What clients say about Brandywine Springs Park in Wilmington (DE)

Every time I have work meetings here, we head to one of the pavilions and it’s always a pleasant experience. The park has a welcoming atmosphere—there are usually a few people nearby walking their dogs, which adds to the charm, and it’s a great spot for anyone who enjoys a peaceful walk. The amenities are practical, with porta potties available if needed (though I’d recommend bringing your own toilet paper and hand sanitizer, and be prepared to squat). Beyond that, the park itself is simply beautiful. I’ve noticed people come during their lunch breaks just to sit in their cars and take in the view, which says a lot about how restorative the space feels. There’s a playground in the same area but I rarely notice many kids there. Brandywine Springs Park is a gem for both gatherings and quiet moments, and I always look forward to spending time here.

Brandywine Park is beautiful! There is ample parking right next to the park. The pavilions were spacious, there were a multitude of big trees for shade, and a wonderful playground. My only negative issue was the Porta-Potties. They were filthy! Before the event.

Nice history and walking trails. We go here almost every day to walk the dog and have him swim in the creek. We stay away from the duck pond in the summer but nice enough in the winter to walk around.

When I heard this was an old amusement park, complete with a hotel and spa I didn't believe it. But it was. That and more. There are signs with pictures throughout the park. Beautiful birds and turtles also.

This is a beautiful park with a playground, pavilions with picnic tables and barbecue pits, walking trails, a creek that runs through it, basketball and baseball courts, and so many beautiful large trees. It is a favorite of ours.

It's nice there if you have the ability to slowly climb down steep hills and then back up. They did a good job at entwine history and relaxation. You can go and read, see pics, and visualize the amusement park that was there and there are some good trails for dogs and human alike.

This is a fun, shady park. The play equipment is a good quality, and the overall park was clean. We didn't explore the rest of the park, but it would be a great place for a picnic or for letting kids run around.

A favorite place to walk and explore with the pups. Lots of history here is fun to learn about with the signs down in the valley by the running water. Go when the daffodils are blooming, there are so many varieties!

No matter where you access Brandywine Springs Park it is delightful. There is planned trail work this Spring so plan to circumvent the portion of the trail undergoing enhancements. The work is being performed to allow for better handicap access as well as a more robust surface along the trail.

Great little park that was an amusement park and bottling facility in the early 1909s. Efforts have been made to preserve what's left of the park and show what was there through historic pictures and written summaries. A great little park for a day trip or picnic, and don't forget to check out the 3 different springs at the park.

Beautiful park for a little walk and hiking, it has got a nice little children’s play area, basketball court and a baseball court. The trails can be slightly muddy depending on season, so use a hiking shoes. Amazing river side trails, the water is very pure and clear. There are a couple of pavilions with barbecue for a nice family picnic. *Plentiful parking.

Nice little uassuming park that offer baseball/soccer field, basketball court and play area for the younger children. There are some nice short trail paths that can be challenging. They offer a paved path to access the picnic areas. The port-a-potties are serviced weekly.

Nice place to take the dogs for a long walk plenty of shade during the summer heat that gives plenty of protection. I recommend during ealry morning the park isn't too crowded also seems like plenty of space to gave small gathering for gazebos and plenty space for kids to run around will be coming back again.

Spice Mill Run overlooks the creek. It's a beautiful community and you get a nostalgic view of the Wilmington and Western Railroad.

I love going to this park during my lunch hour at work. Plenty of seating area, a nice play area for the kids, big open fields if you want to play catch or throw a ball, it offers great nature trails for those love to explore and be one with nature. Plenty of trees for good shading on a nice summer day. This was my childhood park growing up, holds so many memories.

Great park, great history. Never knew how much was in the area in the late 1800's. Great historical value, pleasantly surprised, a great find.
