Stephen showed great customer service and was very helpful with my transaction today. He helped me find what I needed very quickly. His customer service definitely deserves a raise.
simply terrible attitude towards customers, did not help with finding the right part, I do not remember the name of the seller but there was a man with long hair, I do not recommend
I came here to purchase replacement headlight bulbs (for regular lights, not high beams). The gentleman working suggested a certain one, which I then purchased. I tried to replace my lights unsuccessfully. Come to find out, the connection was different (for the high beam slot).
I came back a few days later to return it and Steve was able to help me take care of the return. Thank you for helping make it right - greatly appreciate your customer service. I will return for future auto requirements.

Had the unfortunate experience of needing gear oil in a hurry and couldn't make it out to Napa. AAP website lists Valvoline gear oil for $19, on sale for ~$17. I bring the oil to the counter and inform the sales clerk that the oil was discounted online and asked if I could have the discount. He says "no it's online only" and "you could order online and pick it up". Really? What is the difference?
Another employee heard our discussion and confirmed the discount was for online purchase. So I went through and completed the purchase only for that same employee to say "oh you can just give him the discount"
Never in my life have I encountered an employee who won't apply a $2 discount on an already incredibly overpriced item. I paid $21 total for one quart of gear oil and now I will NEVER come back
Came out of Wegman's to find a dead car battery on a snowy March day. Very happy to realize there was an Advance Auto parts nearby. Employee Jonathan was willing to walk back & forth some distance in the snow to test & confirm a dead battery and then install a new one. I was on my way again in less than an hour. Grateful for such helpful, friendly service!
5 PM, greeted by a huge, unfriendly clerk. Wanted wiper blades. Asked for them to be installed, “no, not at night” was his reply. Tried to buy them anyway. Was asked for phone #, didn’t come up in system. I didn’t care, just wanted to buy wipers. “ need your name”, he said. I replied “ you don’t need my name to buy wipers. “. He glared down at me, I left without wipers. Went to competing store, friendly, helpful clerk, as it should be. They will get future business.
I had a great experience in the store. Mallory was very helpful and friendly. She made sure I was getting the correct product and offered some helpful and needed information.

On multiple occasions did I need a part or product within 30 minutes of closing only to find the place closed. Doors locked, no one answers the phone. If you are going to post hours on your front door that says 9pm closing, close at 9pm.
This is store in Chili Avenue is the worse to purchase anything, I bought a battery 4 months ago, it has been working properly for this time, but last week the battery completely drained out, My Ford SUV was towed, it was Dropped at Ford Cortese dealer, they said the battery passed to the test but it cannot handle the multiples cracking, so it fails in use after 3 days the new battery that Ford installed works properly now with no problem at all, I tried to replace the battery for a new one at this store at Chili Avenue, but they said they cannot replace because it has passed to the test, but I am sure that the battery is bad. I re-install the battery in my SUV for test, I keep the new one and the jumper start in the car for safe. For sure in the next days I will drop this damaged battery at advance auto parts ans ask for a new replacement.
Ordered a battery online yesterday for same day delivery by 8pm. Order was eventually updated to deliver by 9:15pm. Battery never arrived at all. Woke up this morning and now have 2 charges on my account for the same purchase and still no product. Support says I'll get my refund in 2 days or so... in the meantime I had to go to a store this morning and buy another battery, so for the time being I am out $600 for a single car battery.
*Edit- I do not blame this store or anyone there for this issue. This is higher up the food chain. I placed the initial order from this store but it had been updated to the Irondequoit store afterwards. It's clearly something with how corporate set up the same day delivery service.
They're clearly unaware of the closing time posted on the internet and on their door. Went their twice, once at 6:45 and once at 6:30, closed both times. The door says 7, internet says 9.
Store hours updated 1 week ago. Bought part online for same day pickup. Confirmation sent and when I got there there was a sign that said they were closed at 7 and not 8. I had arrived at 8.
The employees are very friendly and knowledgeable, I like working with them (location is convenient for me), but I don't like their prices...when I have time, I travel elsewhere to save money.
I honestly get excited to go here. I have found the staff to be incredibly helpful and enjoy chatting it up with them. Definitely has more of an independent feel due to the current team. Even when I came in asking, out of humor, for a muffler bearing the staff tried to be super respectful - which honestly made me feel guilty! Good folks.
Very helpful, polite and knowledgeable. I brought my car in for a battery check in the cold. They tested for it me, gave me the paper printout, made sure I understood it. Then sold me a wonderful new battery and installed it!!
Service lady checked my battery and told me she would do the installation but turned around and sold the battery to me just to tell me I'm stuck doing it and that the best way to do it is the worst way to access the battery all together ....other than that it was great service was in and out found out what was needed .
My favorite auto parts store by a mile. The crew in Chili, NY are knowledgeable, polite, professional - and the online coupons and rewards are the best.
Very helpful counter people. If they don't have your part in stock, they will try to have it for you by days end. The people make the Chili store great.
Great service, knowledgeable workers, only downside is having to wait sometimes for parts to be shiped in from another store, but the wait isn't long sometimes it can be same day.
Amazing service. They went above and beyond what they HAD to do, and made sure we were well taken care of. Battery/power diagnostics and free battery install. These guys are amazing!
