These guys are no joke! Took my Suburan in to get my transmission replaced and with in 3 days I was out on the road again! AMAZING!! Very fast response and great price!! My clutch went and next day towed it for FREE!! Then called same day with the diagnosis and then with pricing. VERY FAIR!! Mike and Scott are amazing and know there stuff!! They answered all my questions and talked me through whole process. I have a high-performance car and I would trust the 100% with any of my vehicles!!!

Absolutely amazing. My experience eqs slower than they quoted me, but they found the problem in my manual transmission and fixed it for me QUICKLY. I soent about 3100 dollars for a pitch fork, a slave cylinder, and the labor to BOLT UP my master cylinder. Drago's been roaring strong ever since.

Took my 04 GMC 1500 to Trans America for trans shifting issue. Keep in mind this wasn’t a normal trans problem. Since a previous company rebuilt my trans for $2000. And was still not shifting which the other trans shop could not fix. After 5 months of being patient hoping they could figure out the problem They did!!!! I now have a fully functional 04 gmc truck that I had bought and hadn’t been able to drive in over a year knowing it had a trans issue. Thank you thank you especially Mike, Scott, and Chuck!!!! Very grateful for Scott thanks so much team members are great I had a blow out near the shop and didn't have the correct tools at the time to change the tire so I walked over to transmission corporation of America and was greated by Scott who then went all out of his way and got that tire off for me and put the spare on I am very grateful for that thanks 5 stars from me...great job u guys at transmission corporation of America definitely recommend...thanks Ashley!

Shoutout Mike he handled everything I needed over the phone very helpful and to the point, Scott actually serviced me and got me running on the road again! Great folks.

Scott was very professional and efficient. He, and one of the techs, worked late on a Saturday to get my car completed on time. The cost was very reasonable ($4k lower than I had been quoted by Christian Brothers). Scott explained everything without mansplaining it to me. His wife is also cool and kept me company while I waited for my ride.

My daughter and I were traveling home to Tampa from racing in Bristol this last Sunday when our fairly new truck had some transmission issues. We stopped and looked up a transmission shop near us and found Transmission Corporation of America. And it said they were open!! They actually were closed but they answer the phone on Sunday to help people with emergencies like us. Mike told us to come in on Monday morning and they would help us out. We got there 10 minutes before they opened and they took us right in. Oh, and by morning, the truck was acting perfectly fine... They asked questions to find out what happened and we quickly deducted that the transmission got hot and didn't like it very much. Pulling into the wind and uphill was when it threw a fit so it made sense. The suggested changing the fluid and installing a thermostat bypass kit (Yes, in GM's infinite wisdom, they engineered the transmission with a thermostat that, come to find out, is a frequent failure point on the 8 and 10 speed transmissions). We got back on the road after settling up the bill (which was more than reasonable, mind you) and the transmission never exceeded 172 degrees for the remainder of the trip. In fact, it stayed around 153 most of the way home. I can't say enough good about how they took care of us and got us going again. Mike even called to follow up and make sure we got home safe and sound. This is the place you need to visit with your transmission issues. We own two repair shops in the Tampa area and wish we had them here to send our transmission work to. Y'all in West Knoxville are lucky to have them in your town! Jim and Sedona Gotsis

Transmission Corp is wonderful! They were able to look at my car same day, I was informed of the problem shortly after my car was dropped off and they fixed the issue within an hour. Everyone I spoke to was kind and helpful, for a car situation that was very stressful, Transmission Corp definitely helped to ease the anxiety and get my car working in a short amount of time! Will definitely use them again.

I had a really good experience. The staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. They did several repairs on my vehicle, some of which other places weren’t capable of doing. Mike and Alex were both wonderful to work with. They made sure everything was done well and even offered to drive me home after I dropped off my car. I’m not sure of the names of the other mechanics who worked on my car but they did a great job, it drives just like before it started having problems. I plan to go back to them in the future if the need arises.

if it’s anything major, go somewhere else. My vehicle sat for a year with promise after promise it would be finished. I needed my transmission replaced and instead of saying they couldn’t do it, they just lie and keep it for ever and ever. Wouldn’t give a refund either. Don’t waste your money or time. There’s a reason their shop is packed full of vehicles that sit there forever. this review is correct. Don’t tell me I have the wrong business. 😂

Don’t take your car here!! It’s just awful. They have major issues with the staff and management and in turn, your car will sit for 2+ years like mine did. Don’t do it! Edit: It’s under my husband’s name. It was a 2012 Ford Focus and it was there for over 2 years. No exaggeration there.

I had never had to have a transmission rebuilt before but I can say that Mike really set my mind at ease through the process. I called several times and every time I did he would answer my questions or just listen to my concerns and never made me feel bad about anything. He was very friendly and always professional and I truly appreciate him for that! I was also very impressed with how clean and orderly the front office and waiting area were as well! Kudos to you, Mike! 😊

By far the worst experience with a mechanic shop I have ever had. My car has been at their lot on and off for 2.5 years. They have put 3 different motors in my car and my problem to this day is still not fixed. I have paid over 7,000 dollars and have not been able to keep my car for over 2 weeks. Do not give this shop your vehicle by any means, there are way too many things wrong with this company.

What a team!! Randall, Davis and Chuck pulled together to get me back on the road just hours after my passenger side ball joint failed on my way to work that morning. I never would have imagined that a repair such as this could have been done in hours, albeit on a Saturday as well. Great team and great service thanks again guys!

My first Time using Transmission Corp. of America, but will not be the last. Mike was straight forward about exactly what was wrong with my vehicle and what was needed to get it fixed. He presented me with all available options about parts and labor and and tried to find any possible discount or area where I could possibly save some money. I had my entire transmission rebuilt in my 2008 Dodge Ram. I’m an independent contractor and rely on my truck to cover hundreds of miles a week and they completed the rebuild and got me back on the road in a timely matter and my truck has never run better. Mike and Kelly were/are phenomenal about communication throughout the whole process and continue to be just as helpful after my service was completed. That alone showed me how much care and emphasis they put into customer satisfaction. They genuinely care about you, your time, and your vehicle being in the best shape of possibly when it leaves the shop. I chose them randomly and that’s one of the best decisions I have ever made. I would recommend them and their work to anyone I will definitely be a repeat customer. The manager, Mike, is what makes this shop so great! He’s available all the time, very communicative, and has THE BEST customer service. Super easy to work with, and very accommodating. He let me keep my car in his shop for four days for free while I figured out how I wanted to go about fixing the issue. He sent me pictures of the issues on my car so I would know he wasn’t taking advantage of my lack of knowledge. And he worked within my time frame to make sure I’d have my car back when I needed it. I plan to go back next time I need service, and I would highly recommend it!
