They towed my Jeep last week and did a great job in a timely manner. Good customer service and follow up from the owner!

We had a great experience with this company. Our tow driver got to us in great time, was friendly and called to check in and get details on the way. Then an office person reached out the next day to make sure everything went well with I was definitely impressed by. Will recommend this company to others and keep the contact for future needs.

Had to get a tow through my insurance and this company responded right away had me home within an hour - hour and a half. Very courteous and professional.

They towed my car and arrived to the scene very fast. Driver was very friendly and help me move it around after we dropped it off.

10 days ago I was stranded on the side of the hwy, I40 in Knoxville. I needed a tow back to Newport. The lady that called was so kind and came to my rescue right away. I had been on the side of busy hwy for almost 6 hrs trying to get a tow. She called back to make sure I was OK and if the tow truck had arrived. The driver was super nice too, we chatted on the way back to Newport. All around a great experience. If you ever are in need of a tow of your vehicle contact Africa motor company. 5+ stars.

These guys were excellent. The driver, Chris, was super polite and managed to get the truck into my driveway much smoother than I had anticipated, as it is a tight fit. He let me know an estimated time and was accurate. The company also called to confirm everything along the way. Excellent service!

10/10 recommend! Chris was so nice & helpful. My battery died at the gas station and wouldn’t turn on after attempting to jump it off. I put in a request to tow with my insurance and he was there within 10 minutes of the request being approved!! Thank you SO much, Chris!!!

Bought a car from there and got into a horrible wreck. This person I know them personally and they know the things that is going on with me personally. I was freshly in college and their wreck has caused me a lot financially.

If I could give half a star I would or no stars I would literally the worst company, I gave them instructions and a gate code for a drop off for my car don't call me they don't say anything they just drop it off not where my apartment is in a handicap spot so I had to get another company to come and move it off of the handicap spot. Like you have to be the biggest idiot.

Awful service that has caused a bigger issue to my truck than the reason I even had to get it towed. They caused damage to my power steering under their guidance. If the tow truck driver had any sense or foresight he would’ve positioned himself to park the truck correctly the first time around instead of dumping it out of the street parking lines and into the road. Due to the awful drop off the truck had to be put in neutral and pulled to put it in a proper parking spot. Under the guidance of the tow truck driver he instructed me to keep turning the wheel while he pulled me up. After turning and turning the wheel something must have broke and started causing power steering fluid to leak. The tow truck driver wanted to assume no responsibility for the damage because I was the one turning the wheel, but under his guidance, which wouldn’t have been necessary to do had the tow truck driver done the job correctly the first time around. While explaining what could cause the leak he asked if I even understand English, which I feel was completely unnecessary of a comment to make. He tried to upsell me on bringing it to their shop to fix this leak that was caused under their guidance. Awful service and sketchy.

Picked up my truck thru road side assistance. Left it resting on the light bar. Have pics and video of the truck coming off with damage. Claims they didn’t do it. Would let these guys tow a truck if you care anything about it. Company is a scam.

This place is a joke!! I waited a ridiculous amount of time, they finally towed it, went to wrong address, they had to “keep it overnight “ then tow the following morning! Long enough to suck out the $40 gas I’d just put in my car AND any silver change in my console was gone! My insurance is reimbursing me for the tow and the gas! Crappy equipment too!

This place is not trustworthy. My insurance’s roadside assistance dispatched this place to tow my van. The initial message said 120 minutes. After 90 minutes I called and she said they had 2-3 jobs in front of me but it would be soon. I asked how many trucks they had and she told me one. There building was 45 minutes away from me yet she still said it would be 60-90 minutes. I asked how one truck could possibly fulfill three tows and still make it to me in 90 minutes and she said don’t worry. I called my insurance and the called the company again, the my insurance called me back to tell me they would be there in 90 minutes. By that time it would be over 3 hours from the time of my first call. I was stranded on a busy interstate the whole time. My insurance did call another company but I still chose to call my own and had a tow truck to my location in 10 minutes. If you read the others reviews you will see that many people had a similar experience. This company thrives on insurance roadside assistance calls but clearly does not prioritize and just lies about the times it will take.

If I could give zero stars I would. Got dispatched twice from my insurance company for these guys to pickup my car. They drive by my car without stopping the first time and said no one was at the car which is a lie. I have them on camera. Then they said they were actually an hour behind. Dealership closed and they never showed. Absolutely not reliable at all. Got dispatched second time for 8am pickup the following day and at 7:30am they were already an hour behind. I will never use them through my insurance company or recommend them. Their customer service is horrible.

Needed my car towed, was told these guys are 2 hours out. Ok, seems normal for this type of thing. Well two hours past that two hours and I ended up cancelling the service ticket with my insurance company. I called them and asked where they were and the man was very rude and said 15 minutes! And hung up on me before I finished speaking. I have lost my window for my mechanic to fix this today. I do not recommend this company. Communication skills guys, come on. So glad I wasn’t stranded on the side of a road somewhere unsafe.

