Way overpriced, dirty, no place to try on the dirty, overpriced clothes

Becoming a bit too expensive. Plus no open access to public restroom. Beware when shopping because many items (especially electronics) are about the same price as online or some local stores. EDIT Sept. 2025: For some reasons they are now treating honest customers like criminals. I had two bad experiences recently. Picked up a Brother printer and went to check out only to be told that the price was incorrect. I wne for another one and the lady again said it's not the right price. Crazy. The other time I went to pay for my item. Lady was closely monitoring me which I don't mind. But then then another lady suddenly asked to see my receipt. This never happened to be. BTW not only I'm a honest person but I also make way more money than both of them. I like theifting because I like old stuff plus I believe in recycling. Value Village is a bit more friendly to customers.

This is the most biggest thrift store I have ever been in if you do not find anything in here there's something wrong with you their prices are really good

My wife cut her foot in the store and needed to go to the hospital! There was glass all over the store in early May of this year and my wife cut her foot on the glass that was on the floor next to the cash register. The store manager came out unapologetic and she simply told us that the store will file a claim similarly to how you file a claim for a car accident. I was upset and upon asking her a couple of questions she just walked away and ignored the both of us. My wife ended up getting around 3 stitches on her foot and followed up with a podiatrist with several visits. She now has a permanent scar on the bottom of her foot due to the carelessness and poor management of this store. They just did not care enough to offer a safe environment for their customers.

The restrooms are basically inaccessible. Dirty, NO LOCKS. No efforts to improve. The management could show respect for customers by providing clean, private bathrooms. Until they do, I recommend other area thrifts. I still go occasionally only because I enjoy the variety of products and the nearby Starbucks. Usually I will choose the other Thrifts, especially ones with clean, private, workable, accessible bathrooms.

There is some good thrifting here - mostly clothes. But the store itself is always dirty, and the bathrooms are absolutely disgusting. Definitely use the restroom before you come shop.

Schuit gave horrible customer service. He kept changing the price of my items at check out when it was already on there. Then he scanned all my items and WRONGLY scanned them I counted the items and he had double scanned a few items so on top on increasing the prices on my items he tried to scam me out of the amount as well. It was very unpleasant and unprofessional checking out took 20 mins when it usually take less than 5. He was horrible.

Worst place to buy I was checking an item and the guy very rude said if you not gonna buy it don’t check it! how you gonna buy something if you don’t know if it doesn’t work ? Never coming again ! Don’t come here don’t waste your time most of the comments are the same very rude people you have to check the employees behavior ….!

After years of shopping there, someone in the self check out screamed at me for a pair of kid shoes that were apparently tagged incorrectly as if I had done something wrong. I don't have a tag printer so my guess is she must have wanted them and tagged them at a deep discount for herself. She must be making bank stealing from Value Village this way. Probably should be fired.

I have been a long time customer and usually have regular experiences here. Recently I’ve had two negative interactions with employees which make me hesitant to come back. Two times I’ve been accused of ‘stealing’ or ‘walking out without paying’ and both times the accuser was wrong.The security and employees are rude, unwelcoming, and ignorant, and to top it off didn’t offer a proper apology to me.

I went into unique to look at watches. They had quite a few in the case and several that I was interested in purchasing. I waited patiently for the attendant to be done with her customer before she came over to help me. Rather than attend me attentively like she did her previous customer, she would get a watch out of the case, give it to me then close the case and go take care of a customer at the register before coming back. I had wanted to buy several but she wouldn't let me tell her that I wanted to save them. I ended up telling her I would take one and she said "finally" as though I had not waited patiently for her to help me and as though I had not waited patiently between each of the watches she showed me for her to come back. I ended up with one white Baby-G but would have bought three or four more if she had let me and if the service hadn't put me off. I will give it another chance but I'm not optimistic.

I love this thrift store, first I have an Xbox 360 so I don’t have that much games for it so I asked my dad if I could go here and he said yes and I found so much 360 games but they were all 5.00 sadly but I picked up 4 games and 2 ds games ?

I absolutely LOVE this thrift store! I'm here almost every day and there is always a plethora of high end purses, clothing, shoes, accessories, and 5000000 much more!! Extremely kind staff, always willing to help when needed. I always feel welcome, and treated with a great deal of respect. The staff at the donation center is 100% on top of their game! The staff will unload your car for you, there is never a wait, careful with breakables, and make the experience very pleasant all around. I would highly recommend this thrift to anyone! Thanks very much all, !!!!!!!

