Great and HUGE Selection of Material. Staff was super helpful. They had the Size, and Type/ color of the wood we were looking for for our Kitchen Hood. We also found a great slab of thicker wood for our Floating Shelves which they cut for us down the middle, and created two peices. This gave us two pieces from one slab with a choice of Live edge or fresh square cut edge white oak shelves. We finished them with natural clear finish (General Finishes) which they carry in-store also... . Will include Finished pictures when installed.
Can you build a guitar body if you have the origional ?I have the body I need made ,texts from that little place in happen tn,I’d like to get the front with a book matched,I’d rather have it in a single piece,oh and yes this guitar has a Floyd original a brass block and I’d like to have a guitar made out of the finest woods,I can bring you the original guitar if needba
Great place to come to. I was looking for specific dimensions and wood type for a table I’m building and I was in and out the door with exactly what I was looking for in 5 minutes.
George & Jason are both great guys to talk with. We have been there before looking for a certain piece of wood for one project or another. If they didn't have the 'right' one, something new was always showing up that week or the next.
But! I am posting this review due to the brackets that were designed and fabricated by this team. My wife and I had an idea, and Smokey Mountain Vintage Lumber brought it to life!

Had a sign for my dad made here. The thing lasted all of 2 years before literally falling apart. They used regular screws that rusted out, the sign split in half. The lumber deteriorated extremely fast. The sign was just hanging up at our farm, it’s less than five years old and it is completely ruined. The image faded after about a year and just overall wasn’t super impressed with the quality.
Love this place! We went to pick out a piece for a mantel as part of a new build, and had so many to choose from, including pieces that are more traditional as well as really unique old pieces. They were so easy to work with, kind and just a class act all around. We had George install the mantel and not only was he extremely patient with my questions before and after, but he does great work! We highly recommend them for your reclaimed wood needs! Really enjoyed my experience with SMVL. I walked into the shop and they stopped what they were doing to take the time to answer my questions and help me out. I got the table top to use as a photography backdrop for my products. I had them leave the top with the rough grain for an extra rustic look and it's turned out great.
I first heard about this place at a bike race at Baker’s Creek. ( I think the shop is a sponsor maybe?) So I came in to find a unique piece of wood and and a gift card for my dad for Father’s Day. We had a great time looking around and the employee that helped us was so great to show us around and talk about the different pieces that were available.
I absolutely love my shelves from here! The team was super helpful from start to finish. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and I know moving forward I will be using them!
This place is amazing and the people are great to deal with very helpful and easy to talk to about what your doing and they have some really great wood for sale for get the the chain stores this is the place if your looking for great products
They did an accent wall with custom shelves and brackets and it looks amazing! I ordered at the Turkey Creek location and went downtown to see the type of wood and discuss how brackets should look. They are experts, and George is a vet and an all around awesome guy to have install your products. I already have a few shelves I’ll be getting in the future. Highly recommend!
If you haven't checked out this amazing shop, then you're missing out! Theres a location in Tukey Creek next to Party City. They have beautiful handmade wooden tables, shelves, signage, sliding barn doors and more! You can even have anything designed and built to your specifications! Also, you can choose the specific type of wood you want used! These guys are amazing and extremely helpful!

Had a beautiful headboard made from repurposed barn wood local to the Tennessee mountains! Very reasonably priced considering the craftsmanship that was applied! Andrew was fantastic to work with!
