Writing this because of the phenomenal customer service and knowledge of its leadership and employees. I do not often write reviews but b/c I was so surprised to see two out of five stars on yelp, I had to share my experience with this store. I will try to submit a review on Yelp as well, to raise the star avg, b/c they deserve a higher score and should not be maligned by the miserable people that enjoy complaining about every product and service they use. This store and these people do an excellent job. It is the only auto parts store I patron for my personal vehicles and the fleet of trucks I manage for work. Thanks to them for being so helpful each and every visit!

My windshield wiper needed to be replaced and I was shamefully struggling to get it changed. But Eric and Eric came out and made quick work of it in the midst of a snowstorm. Those guys are legends management should give them a reward! I live in the neighborhood and this will keep my business coming back.

First of all, I can't thank the team at Advance Auto Parts enough for helping me during a late-night crisis. I arrived at AAP around 8 PM on a Thursday night because my battery was bad, and I had just gotten a jumpstart and was afraid to turn my car off. Ironically, I grew up in the back of an auto shop, as my dad was a mechanic for 40 years, but I knew nothing about cars, lol. The first person I met was a gentleman named Eric, who said after I rambled through my emergency, "Go ahead and turn your car off, I'll change your battery for you." I was in complete shock because while, yes, I knew I'd need a new battery, I simply thought I'd have to change it myself (via YouTube videos) or take it to a mechanic the next day. But no, Eric helped me select a battery with a warranty, then went outside in the 22-degree cold, mind you, and changed my battery. While waiting inside, I spoke with Erica (yep, Eric and Erica :)), and I told her I felt incompetent with my lack of knowledge about cars and just babbled on. She was respectful and polite and gave me some additional advice on maintaining my car. After Eric finished, he said he noticed some low fluids that I needed to get filled, and Erica gave me a local referral to handle that and an oil change. Honestly, I had just come home from work, still in my business clothes at 8 PM at night, exhausted and alone, and I could not have run into nicer people. They knew their stuff, they were there to help, and even though they were about to close, they didn't miss a beat in helping a customer. Advance Auto Parts will be my go-to place and referral place for all my clients from this point on. I truly couldn’t thank them enough.

Spent $473 in this store and they wouldn’t let me use their sink to wash my hands after I changed out the parts in the parking lot.

Bad in store service. I called about a battery for my car and was told they had battery type I would need and could probably change my battery but they had to see my car. I went to store and they looked my car up on their computer and told me they could not change my battery. I don't understand why they didn't look my car up on their computer so they could confirm that they wouldn't change my battery out. It would have saved me a trip to their store and having to jump start my car to leave. This is very poor customer service.

Taylor was very nice and took extra time to walk me to the aisle the part I was looking for was. Also, we couldn’t find the part right away, so she kept looking around until we found what we were looking for. Thanks Taylor

Tried to call and check parts availability I was put on hold for 15 min decided to drive up anyways a few hours later. 4 or 5 customers waiting to be helped and only 1 employee who was busy. I left to go to AutoZone Needed $600. In parts

This advance has plenty of friendly staff to help you get what you need to get your car road worthy. I've been coming to this location for years and don't plan on finding another. Before it became advance it used to be Hollywood video and a game crazy. Walking in that building brings back old and new memories. Memories of when I was young and came to check out the latest and greatest games and now to find a random nut and bolt or just a drink even. It's just that good of a place.

Came here on a Saturday afternoon to get blinker lights and end up testing my car battery. Taylor helped me put the battery in the car. She was careful and helpful. I am happy to know that Advance Auto trains their employees to do this to keep motorists safe on the road.

I was attended by Yenifer R, who is bi-lingual (English-Spanish). She was able to test my car's battery, alternator, and starter and identify that I needed a new battery. We were able to find a new battery and she was able to install it within minutes and also dispose the old battery. Thank you team!

Very helpful. My battery had run down and they checked it out for me. Turns out I did not need a new one and they offered a free charge of the one in my car. Wonderful service and I will always use Advanced Auto Parts!

