BEWARE! CONTRARY TO WHAT GOOGLE SAYS...This is just an unmanned, drive up site with single stream and glass recycling bins. You CAN'T turn in electronics, batteries, CFLs, etc. Home Depot will take CFLs and RECHARGEABLE batteries in bins at the customer service desk.

The no dumping sign confused me at first. Called and they confirmed it means trash that doesn’t belong. Easy place and open to the public.

Some broken glass around the glass bin which doesn't surprise me, but overall clean and easy to find. It's literally at the end of a street in clear view.

Plenty of space. Follow street signs pointing to center rather than Google maps (which will get you close)

Sept. 2021: has three single-stream recycling bins (cans, cardboard et.) and one large glass recycling bin. :-)

Convenient for the city of Alexandria Westend. Could use a bit more monitoring by the city to maintain and clean up.

As of 6/16/2019 absolute diaster. Bins are overflowing and people have just left unrecyclable garbage all over. Went a few months ago and was clean and nice. Very disappointed now because what is even the point of collecting recycling and bringing it if the system isn't utilizing it?

The city keeps this picked up nicely. Very easy to recycle because all items can be tossed in together - no sorting.

Dumpsters at the end of the street. Be kind and put the items inside the dumpster, following the instructions.

It's a public recycling center. Two large dumpsters. One for paper, cardboard, etc. The other for cans, plastic, etc. No regular trash.
