I had my wife's car towed to Golden Alternator and Starter for electrical problems. They found the problem. They let me know what it was and how much it would cost to fix. I was able to get the car back the next day. They definitely know what they are doing. I will recommend people to go there.
My regular Mechanic, whom I have had for over 20 years, sends me to Golden Alternator when it's something weird that's out of his realm to diagnose and repair at his shop. Golden Alternator has always 100% fixed the problem, and at a reasonable cost.
Was referred to them. Horrible customer service. Had to keep calling them to find out what was going on after 2 1/2 months of them having my car. Nothing was fixed! Don't bring your car here you have to hunt them down and to be honest they don't know what they're doing.
Brought my truck in to have wiring done for my tow hookup because I had a short in the wire that controls the right side of trailer. They told me it's not the wires it's the connector, had me buy a new part and when I got home I still had the same issue of a short in the wire. I even told them when the wire is wiggled the lights come on, call me a dumb girl but sounds like a short to me. Wasted money on a part I didn't even need. Trailer is brand new, it's not the trailer. Wanted me to bring trailer with it and bring it back. Are you seriously telling me you have no other method of testing wiring. I can't drive it there the lights are not working!!!!! I've not had practice driving with it because the lights are not working!!!!

I called and spoke with bill to get a quote on my 2012 Kia Sorento alternator. He was phenomenal had excelled customer service and quoted me a great price(compared to 3 other shops) Called back a second time once my truck was there just to touch bases and make sure everything was confirmed and spoke with Jim(I believe) nevertheless he was rude and very short, even hung up on me. That’s part of why they wouldn’t get 5 stars. Kept my cool bc after all they do have my car. However my alternator was fixed in a timely manner and at a great price. I will recommend others to use their services.
Used their services a few years ago to rebuild both my battery cables and alternator for my 02' Dodge Ram (Dodge's supplier Mopar discontinued the battery cables and a new alternator would've costed me nearly $1K brand new). Prices and services were fantastic at Golden Alternator. Glad the pandemic did not put them out of business like a lot of other places. Highly recommended!

I had them work on my car two separate times. The first time my brake lights were out and my shift gear lock was having issues. The second time I needed a new catalytic converter. Did a great job both times and one of the mechanics even waited for me after hours which is greatly appreciated. Definitely will recommend anyone to go here
Brought my car in for a quick battery and alternator test, the nice man working there found a leak in my radiator that my dealer ignored. Luckily it’s under warranty so the dealer is forced to fix it for free before my warranty is up, saving me several hundred dollars had I let it go another month. He didn’t even want to charge me for his diagnosis and battery test. Looking back I should have offered a tip, what a life saver. Absolutely wonderful and honest service. Highly recommend.
Went here to have a big old starter rebuilt. I called a few local places and Golden was the most polite and also the only company able to give me a phone estimate. Turnaround was extremely quick, part looks like its new from the factory, it came with a 1 year warranty and you have the peace of mind knowing it was correctly rebuilt with quality parts. I could have had a cheap chinese reman for a little less but this is far superior and wont die in a year. Wouldn't go anywhere else for a starter or alternator rebuild.
Hand down the best repair facility in Rochester. Fast, reliable, honest work. They have repaired 4 different issues on trucks of mine that I could not figure out the issue and all 4 times I had the truck back in a few days, fixed cheaper than I had anticipated.

Brought my car in for a supposed electrical problem another shop said it had. They found nothing. Not worried about that since it works now. I suspect is more the other shop's fault. Take my car in now that it is warmer and AC doesn't work and the new shop I took it too charges me $118 because they diagnosed the AC problem. A sensor was unplugged. Pretty sure it didn't unplug itself so I suspect these guys didn't plug it back in when they did their diagnostics. Same as they didn't put my battery cover back together. This surprise $118 bill for their sloppiness will have me not returning.
Went to have signal and hazard lights fixed. They fixed them but I have to turn my signals off manually. This one of the moments where having some is better than none ( at least I won't get a ticket😉😉 ). The gentleman was courteous and professional, and I got what I paid for $25.00. I am still going to give them 5 stars- I never know when I may need them again.
I have never been to a more honest place. These guys were able to fix my brake problem and got me on my way in less then an hour. Very polite, and professional. Would highly recommend.
My boyfriend went here to get a quote on an AC unit because his died. The man working there quoted $400 for the part alone (in store they cost $167.99) on top of labor. My boyfriend then decided not to move forward because it was too expensive for what the job should cost. When he called the shop back and told them, the man on the phone said “well okay then you just owe me $40 per second”???????? I have never in my LIFE heard a response like this. The worst part is another shop referred this place to him because they couldn’t perform it themselves! So now it makes both places look bad. Super super unprofessional and still can’t believe workers talk to customers this way- regardless if they go through with the job or not.
Had my car fixed in 3 hrs, when I didn't think it would be done in a day, found problem no one else could and fixed it ,then called to come pick up before I got out of work, price was great ,cheaper than probable estimate. I'll swear by there work to anyone.
Great experience. Good, honest people. They diagnosed and fixed an electrical problem in my car that 2 other auto garages could not fix - and they did it for a very reasonable price. I recommend Golden Alternator very highly.
Got an estimate from the Mercedes dealership for an AC compressor, which ended up being way out of my budget. Went to Golden Alternator, paid less than half what Mercedes quoted me. I got the same exact genuine part for my vehicle, the customer service was amazing, and the turn around was only a matter of days, even with ordering the part! My car is now running silent and I'm very happy. I would highly recommend Golden Alternator to any of my closest friends and family.
