Helped someone move to VA and found Green Drop online. Easy and convenient to donate everything from clothing to books and household supplies. Really like what they do with donations. Check them out ?
A far better place to donate than Goodwill. They email the receipts, same two people there every day… and the actually appreciate the donations. Very efficient and convenient. Open 10-5:00 7 days a week.
This facility made it very easy to donate my gently used items. The attendant was very nice, helped me unload the items from my trunk, and provided a receipt electronically after I registered. The entire process was quick and efficient.
I scheduled a pick up with greendrop several weeks ahead of time. They never showed up. When I called they gave no explanation. When I demanded that they come and get my stuff since they're in my area that day they refused and offered to reschedule I said no way I'm taking my stuff to goodwill. I am elderly and it took me months to get the stuff together get it downstairs put it outside and then I had to bring it all back in. Please do not schedule anything with greendrop there are other organizations that pick up your donations and show up.
Despise this place. The very definition of beggars being choosers. Everything must be boxed or bagged? We don't take this we don't take that. Just go down the street to the thrift shop and save yourself the aggravation

I really love this donation center. They offer contactless drop off you. You just pull up and the clerk will take everything out for you. They have 3 locations that you can donate to. I donate to the purple heart organization. They do have modified hours it’s 8:30-5pm M-Sun.
They do take small furniture just items that you’re able to haul and I believe it’s nothing over 50lbs because the clerk will need to be able to lift it.
This place is amazing. I drove up and was greeted by an attendant. The attendant was very friendly and professional. He helped upload my car and separated my donations. It was not busy and went very smoothly. I was able to pick which charity received my donations. The process is very quick. I highly recommend this locations for your donations.
It's easy to donate to other Non for profits that are not usually mainstream... You just go, they take the items from your car and email you a receipt.
I’m sure this organization is great but do not expect them to pick up your donations at your house. I echo all the pickup statements in these google reviews. I put my items (2 trash bags, a small box, and a vacuum-nothing too laborious to take) outside on the sidewalk in front of my address at 6:30 the morning of my confirmed pickup date. Labeled, out in the open, made the instructions very clear on my request where the items would be. At 3 PM, the items were still sitting outside so I called to see when they’d be by and was told that the driver said he couldn’t find the donation items. The woman I spoke with on the phone was very nice and asked if I’d like to reschedule but I just rented a car and took the items to Goodwill instead, as I needed to get rid of the items this week and it was too late to schedule a pickup from another donation site. So if you’re going to schedule a pickup, I guess you need to put the items directly in the middle of the street so the driver can find them...
Scheduled a pickup for today. I was up at 5:00am taking everything outside. Never showed up. Tried calling, but no one answers. Finally, emailed asking if they were still coming. They told me the pickup was “unsuccessful,” but I could schedule again a week later. I doubt I would have heard from them had I not reached out. Don’t offer a service if you do not intend to follow through. I will have to find elsewhere to donate. I can’t drag everything outside eacht week in hopes they might show up.**UPDATE** The organization reached out and scheduled a new pickup for Friday and apologized for missing the initial pickup.
Great place to drop clothing, appliances and books. Very efficient and caring about where to send it. I. have dropped off 3 car loads of items over the last month and everything was perfect and I got my receipts emailed back to me the same day. I will use them again.
These people are obviously running a scam! Their website says I'll receive a tax receipt. Not true. When I asked about, some woman took my information and said a tax receipt would be emailed to me. It wasn't! All my emails to them have been ignored and phone calls unanswered. Nobody should donate to these scammers!
Really bad service the pickup drivers make no effort to look for the items or contact you if they cannot find the items you are trying to give charity. I would expect better for philanthropic organizations.
When it comes to donating my stuff, I usually go to some thrift store in the area. But when I was looking up donation centers near me and read the reviews on Green Drop, I had to check it out.
It's a noticibly small building off Route 1 and I like the fact that I don't have to get out of my car as I'm bringing my donations. As one guy comes around to take away my box of stuff, another guy takes down my info as it was my first time donating at this location. I can even choose which charity to support, of which your donations are turned into critical funds to support either the American Red Cross, the Military Order of the Purple Heart, or the National Federation of the Blind.
Additionally, according to their website, if you're unable to make it during their hours of operation, they also offer pickup at any time and place you provide.
The ease, simplicity, and efficiency of this donation center makes it one of the best places to bring my unwanted items. I highly recommend!
Great service... they were at my car door before I could open. Very professional when collecting my information. Emailed a receipt before I left the parking lot. Awesome team.
Great place to drop off donations where the proceeds actually go to charities you support. Plus it feels good to donate and declutter at the same time!
The GreenDrop vehicle was left overnight several times and attracted people who dumped clothes near the vehicle I asked GreenDrop to remove the vehicle twice but the wouldn't. Greendropcan contribute to the degradation of your neighborhood.
Left a reclinable bed and a bag of clothes for donation. They only picked up the bag. Lazy people, probably don't really care about the people in need and only want to carry small things.
They took my donations, except for one small cabinet. Receipt was supposed to be emailed to me but I still haven't received it? Drop off was easy, and the gentleman who helped me was friendly.
UPDATE: Got attitude/snark from one the employees, very much not appreciated. Also they don't take furniture. I go to the Thrift Shop on Sherwood Hall Lane/Rt 1 now instead. It's worth it to unload my own vehicle.
They make it so convenient when you drop off. They meet you outside, help you unload, and then send you an email receipt right then and there. Great tax right off.
