I needed a rear window replacement wiper blade for my SUV. I had gone to a competitor auto part store closer to home and got horrible service and left angry. At this store the employee was helpful, pleasant and efficient. He installed the replacement blade for me quickly. I should have just gone here where I have always gotten good service.

Always friendly and have what I need. Perks are a nice bonus also!

Went in to purchase parts and saw these jack stands marked down. Carried them to the counter and they wouldn’t ring up. Clearly the sale price tag is even labeled “jack stand”. The Asst. Manager tried to call the manager & there was no answer. He said he would follow up and have the manager call me. I provided my name and number, then waited 1 1/2 weeks and went back in for more parts. Found the same jack stands placed back on the shelf with stickers removed. I asked about them and was told the manager wouldn’t sell them for that price. I didn’t mark them down the merchant did. Well maybe I don’t need to buy parts at their price either. I typically shop in this store FIRST, to help out the local guy, but there is a chain across the street.

Gilbert, the manager, is genuinely helpful and tries to make sure you’re taken care of. I came in for new wiper blades, so he gave me a great recommendation at a great price. He even helped me install the new wiper blades after I bought them. I won’t go anywhere else for my car now and can’t recommend them more.

Mike is the main reason I shop this location above any others ,very knowledgeable had not let me down a single time Thank you for having a great worker not many left

Won't ever go to this location again very rude to me I think the name was Gill or something like that guy just doesn't seem like he wanted to do his job I know good people are scarce to find but this guy is not the answer to provide good customer service

Went in at 7:30pm on a Sunday and the door was already locked. Sign says they close at 8:00pm. I knew what I needed and I'd be in and out. They told me they are closed and disappeared behind the shelves. Not happy. My company will no longer do buisness with this location.

I went into the Penfield Rd Advance Auto Parts location tonight around 7:30 PM looking for brake pads and rotors for my 2018 Ford Explorer, and Stephen & Mikey absolutely went above and beyond to help me. This was hands down the best experience I’ve ever had at this store. They were knowledgeable, patient, and made sure I left with everything I needed. Huge thanks to both of them. If I want already familiar with the company I would have left assuming Stephen was the owner.

Just wanted to say what great service Ben provided me. Even though he couldn’t put in a battery for my son’s car, due to not having the right tools for a complicated bolt, but he guided me to go to Mr tires and he called them to make sure they could install. Got right in. Thank you Ben for going above and beyond!!! Much appreciated.

Sadly, this store will not take care of an authentic need. I went to this store to get a new battery 11/18/24. The battery had been jumped just prior to me driving there and the positive battery terminal was perfectly fitted to the battery when the jumper cables were attached. I had this store instal a new battery and took my car to the dealer on 11/23/24 for another issue. The dealer recorded the analysis and inspection of my vehicle whereby they discovered that the positive battery terminal had been overnighted - causing it to crack and not function. I had to pay to replace the terminal so that my car didn't just stop working as I was driving down the road. Once the terminal is cracked, it can pop off at any time. I approached the store several times over the next week, was given the store manager's name and number and the district manager's name and number. I have not heard from either of them despite several attempts and being passed "up the ladder". I can only come to the conclusion that I am being ignored and they have absolutely no intention of honoring their people's work. I would not recommend anyone go to this store, having an issue with the battery terminal where I could be seriously injured or killed due to the negligence of their employee is unacceptable.

They came out to my truck a Colorado, always had a hard time reading the oil dip stick. Then they checked all fluid levels. Bailey is a certified GM mechanic. He topped off my windshield washer fluid too. Who does that? I will always buy my auto parts here. Looked up the battery for my Triumph 955i

I usually have great experience with them but I unfortunately called to get some prices on some parts for my car and the woman on the phone snapped at me and was completely rude if you're going to work somewhere where you have to answer phones and be in customer service then you should have the attitude for it if you're having a bad day at work or a personal issue then you should 100% not take it out on the customers it was completely uncalled for

Hi! I just stopped in on New Years Eve and I needed a brake light, the nice gentleman let me borrow a screwdriver and confirmed I changed it out correctly for me! I was stressed because this was the only place open, and it was close to closing time, and I didn't catch this man's name but I just wanted to commend him for his excellent customer service and going above and beyond for me! Happy New year :)

Never had a bad experience here staff is very kind and helpful. Usually have a lot of parts in stock so it’s not hard to get what you need. Would recommend here over other auto parts places in Penfield.

I was happy that this location was open on New Years Day. I ordered the part I needed online and it was ready quickly. When I picked it up, they had crossed out the part number on the box and hand written the part number that I ordered beside it. They tried to intentionally deceive me, luckily I checked the part before I left. They were also surly when I pointed it out and returned the part. Go across the street for auto parts, save yourself the headache.

We had a dead battery. They came out to the car and checked to make sure it was not working. He then proceeded to put in a new battery. Very nice young man and totally knew what he was doing. Thanks for the great service.

I received outstanding customer service from John regarding a battery issue. I have been treated well here over the last 30+ years. However, John was especially helpful with resolving my problem. Advance Auto will continue to be my go-to place for auto parts and great customer service.

Went in today for a car battery. Nadine proceeded to discuss the topic at length, recommending their most expensive AGM batteries (and some quick research on the side told me this was a good recommendation), but also listing off alternate sources for batteries if I was really looking for something on the cheap. No joke, she is one of the most pleasant customer service reps I've ever spoken to at any business.

I would recommend avoiding this place. They sold me a defected sensor and ended up having the mechanic fix it by putting a legitimate sensor in. Long story short they refused to do a return. I have been coming to this store for the better part of 20 years (really by default/habit at this point) but not any more. Will start going across the street to auto zone.

I was in dire need of washer fluid in the winter, completely out with salt buildup on my windshield, and I swung into their store and there was a guy seemingly waiting for me who oddly knew exactly what I was looking for? I was in and out in two minutes, which was great because I was late to my job. They also replace my windshield wipers whenever I need it and they've never complained even when it was terrible weather outside. Great customer service.

I went in last week to get wiper blades and had no idea what I was looking for. I asked Sasha if there was a catalog where I could find the size info I needed and she said there wasn't, but she offered to pull it up on her screen. With sizes in hand, I selected what I thought was a reasonable option. When I went to purchase them, Sasha kindly suggested they might not be the best choice and that for the same price I could get a brand that seemed much more effective and had better reviews. I then asked if they were easy to replace (the package obscured the mechanism) and she said she would be glad to replace them for me. Not only am I very grateful for Sasha's advice and the extra effort to replace the blades for me, but they've turned out to be the best wipers I've used yet on my car. Sasha's a keeper!

They are very (really, VERY) helpful and knowledgeable. I strongly recommend this store. I went there to buy a battery. The person diagnosed the problem as not the battery, so he didn't get to sell me one, But he was still helpful, spent a lot of time checking out the car, thought it might be the starter. The car was dead at that time so I was towed to a shop where it turn out to be the starter. I will certainly be going back next time I need a car part.
