chose this company because it had good Google reviews compared to its peers. They lived up to their rating and then some.
Over the course of the 20 years I have been driving I have had about 8 tows for various reasons with varying degrees of results based on price, timeliness, quality of service etc...
These guys are the BEST. I scheduled a 1:30 pick up and the guy was right on time. He was very courteous, reasonably priced, and actually cared about having my business. These traits are not easily found in this line of business.
Rick Schaefer's Towing had a man there in 30 minutes they were Professional, Pleasant and Knowledgeable. Not what I expected, nor experienced in a tow company, and their price just happened to sweetened the deal. I highly recommend to all my family and friends.
I chose Rick Schaefers Towing based on the on-line reviews and I am glad I did. They were quick, pleasant to deal with, and the price was more than fair. To be honest I will call nobody else for my towing needs.
