I broke down on a road trip and had my vehicle towed here on recommendation from my tow driver. I wish this shop was closer to my home. They explained everything to me and went out of their way to make sure that I wasn’t stranded any longer than necessary. I wish I could give them all my family’s car repair business, but since I live 5 hours from here, I would recommend anyone local to give them their business. I cannot express how grateful I am for the owner’s honesty, compassion, and going out of his way to make sure that I have a safe ride for my journey.

They were able to get me in the same day, which I truly appreciated. The service was excellent, professional, and efficient, and everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming. From start to finish, the experience was smooth and stress free. Hands down one of the best car service experiences I have had in Rochester. Highly recommend.

The transmission on my beloved 2016 mazda CX5 completely shit the bed. I had it diagnosed by the dealership in the begining October, and within a week it was completely unsafe to drive. The dealership couldn't get me back in for 6 weeks and had quoted me an astronomical price for a used transmission with over 90k miles. AAMCO got my car in within 2 days, found a used transmission with 48k miles and all in with labor was less than the dealer quoted me for just the transmission (with almost double the miles!) AND I have a 12 month warranty. It's been over a month now and my car almost feels new again. I feel completely safe driving, there was a minor fluid leak that they fixed right up for me, but otherwise 0 issues. Vanessa and Sean were great to work with, I have full faith in their mechanics and I will only be taking my car to them from here on out.

I wanna start off saying the owners Vanessa and Shaun are absolutely amazing. I called them on a Monday evening saying my 2014 gmc sierra was having tranny problems they told me to drop it off they called me back Tuesday letting me know that the transmission was junk and gave me a price to fix it. I thought about it over night and called the next day and gave them the go ahead to fix it. Shaun called me Friday of the same week and told me my truck was done and to come get it. I couldn't be happier my truck drives great and I would recommend AAMCO to everyone. Thanks again for the fabulous work.

Had a new transmission put in my car and they ended up fixing several other issues free of charge. After dealing with Sean and Vanessa I wont be going anywhere else going forward. Very honest and trustworthy shop.

Recommended for exhaust work from local mechanic, also took care of needed suspension work. Vanessa and Shaun were great to work with. Had some bumps with communications, but everything worked out in the end. Good price for all the work done.

Aamco is the best place to come i had more than just transmission work done they are friendly knowledgeable and communicate about what's going on very clear i highly recommend goin here for all your needs for a vehicle!!! Great staff and great work will continue to cone back thankyou !!!!

I had a very unexpected issue with my vehicles transmission, AAMCO helped me out right away. From the great price to amazing service. They go out of their way to take care of all their costumers. Even coming on the weekend to had over my keys after hours. Never knew there was still a place with such great service. Hope I won’t need their help in the near future but if I do, they are my first call.

0 stars.spent over $5000 on a refurbished transmission. From day one it whined loudly and transitions were rough. 3 years later it clunks when put into reverse.

This is by far the best Mechanic in all of Rochester! The owner and his wife are really great and honest people. I would never go to any other place ever again! Would 1,000% recommend coming here. They will get you in and out quickly, they have fair prices, and amazing service!

thank you for quickly fixing the air conditioning system on our car. even though we had to come back a second time because the system was so old there was a second leak to be dealt with, you handled the repair easily and quickly. we are now cool and comfortable again.

Went in to get my breaks and rotors fixed they’re reasonably priced and work quick! Great team they have there! Would recommend them to everyone! Dave was the best!

The team at MT Read Blvd. Rochester NY. Had me in and out for front and rear brakes. Shawn and Dave professional and courteous through my wait..highly highly recommend this shop to all Monroe County. Clean straight up gentlemen.

Vehicle smelled heavily of cigar smoke on time of pick up. Vehicle has never been smoked in by owner. Vehicle was returned with cracked/chipped windshield. Claimed they were able to properly diagnose my vans tranny issue without ever driving it..... will not be using again

We were on a cross country trip when our clutch started malfunctioning. Aamco was able to squeeze us in the next morning and made sure to fix our issue before the end of the day for a very reasonable cost. Thanks, guys, can't say enough good things about this shop!!

Best experience with this shop, all across the board! My first time I was visiting family in the area when I had an emergency fix needed to get back home. My drive shaft was completely done for. They were happy to help even just from walk in, with great Mechanics that not only sent video and pictures to help explain but also explain what was NEEDED and what was RECOMMEND. Was very much fix a part first rather than just switch out for a new one, which having an older car sure helps and shows the experience with the trade. After that first experience I was more than happy and trusted the shop. Chose to make the drive back up for more work where they helped with breaks rotors links and more. They even got it all done in a day knowing I was out of town, all great prices and awesome Mechanics to help with every step of the way. THE BEST prices, mechanics, and customer service!

Thank you David and Sean for being absolute lifesavers. The guys at AAMCO are true professionals who get the job done every time. The service in the shop is second to none while the customer service is just as good if not better. Would give a 10 star rating if possible and recommend AAMCO to anyone and everyone. Whether its brake work or an entire transmission rebuild, the guys do a fantastic job for OUTSTANDING prices.

Without a doubt my favorite mechanic over the years. I've been going here for all of my repairs since I called them for a quote 5 years ago and they told me they do free diagnostic. They let me buy my own parts and bring them the work, they are always up front about any issues and unexpected costs, and I have never had a problem that required me to come back and complain. The only problem I've ever had is my wife getting upset at me for standing around talking for too long 😂

Shawn and Vanessa were absolutely fantastic to work with. I needed a replacement transmission and the worked through all the headaches with Carshield to get everything approved. I would highly recommend them. They are great people to work with and do excellent work.

I brought in my son’s car to have them look into what I thought was a transmission problem. During the complimentary diagnostic, they determined the issue was electrical and the car needed to be brought somewhere else. Vanessa drove the car to a second destination for me and kept in touch during the process. AAMCO didn’t charge me anything for their time, and made sure my car was fixed appropriately. I am beyond impressed by their customer service and honesty throughout the process. This is my first experience there and I will never bring our family’s cars anywhere else again. Katie

They were upfront, honest and gave me trustworthy advice along with my transmission replacement so that I could get the best value out of the work they performed. Our 16 Tahoe was returned on time and in tip top shape. Highly recommend here for any/all Automotive needs!

Since I removed my review for AAMCO for few reasons with my own eyes and my own judgement mistakes, I have to admit with their service where I was wrong about them for certain topic. Their service is pretty amazing and I have to thank to them bottom of my heart for willing to take time and make sure the car is working and safe before they will hand the car back to a car owner. I am very impressed with them where they are showing their care in their work to my parents and myself. With timely fashion, I believe they are doing right thing when they needed to just make sure a driver include passenger and a car is being safe. I am sure we all do prefer be safe than sorry but this is perfect service/place for you guys if you guys need fix or replace for your car. Thank you again AAMCO and Vanessa.

I'm from California and my oldest daughter, also from California, moved to Rochester. I drove out there in my old beat up Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 truck pulling a overloaded and oversized trailer to move my daughters furniture and belongings to her new home. Needless to say I fried the rear-end when the oil gasket gave way and all the oil leaked out somewhere between Chicago and Omaha. While the truck got me to Rochester it really wasn't in drivable anymore. I thought it was the transmission but Shaun and Alex found it was the rear-end. They located and shipped a warrantied used replacement rear-end, because they don't make that rear-end anymore, to Rochester and replaced the fried one, all for less than what I thought the repairs would cost me. The new used rear-end got me and my empty trailer back home no problem. Where I still use it and just recently hauled 4 yards of rocks and 5k lb. compactor for a project I am working on. Thanks for the help Guys!!