I've been to several advanced auto parts stores in northern Virginia and this one is definitely one of the cleanest. The staff is very friendly as well. They also have a bigger store with more options than some of the smaller places around here

Clean, fast and polite. I picked up a jug of windshield cleaner. I was in/out. Even though the area can get a bit congested, because it's a small strip of stores about 6, the parking lot and surrounding area is tidy and debris free.

I live nearby and recently decided to start doing preventative maintenance on mine and my wife's vehicle because I do not trust the dealership service departments anymore. I also loathe standing at the counter of an auto parts store and taking whatever parts the employees says you need. Enter online purchase and in-store pickup. I can research and verify I have all the right parts for what I need, verify they are in stock and then place the order and go pick them up. This Advance Auto called me (Sean) to say that they were missing one part and were having it shipped ASAP. After arriving, my order was correct and Jose was very helpful with any questions I had. I even went back two days later with another online order to get some more parts. The employees are friendly and helpful at this store and I hope it stays that way!

Came in here on a Sunday Morning with 7 other customers in line to buy parts and check out... only one associate was available and he wouldn't even answer the phone to tell folks to at least hold on the line. Why do they only have 1 person on a Weekend? This is ridiculous! I have never had such a bad experience In all my years of being an Anvance customer! This locations Customer Sevice is Terrible!!

Went in to get new windshield wipers and have my battery checked. Shawn helped me out and he was amazing! He went way above and beyond by not only changing my wipers and doing the battery check, but also showing me how to change the wiper blades and telling me all about battery life, my options for purchasing a new battery or charging my current one. (I know little to nothing about cars, so he gave me great info!) It’s rare to have good customer service anymore, but Shawn exceeded every expectation I had of what good service is. He was knowledgeable, helpful and so respectful. Thanks so much Shawn!

Just walked in and heard an employee talking to her coworker. Her exact words "if they don't like it they can leave, it's not like I'm blowing it in their face or anything". She was referring to her ecigarette, very poor customer service in my opinion. Sounds like management needs to educate the staff about proper behavior when customers are in the store.

Most of the employees are friendly, however, when doing online orders, nothing is ever ready to be picked up...even hours later. I’ve placed quite a few orders online and show up only to wait for 20+ minutes while parts are gathered. Most of the times it seems their online inventory is inaccurate, which requires me to travel to multiple locations.

Their test said their battery wasn't the issue even though I had 2 mechanics say it was. As soon as I get my battery replaced under my warranty ( which I had to call customer service to even get) car started right away. They swear their equipment is always right, now I'm out a 3 year battery warranty

Was told by and showed by a mechanic that my battery was bad. I took it back to this location since I had a 3 year warranty on my battery and it was only a year and a half old. They swear it's still good enough to crank a car and refuse to replace it!

Very poor customer service and the wiper blades I paid $50 for still don't work right. I've been back to the store and they said on the phone they would fix the problem but once there I got put off now 3 times! It's ridiculous. With a receipt and after calling corporate office supposedly issued a $50 credit that now nobody can find and my wiper blades are still not working right and squeaking loud. Just go to Auto Zone.

Went there to get a new battery for my car. Everyone in the store was polite and attentive. Installed the battery for free and really seemed to care about making me a happy customer. Great job all around on this visit.

Whenever I order online, which is supposed to be ready in 30 minutes, even when I come hours later, is never ready when I get there. Once or twice, I even had to go get the items off the shelf and bring them to the counter. I know that's called a typical shopping experience, but then why offer the option?

Normal auto parts store with horrible check out time. I waited almost 30 minutes to buy fuses because one guy was installing old lady wiper blades (nice of him, but come on, other people need to check out and she can wait for her free service) the other guy was haggling about a warranty even before I got there, and the other guy was walking around the store, not helping or stocking. They should dedicate one check out for item in hand customers. This is why Amazon is taking over...