I used to shop here a lot but since Covid their prices just keep going up. I’ve seen 10 shoes I could buy new at Walmart listed for 12.99. Glassware is 5.49 for one glass. Books are 4-7 which is really high for a thrift store. There are still some deals here but it takes a lot more looking to get them.

I use to like shopping here but after what happened yesterday not no more. Yesterday was my last time shopping at this location. The manager, which is a guy (on the Unique side of the store is the worse). As I finished ringing my items and then paid for them I started packing my items in my bag. Then a man approaches me and says did I ring the shoes that I had already purchased. I said to him who are you? He says the manager. Then I said to him if u look on the checkout screen you would see the shoes were the first thing I scanned. I scrolled the screen to show him and all he could say was sorry. Smh. Racial profiling at its best. I was the only person he approached an asked that.

I was in the toy section and came across a BUG ZAPPER! children should not have access to this nor should it have been placed in the in the toy section. Unique, in combination with your rising prices this gross negligence is un acceptable

Nice selection of clothing, well kept racks and floor. Numerous coupons if your a member through email. Paper bags are charged. There is a double store inside. You have to pay on one side before going across the hall to the other side. Overall I recommend.

Great place to shop! Two stores in one, lots to choose from. Prices can be little high and staff is no where to be found for questions. Apart from that, it’s worth checking out!

Yesterday I visited here with my daughter and it literally smell like pure doo doo on the side of the store near the accessories. I almost couldn’t shop because of that alone. I also wish the clothes were more fairly priced. I (regretfully) ended up putting many things in my car back because I just couldn’t justify spending money on items I could get brand new for cheaper, which is why I only give them 3 stars. I think a lot of people echo this same sentiment. However, you can find some great stuff in here and in good condition and on trend with the current fashion season. It was super packed because of a 40% off sale they were having that I found out at the register was only for kids’ items ??. I also had to re-register to get my super saver points which also sucked. But overall, the shopping experience is decent you just gotta have patience. Some lady nearly tackled me for a coat (that she could not fit) yesterday.

Each time I visit I find great unexpected treasures in both stores. The air quality of the smaller side needs to be improved; it stays too hot. Because Unique is a thrift not a consignment store, items are a bit pricey. The majority of the staff are friendly and polite. However, there are a few I recommend customer service training and understanding/ interpreting store policies.

Massive stock, but mediocre prices and they aren't particularly careful about putting out damaged stuff and junk. If you're in a pinch you're pretty much guaranteed to find something serviceable in your size, and you can find some gems with repeat visits. Donations are also quick and easy and open near constantly. The checkouts are less quick.

Not at all a thrift store. Prices are laughable. You can buy much cheaper online... or anywhere else... WAYYYYY OVER PRICED. $7+ for a used book is just stupid. Also it smells like a cesspool just nasty. At first I thought it was the guy next to me soiled his pants But then I realize the smell lingered through the whole store. AVOID.

Extremely packed on Saturdays. 4/5 for cleanliness and organization. 2/5 for prices, as stated in other reviews the prices are that of a consignment boutique and not a thrift store. The employees are kind, although they are far and few between.

This and other "Unique" stores are for profit. They are not cheap. Check things carefully. They don't care if they sell things with holes, markings, etc. Yes, they have lots of things, and some of it isn't bad quality. But most is terribly overpriced unless you go on a holiday, when they typically give 50% off. It's a great place to get jeans, but buyer beware. It's easy to buy stuff, then realize you could have gotten the same things new at a Walmart or Target for a couple dollars more. On the plus side, however, they do have dressing rooms, and they will let you return something for a credit if you do it SAME DAY, and TAGS are still on the item.

Worst thrift store I have ever been too. Prices are ridiculously high! Found a beat up pair of alligator bookends that I was planning on repainting. Price listed was $4.99. I thought even that was a little steep considering the condition they we're in, but I thought they were charming so I said "why not". Get to check out and the cashier immediately starts giving me a hard time. She says that they will EACH be the listed price. I tried to ask why a pair of bookends would not be sold together but was rudely shut down and told I'd have to pay 10 dollars for something essentially worth nothing. Well good job guys, instead of making 5 bucks off me you made nothing and lost a customer. This place is for suckers.

Browsed the store 4ever today, found some nice clothes for reasonable amount + they had a discount of the day going on so it was even cheaper. The dressing rooms could use a Lil tlc but at least they have them. The cashier was very sweet and SD u could even exchange items as long as the tag is left on.
