New machines make this place easy and efficient. We brought in probably 15 bags of cans, and they were processed by the employees through the machine and counted very quickly. If you haven’t been back since they renovated, I highly recommend it.
Went today and felt that we were shorted. Walked in with 5 black large garbage bags filled with cans . . . left with about $33. I usually get about $45-50. Next time, I'll be watching the counter and taking stock of what each bag contains.
Gave a 2star because they are fast.
The people who work here are always quick and friendly I always have a lot of bottles and they are never upset about it will continue coming here with my bottles and cans
Just went here and returned 3 garbage bags of cans. The display showed 423 and the guy working there gave me $6.35
I didn't look at it until I left. 423 x .05 =$21.15
So be careful as they are now ripping people off.
The Best in the Rochester area. They don't have to count your bottles and cans if you have already done so. They trust you!!! I always counted my returns to make it faster and easier and they never had a problem with that. Been going there for years and know exactly how many can fit into my garbage bags.
One time they weren't open and I had to go some place else and they wouldn't take my count and ripped me off $3.00. It may not seem like much to some, but I invested time into making sure I had the right counts. I won't mention there name, but they definitely lost my business. I can't wait until the one in Henrietta opens up again. Kudos to Upstate Bottle Return...
Wow, this place was so fast, and accurate. Had over 300 cans. Was in and out within 5 minutes. Never again will I use an automatic can machine. Amazing experience!
Today was my first encounter with Upstate and they will be my go-to bottle return facility from now on! Staff members acknowledged me right away and were very personable. Even though I only had about 50 cans, a second person came over to help with the process. I had my money in less than five minutes. I highly recommend Upstate Bottle Return!
My first time out coming out here and it was a great experience! The 2 workers that took care of me were very friendly, great attitudes and worked great together. They also didnt seem to mind how many bags i had with me which made me feel better as I have had negative responses from other return places. They told me how many cans/bottles I had and how much money I would be getting back. Thank you so much! I will definitely make the drive every time to bring my returns here.
On June 19, I had counted my bags of bottle and it was 394 but the guy paid me for 274. The boy with long hair had an earphone on maybe he needs to focus when he counts. I was cheated.
Phenomenal place and people. They do a 6 cent return for Vets which is great. They are so much better than the annoying machines that don’t recognize craft beer cans and bottles that you would find at supermarkets. I’m so thankful for them
Upon arriving at Upstate I made it a point to count the many bottles I had. My total was 453 to there 383. I make a point to count what I’m taking in to see if we get the same count. I asked if anything was taking off the answer was no. I will not go there again and if there were recyclables that were not granted I should have been told that. I feel on this 6 day of 6 cents I was cheated out of my money. No thank you will not go here again.
This place was shockingly amazing. Usually the employees at can return centers look at you like you just kicked their dog, but everyone was friendly and smiling here. Super fast too.
These guys/lady are super fast, kind and professional I always go there never a wait no matter how many people are in the place. Quick fast reliable and friendly, don’t sleep on Upstate they do the job very well!!! And it is clean!!!
Good people work here,you get out quickly and they are Courteous to there customers.

This place is really good and organized. Nothing like dumping your recyclables out in a big bin and then handed cash in no time at all. No sorting and no getting your hands dirty. Why would anyone go to a place right around the corner like Wegmans to hand feed them into a machine then have to take a slip into the store to redeem. Keep up the good work Upstate :)

I'm quite certain some people expect to be treated as royalty as a guy dumps 15 cents worth of dirty plastic and tin into smelly dumpsters for them. This is where you get the "The peasant who disposed of my precious bottles was rude and the floor upon which my divine feet touched was not to my high expectations."
The guys who took our bottles were polite and efficient doing their job. Considering the task I wouldn't expect them to thank me profusely for providing them work and so this place met my expectations.
An efficent service for something I didn't want to do myself. I would reccomend using this service and ignore the other reviewers.
One thing I would reccomend to the company. UPDATE your social media and basic online presence. When we went it said closed till next day and most stuff seemed out of date.

I had not been here before but was impressed! I was immediately greeted by Justin. He was extremely friendly, the kind of person you wish worked at every business.
Returned about 90.00 of cans in 10 minutes. The guys in there were super nice and they had the soccer game on for me to watch while they did their thing! Highly recommend
Fantastic! Clean and organized, no waiting, owner on site, and definitely polite. Huge difference from where I have been going for years, Tambra??? in Suburban Plaza, 100% different experience. No need to be waiting in long lines, stuck on dirty floors and spoken to rudely or not even acknowledged. I no longer dread returning bottles and encourage anyone to try this place, you will never go back to the "dark side."
Fast, easy, and extremely nice. It's amazing how smooth they have been running since opening. Inside states that on the 6th of the month, they give 6 cents, instead of the normal 5 cents.
