Shane was very knowledgeable, professional and helpful in explaining the process. He took care of off loading of some heavy televisions, monitors, and old audio equipment. He did a great job!
My recent visit to Cohen was stellar! Shyeem and Ty were excellent! They were professional, yet personable and made the start of my day a happy one. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because when I called, I received information that was supposed to increase my payout, but ultimately cost me. But she was very polite answering all my questions!! I'll be back.
They charge you money to recycle everything. On their website, in the very long list of things they accept, this important detail is buried at the very bottom of an enormous unnecessary page of text. Then paying is an long difficult process, you have to do it with an entirely different person in different area of the building. Huge waste of time and shady that they are intentionally deceptive like that.
This location has no interest in copper wire, motors, transformers, cast aluminum, or small metal appliances. Very rude employee shook his head and said, "You'd have to pay us to take this stuff." I had nothing but great experiences at the now closed Kellogg location, but this place is a joke. Photo included of the things they won't take.
The recycling location I used to use closed down so I gave Cohen a try. I was very pleased with the entire experience and wish I would have come here sooner. The prices for materials are the best around and the people are a pleasure to deal with. I dealt with Ryan quite a bit and he was always eager to help me unload and was very knowledgeable about all the aspects of his job. He, along with the very nice young lady at the cashier position, always greeted me with a smile and were incredibly helpful.
I love Cohen Recycling, I have been going there for about 2 years,and everytime I go,the employees are nice and helpful. I never have any problems there.
I brought 2identical things in here on two different days. One day the item was worth 100$, a week later it was $22. I called and they claimed it’s out of their control. I say they aren’t being honest.
Very clean and people were very nice an friendly they gave me a price I wasn't expecting wow and when I went to Harrison recycling they lied to my face said it wasn't worth 3$ well news flash I got 168.00 .
People need to always get to quotes.
Easy place to bring old computers and other electronic waste for recycling. They even pay a little for certain electronics such as desktop and laptop computers. Some things like monitors they'll only take for a fee though, so check ahead.
The employees there are always very helpful and patient. Currently helping friends clean out a house and the amount of metal for recycle is astounding. Two small trailer loads with lots of aluminum, brass, and copper. So glad Cohen is there so none of this goes to the dumpster.
Experience was OK, but be aware that the website is misleading. The extensive list of electronics recyclables in the website omits a major fact: only computer desktops and laptops are accepted for free. EVERYTHING ELSE REQUIRES CASH PAYMENT TO RECYCLE. FYI, Staples will accept many items without charge.
They should post their rates outside so that way we know how much time we are wasting for what is pennies on the dollar right now. Last year this time my load would have been 400x the amount it was today. Wouldn't have waited a half an hour to find that out.
I had a trunk load of older electronics and miscellaneous scrap metal that I've been collecting thru the years. Chris, the employee, who helped me was very friendly and informative when I asked about prices. He also talked about why certain things were worth more due to the type of metal or plastic on the item. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes and got cash on the spot. I would highly recommend them to others. My only complaint is the driveway needs to be paved, extremely muddy and deep pot holes.
First time there. Had no idea what I was doing but the employees were nice and helpful. Made a few bucks just getting rid of old junk. I'll be back next time I have a load. Thanks Cohen!
I have never had any negative experiences here. Also im usually in and out real quick. Im not sure if its because of the times i go or if it just isn't very popular.
Worker was rude. I was charger for electronics breakage for pumps when in the past they have paid for them. I think the worker didn't like me because I asked him questions like what did you list those as (I had mixed brass and solid brass in two different containers and he put them all on the scale together) and he said I don't know they have the prices up there. I asked nothing about the price I asked because those two items should have been weighed separately.
Wish I could give it a 0! This place absolutely sucks. They are by far the worst of the worst. Watch your tickets VERY closely because they will rob you. Half the guys at the scale do it deliberately, the other half just don't know what the hell they're doing and shouldn't be there. Go to Sharonville or Garden Street... Stay away from this dump.
I was the last one for the day. You would think that service would suffer. But I was nice and they were nice.
The individuals that work there sometimes encounter customers that do not know how to show respect for others. I found that if you are nice they are nice. Sometimes when you are nice customer in front of you gave the worker a hard time. If you are pleasant it will bring the worker back to a level of civility..
