I live in DE and my car broke down on 95 in Philly, I had to call AAA for a tow to their nearest center on Delaware avenue. The CS rep told me 2-2&1/2 weeks for them to LOOK AT IT! After the $102 diagnostic my car needed a new reservoir ($212) and another hose that hooks the radiator ($200?) + labor & my with AAA discount $1100.00!!!!!!!!! I'm not dumb! I told the rep on the phone their prices are DIABOLICAL!! I towed my car to Penny Hill on Tuesday ($100) and it was ready on Wednesday $685??? I will only go here to service my car. THANK YOU FOR YOUR HONESTY & DIGNITY?? I'm happy to give my money to a local family run business, they need it more than the big ? companies.

Well I got the run around yesterday. So I go in to pay start talking to the lady behind the counter was very rude cut me off to talk to my girl then she bring Mechanic in to say my girl car need Front suspension work. So I ask how much to get it done. All he could tell me is very Expensive. I work at a shop for 5yr and we either call or waited for you to come in to give you the cost on the other problem on ya car. But I think this place has I problem with me dating a white woman lol never going back. So part check engine light back on my girl car

I have now been to this place 3 times in the last 3 months. Twice for a major repair and most recently for a broken window motor. Brian and team will not give you the run around on anything. Honest prices,great work and does the best they can to see you ASAP. Wish I knew about this local place way sooner.

Highly recommend this place to anyone. Everyone here is very knowledgeable and accommodating. The prices are extremely affordable. Brian works with you on pricing and does whatever he can to make sure you leave happy and taken care of. This is the only auto business that cares about you and will be honest with you instead of trying to take advantage of you.

My car needed a new battery and my boss sent me here. It looked very packed so i wasnt sure if i could get it done. Everyone was very kind. I forget the technicians name but service was done under 30mins so I was really happy.

Brian and his team look out for the best interest of their customers. He recently turned away a potential repair for me because the car was “almost” covered by a warranty. He explained to me how to navigate through the manufacturer’s warranty exception process to get the repair done at a dealership. It took a few extra days to get the work done, but he helped me save $1,400. He got nothing for his help other than a now loyal customer.

Total lack of communication from the owner. They kept my vehicle longer than they said they would, without so much as a courtesy call, leaving me stranded. They also went ahead with repairs without consulting me or confirming what I wanted done. When I called in for an update it was like pulling teeth. I’ve never before used a mechanic who didn’t communicate a single thing about the work. I used Penny Hill for a while and until recently was happy to recommend them. After my latest experience sadly I won’t be returning.

Good folks. Brian made time in his busy schedule to fix my car in less than 24 hours. Brian was knowledgeable and kind. Huge fan of this shop. Although I wish my car's alternator didn't give out, I'm at least grateful it happened down the road from Penny Hill.

Brian and the crew are exceptional. We've been getting our company vehicles serviced there for over 2 yrs now. They are busy, so make sure you call ahead of time and make an appointment.

Very reasonable prices. Honest and reliable. Bring most of my vehicle's from Delaware County from them to work on. I would recommend to all my family members, veterans and law enforcement friends.

My oil light came on while driving on 95 with alert 0%oil. I Googled the closest oil service and Penny Hill came up. When i called he said he will do it but probably i will need to wait quite some time. When I arrived he took me right way! The service was impeccable!! The price was better than most. I watched how he dealt with the constant ppl coming in due to the snowstorm. They didnt turn anyone away and made appointments for the ppl who had flexibility. I will be returning

This really is the best place in the area to get your car serviced. They don't sell you stuff you don't need. One of the few places where if you ask them to replace your brakes, but your car doesn't need brakes, they'll tell you it doesn't need them before proceeding to make sure you actually want them to do unnecessary work. Everyone is served on a first come first served basis, so the sooner you get there the sooner your car will be looked at.

My husband and I have been going to Penny Hill for 10+ years. Brian is very honest and trustworthy. He's kept cars running for us and always charges us a fair price. We refer everyone we know to Penny Hill.

I had a slow leak in my right front passenger side tire. Turned out it had a nail in it. And no time they had the tire off checked it fixed it back on and had me on the road within less than 20 minutes. Great customer service. I would highly recommend this place for service.

Today both my husband's car and my car were unexpectedly out of commission. My husband and I are new to the area and hadn't found a mechanic yet. I called Penny Hill because my car needed to be seen so we could have at least one functional car. Brian and his team were kind and understanding about our situation. It turns out my transmission fluid line was rotten and needed replacing. They got us in and took care of us with excellent customer service for a quality price. Incredibly thankful for their work!! Happy to have found a reliable and quality mechanic now.

These guys are amazing! If you happen to be on the fence and where to take your car it has become my new spot! Every time I brought it in Dave had quick answers awesome attitude excellent work ethic and on top of that prices are always extremely reasonable. Never make me feel stupid it’s just amazing to take my car there no matter what the issue! I’m a huge fan! Can’t suggest it enough!

My husband and I recently moved to this area and Penny Hill was recommended by my sister. We have taken our cars to them a couple times over the last couple of months for a variety of old car ailments and Brian and the team at Penny Hill have been amazing. Everything is done right, done quickly, and they charge a fair price. I feel like I can trust them and I'm happy to have found a mechanic in this area that I feel happy and comfortable working with long term.

When I first spoke-to who I assume to be the owner-on the phone I knew this was a good shop. He took a few minutes to consult me about counterfeit parts on the phone, and then another few minutes when I dropped off my car to explain something else. Got me in and out surprisingly fast as well without an appointment, so, they know how to queue tasks and properly prioritize their customers. To put simply: these people care about what they do, and the price of service is on point. Your car is in good hands at Pennyhill and I would recommend this shop to anyone in the area.

These guys are the best mechanics around. My local mechanic wanted $1,900 for a clutch replacement and then gave away my appointment. Penny Hill got it done within a day and just the same as the work I've had done there before, it is top quality. They charged me around $850 for the same job I was quoted $1,900 for, and they do better work. Highly recommend these guys.

I've have being a mechanic for 30 years and when it comes to fixing my car I'm very meticulous. Since I am retired and have some health issues, I can't do certain repairs. So, I take it to Penny Hill Service. Brian is a honest men, won't take advantage of you, and will give you advice on the repairs. He is a true Professional. Never had to bring the car back after a repair and the price is reasonable. The best shop in the Claymont/Wilmington area. Thanks Guys!!

My fiancee and I started going to Penny Hill because they had excellent reviews, and in our experience, they absolutely, completely and totally deserve every last good review they get. They've been nothing less than complete professionals. Every time we've been there, they've been honest, efficient, and polite. They're also incredibly affordable -- more so than any other place I've been to in my life. Seriously can't recommend these guys enough. There's no substitute for a good mechanic. EDIT: It's been a couple years since I started going here, and if it's possible, I admire them even more. More than once, I've taken my car here to get a weird rattle or an odd warning light checked out, and they've fixed it without charging me. *Without charging me.* They said it was too minor of a problem to bother with charging for. These guys are good people AND good mechanics.

These guys were recommended by a guy a work with. Went and got a quote for rear brakes and rotors on my Audi A4. Guy gave me a great price, and then I had him replace two tires too. Pricing was awesome, I saved $330 vs another quote i had on the whole package. Guys were honest and seemed to know what they were doing which is rare. Kind of hard to see the sign for them, so just try to look carefully. Highly recommend.