I called my insurance company because I have roadside assistance and I needed a tow home because my car wouldn't go into reverse. The wait time was longer than I was told it was going to be, but Mark from Africa Motor Towing was very professional, polite and he was very helpful to my husband and I in telling us what was wrong with our vehicle possibly. He went above and beyond to help us and to make sure we didn't need anything else before he left.

Was getting my car towed through my insurance company and I waited 4 hours and still never showed. I would call and each time they would say we’re 10-15 minutes out. The last time I called the owner hung up in my face and was extremely rude and unprofessional. I called my insurance back at the 4 hour mark and asked if they could cancel and find another company, we got it canceled and the other tow company was to me within 15 minutes! Do not use this place. I’d give zero stars if possible!

Got my car towed by this place through my insurance company and it took almost 2 hours to get them to come out. Kept calling them to see where they were and they said oh we are 15 min away. Well 30+ minutes passed and they still weren’t there. Spoke with the owner after the accident happened and wanted it dropped off at my house because I didn’t know the next move and figured it would avoid confusion for the mechanics. He kept telling me they would provide an estimate with their shop to contact my insurance company to get it handled after my accident. My insurance company couldn’t get ahold of them and when they finally did the guy told my insurance that he has been in communication with me about how my car was completely totaled and that they don’t repair or do estimates on accidents. I’ve only been in contact with them regarding the address where my car was dropped off which the info he said he was going to provide never did until I had to reach out HOURS after. Horrible experience and lying all around. The tow truck driver was nice but just weird how they had me on the phone while yelling at him for being late. Each time they answered the phone they were on the line with someone else. Oh not to mention they charged $700/day to hold my car in all this and I didn’t even know any of this! Told my insurance that it was a tow truck for accidents and that’s why they charged so much, which makes no sense whatsoever considering my light and part of the bumper was just clipped!

This company’s wrecker service was hired through my insurance to help me with roadside assistance yesterday evening. Initially they texted me saying, it would be a 45 minute to 75 minute away. An hour and a half later no one had arrived to help and there was no communication at all. My insurance called them and no one answered with any sort of explanation. I finally canceled it and had to call another wrecker company to come out and they were there within 30 minutes. I don’t know anything about this company’s car lot so evaluate them to your own discretion. However, A V O I D African Motos Wrecker Service unless you’d like to wait for several hours to be serviced.

My son sat on the side of the road for 6 hours. After waiting 3 hours, Progressive Road Assistance sent a locksmith to loosen a lug nut. That was a joke. Three hours later.. and out of the blue this gentleman and grandson came out banged the lug nut loose and helped changed the tire. Thank you. Super nice. Quick. Efficient.. and a God send.

Dakota at African Wrecker Service was professional and polite. We are from out of state and he got my car safely to the repair shop. Follow up= I have contacted the company multiple time since the tow to try to get a copy of the tow receipt and no one has returned my call. So today I called again and I finally spoke with a man that refused to provide me with that information because I filed the claim with my insurance even though they towed my car. I originally filed a claim with my insurance company for the tow but I am trying to get the tow bill reimbursed to my insurance company from the repair shop that cause the problem with my car that resulted in the tow. This company is very unprofessional and has zero customer service when dealing with the office. The only good experience i had was with the driver.

Recently used to have my Yukon towed to a mechanic. Colin arrived quickly, called when on the way and had my car loaded up quickly. Very nice and professional.

Had a blowout on I-40 outside Knoxville. African Motor Wrecker Service was dispatched through my Good Sam Roadside Assistance program. Victor arrived in a flatbed within an hour and had my car safely up on the flatbed in minutes. His calm, friendly demeanor made a very stressful situation much better. He delivered the car to the designated tire service, reminded me to remove my key fob from my key ring, made sure I was ok and was on his way. I definitely recommend Victor and this service.

Top notch service. The tow driver Jason was absolutely awesome and helped us feel comfortable while we were in a bad situation on our out of town trip. He chatted with us along the way to the nearest service station and checked in with us later to make sure everything was good. Extremely good guy and very professional. Wish we could drag him back to Cleveland Ohio with us to help us in the future.

Many thanks to the driver /company that picked up our Honda pilot which broke down suddenly this afternoon. The driver was excellent ! Very professional and courteous Extremely knowledgeable Did a great job hauling our 2006 Honda pilot Delivered to our home and unloaded exactly where wanted it I would give him a five out of five rating And will definitely recommend African Motor Company Thank you

My car broke down yesterday and the roadside assistance through my insurance booked this company. I called to inquire the pickup, they asked for the second time where the keys were and then hung up on me. The towing company touched the linens of my car, leaving greased finger stains and also somehow removed one of the pieces from the gear shifts. I would not recommend and will be contacting my insurance company to suggest a replacement towing company in the area.
