Thieves. Freaking thieves! I dropped off five huge contractor bags full of bottles and cans and five kitchen bags full. I don't normally drop stuff off at these places. I thought I'd give them the chance. (Not that they give you much of a choice when you show up, they have to act like it's an inconvenience to count them) And they have the nerve to tell me it was $74. The woman in the pink sweatshirt on 11-4-2025 at 4:37 p.m. working was about rudest! She said she got the bottles done but hadn't contacted me yet. Good thing I came 2 days after dropping them off to check. My grandson puts this money in his account so they literally stole from a 9-year-old. Thieves, no good dirty rotten thieves!

This place has horrible service. They are rude, unfriendly and slow. They also freak out about glass bottles for some reason. I will only go here again if they are the last available location. I found a better one only a few min east on the same road, complete inverse of this dump.

Fast counters. However, I came in at 12:36pm they only had one customer and one worker the customer only had one bag left (not even full). The worker had locked the door since it's their lunch at 1 to 1:30. They are fast counters and finish 3 bags in less that 15 mins. I don't understand why they would lock the door 25 mins before their lunch.... They finished at 12:41. They are about to have about an hour of lunch time. Change your lunch signs to say closed for 1hr of lunch 😊

Showed up at 535 pm not only were they closed and locked but they actually went through the trouble to unlock and open the door to give me horrible attitude about how they closed early for no reason. Only had 2 bags of bottles. Never going again and wouldn't waste resources going if I were you

I came 30 minutes early before closing and this Black lady didn’t let me go in and locked the doors Cuase she “wanted to get out already” but let this white man come in and 2 other white man in front of my face , very rude, disrespectful, and racist 😡

The last time I was there, it was a long wait to get your cans counted. Other times it has been quick. The people who count are very quick.

Horrible customer service. Go there on a weekend and immediately badgered by staff with instructions. Staff was huffing and puffing about people leaving their bags everywhere. Tell me to drop off and they will call when bottles are counted. Cool. 3 days go by, no call. Go there in person now. First sentence out of the staff: “you have alot to drop off?” Seriously?! A simple “Hi how are you today” goes a long way. It doesn’t take much to teach staff adequate communication skills that an adult should possess.

The service at the establishment was subpar. Upon entering, I encountered an older lady with a negative attitude who promptly informed me that they were on their lunch break. Although the sign out front indicated that they were closed from 1pm to 1:30pm for lunch, I arrived at 12:30pm. It's important to be prepared to support yourself in such situations.

"1:00PM to 1:30PM closed for lunch".. that's okay as it's labor laws, but at 12:35, why is the door locked? Not the first time either- went and will be going elsewhere.

Came here on to return bottles on 08/08/2024 around 05:35PM. Please note that the hours online AND on the door state that they are until 6:00PM on Thursdays and the lights were on in the facility. I gathered up my bottles, walked to the door, locked. I stood for a minute to see if I could see any movement inside, nothing. I lugged my bottles back out to my vehicle and called the facility upwards of three times, no answer. I will be taking my business elsewhere going forward, this isn’t how you run an establishment. Do better.

If I could give no stars, I would. I was told not to go here, but I said, "Let me give them a shot." The customer service is the worst, and the workers are RUDE!!!! Trust and believe I will not return, and I will spread the word of their nasty ways. I went there today to return cans, plastic bottles, and glass bottles. I counted out 407 in cans and plastic bottles as well as 110 glass bottles. I checked my receipt, and the worker only paid me for 405 of the cans and plastic bottles. I went to confront him and let him know I didn't get paid for the 110 glass bottles. The other worker in there told me that if I dont like how they do business, I can go somewhere else to do business. They didn't even give me the difference I was owed. If you do go here, please make sure you count your bottles as well.

I was already weary of giving this place a shot after reading some of the reviews, but earlier today I decided to take a chance and see for myself. I arrived right at 10 am when the hours of operation indicate the center opens for the day. Unfortunately, my reservations were validated very quickly as the door was still locked and it was painfully obvious no staff were inside the building or on premises. Myself and another couple who were there waited for at least 20 minutes before deciding to call it quits and take our business elsewhere, and there also were two other cars who came and went while we were waiting. This was a frustrating inconvenience and I don’t anticipate giving this place another go in the future. I’ll just drive further away next time since I know my business will be welcomed elsewhere.

I always get good service here and I get out quickly with my 5 bags. Use that tip jar and help them out. I tend to come right when they open and I rarely wait long. I'm sure that can vary.

Every time I end up going to this recycling center it’s an exercise in frustration. The employees are not at all helpful and borderline rude, they have mandates that you bring all your glass and cardboard boxes, and it’s just not convenient at all. I’ve been sent to the parking lot to re-box all of the glass bottles in the trunk of my car so they would take them. The final nail on the coffin for me was showing up 25 minutes before their advertised closing time only to find out they had locked the doors and left. Don’t waste your time coming here, find somewhere else to go.

Wasn't going to leave a review but... how can you have can counters that can't count? Brought $120 in cans back to get $75. For being a miserable bunch you're better off hitting the machines at wegmans. You'll know what your getting back is accurate and it'll take the same amount of time if not faster.

I came in today and the woman working, by herself, took care of my 4500 plus return. She was very systematic and made what could have been a long tedious process very smooth and seamless. She is a real asset to your business, I will return because of her.

So for the second time I came here, I waited again for 20 minutes with 1 bag of returns while 2 others with mountain of returns ahead of me, after the 20, the clerk tells me he won't get to me before lunch, an hour away. And he is taking his full hour lunch. This isn't the first time this has happened. They need an express lane fot small fries like me or more staff. I go over to the return in Spencerport and was in and out in 15 minutes.

No cart to bring cans in with. There was one person waiting and bags on bags of cans everywhere. This is not how the places in Henrietta are I walked out and even though this is closer to my work am going out of my way so i dont have to carry each case of cans from my loaded car in one by one. There are even steps to make it more diff if you had your own cart of something.

Way too slow. Was in there for over an hour waiting behind two people (one was mostly done when I arrived). At least five customers that came in after me left because of how slow the employee was working. Only one employee. Seemed to do the job diligently, but at the grand expense of everyone’s time. I have been to many bottle/can redemption facilities and waited behind two people or more and was in and out in 10-15 minutes tops. Definitely won’t be returning, I just simply don’t have the kind of time to wait for over an hour to redeem bottles. Will be much faster if I go to Henrietta even with the longer drive. My recommendation would be to either have more on staff or make sure staff can process cans and bottles much faster than this gentleman was. It took him at least two minutes every time he had to change a full bag out for an empty one…

Certain workers are great during the week but the owner is there on Saturday and he is very rude. I had 21 bags and asked if I should just drop them off and his response is well if you don’t we’ll be here till 9pm. I brought 17 bags the Thursday prior and the kid working was pleasant and did it while I was there. I know how much money I should be getting so we’ll see if they’re honest while I’m not there.

I have had to change my review since the owners changed hands. This place is filthy and disgusting. The gentleman that works here is so miserable, he clearly hates his job! What was once a clean and pleasant environment to go to, I went once expecting to see rats running around. I will never step foot into this establishment again. I will gladly stand in line at Wegmans or drive to Henrietta to return my bottles and cans. So long Mr Grumpy and your pig sty.

Staff was extremely unpleasant. Sign stating there is only one customer at a time, which is all the way on the right window away from the door, out of sight if you’re walking in the door. Female staff immediately said in a nasty tone “umm only one person in at time.” This is not the first time employees have been rude here. Didn’t stick around to wait and there was no formation for a line outside, very unorganized. Will continue to go to Upstate Bottle Return in Henrietta like I have been, worth the drive and professionalism.

I went in to return bottles on Thursday 1/17 /2020 A little after they open. There was one person ahead of me. I had to leave without returning my cans after waiting 20 minutes because the woman working there was so slow. I went to the one on Spencerport rd and was out of there in 5 minutes.

I would give this place 4 stars if the parking was better. Everytime I go, the parking lot is full and it's very difficult to turn my car around because of the small parking area. Aside from that, I have no complaints. The staff is friendly and quick to get me in and out.

First time coming here. Gentleman working was extremely rude. I had 9 cases of bottles neatly packed to be dropped off. He looked at me and said he will be closing for lunch and wouldn't have time to help me (this was ten mins before one). Will not be returning to this location. Horrible first impression.

I regularly drop off 55 gallon bags of cans, and get a text/message when ready. The last two times that hasn't happened but- new phone- their speed is great for when you don't have to wait. For a place that has tons of un-rinsed bottles it's kept very clean, and has been always a fast stop. Their parking is adequate- so long as the patrons play nice- so stop on by.
