I can't say enough good things about Curtis' helping my mother with replacing and changing her battery while the store was short staffed and busy after the weekend snow storm. Working in customer service I know it's no easy feat and he was personable, helpful, and efficient getting the job done. If he isn't already a manager, I would highly suggest promoting him and could see your reviews improve over time. Good work is VERY hard to find nowadays.

The guy who answers the phone never wants to help, give information or any service whatsoever. Extremely terrible customer service. Got the help and parts I needed at a different branch 40mins out, with great customer service. This location sucks.

Went into the store to get rotors and brakes And I was helped immediately. Curtis is one of the best people who works in the store . He told everything I need to know about the Rotors and brakes that I was purchasing. Very kind and has amazing customer service skills he made me very comfortable and I left without any worries. Horrible experience I ask for a battery test at 06:00pm It’s summer time daylight stay untill 8pm they said something about a store policy where they can’t go out the store at that time? You come there so they can help you right?

I purchased a battery from this store two years ago. Recently, the battery died, so I brought it in to have it charged. An employee took the battery and told me she would call when it was ready in about an hour. However, she never called, so I went back myself after an hour. When I returned, she went to retrieve the battery and showed a picture to another employee, asking what it meant. I noticed him reacting with confusion, saying, “Who did that?” He then checked and came back to tell me that my battery was not going to work. He claimed that over time the positive charge reverses to negative (and vice versa), implying that the issue wasn’t their fault, and mentioned that he sees this problem every day. He also stated that he was the manager. What he didn’t realize is that he was messing with the wrong person. I will make sure I get every penny’s worth and stand up for myself—and for others who might face similar treatment. If this kind of misinformation and excuse-making continues, you will be hearing from me. As a consumer, I am protected against this kind of daylight robbery, and you should be prepared for what’s coming.

My car broke down in front of Enterprise and Mohammed helped try to jump my car and eventually ended up replacing my battery for me. Thank you so much, I wouldn't be home without you!

I came by here to get windshield wipers installed that I bought online. I was going to pay whoever $20 for their generosity. They refused to put them on because I didn’t buy them from here so they missed out on a blessing! Just an FYI if you were looking for decent/generous car experts in the area!

Outstanding service from Drake, Eduardo, Luis and Vilma. I had never been to this store before, but they had a tool kit and brake cleaner that I needed, so I put an online order in for store pick-up. I was very pleased with their friendliness and having the order ready and complete. I noticed one of them was wearing an Eagles jersey, so we all enjoyed a brief football conversation. This left a good first impression. I pulled the caps off the 4 cans of brake clean to check that they were there and noticed one of them was broken. Drake quickly refunded me and apologized. He offered a more expensive can at a discount. This was very generous, but I decided 3 cans were good enough. On a second occasion, I called in and spoke to Vilma about a second online order I had placed. She was incredibly knowledgable about how to check the status of the order and verify that it was cancelled. This may seem trivial, but Advance Auto has an archaic computer system(and computers) that is both difficult to navigate for employees and their customers. She has obviously figured out how to correctly and quickly get necessary information out of it which I appreciate(several associates at other stores had absolutely no idea how to tell whether my order had been officially cancelled). Additionally, she was friendly and polite and seemed determined to provide accurate information. This is always welcome.

I came to the briggs cheny store next to Ross at 7 September Saturday 02:45 p.m. the manager was very rude, I went to ask for a solution about a car polishing that I bought from same store day before and it’s not working very well, my car turned completely matt instead of glossy, when i go there he was like we can not return bla bla , I even didn’t ask for return, he didn’t gave me chance to talk about my problem, don’t know how this company hire him as a store manager, he should first listen to the customer not react . As a regular customer of this store I’m very upset about his behavior. He should learn how to nicely talk to the customer before work there .

Had a dead battery for my Hyundai Veloster N. Nathaniel was able to help search for the right battery and took the time to install it correctly. 4 year warranty for the battery. Great customer service from Nathaniel.

The young man who helped me went beyond the call of duty: my battery was dying when ever i leave my car standing for a long period, he not only checked the battery & honestly told me the battery was in excellent condition, but also check to see how i set the light of the vehicle and recommended the right setting to void draining the battery. A very professional service!!!

Beware of their SCAM!! I purchased a $35 item from Advanced Auto Parts and was told that it wasn’t in stock and needed to be delivered to the store for pickup. I was charged an additional $8 for shipping. When I returned to the store to pick up my order, I was told that it was not delivered and to come back. I returned a second time and the customer service person brought up an opened package for me to take. When I refused and asked for a refund, I was given the cost of the item but not the delivery fee. The store charged me an extra amount for a service that I needed because of their lack of inventory, tried to give me an item that’s been tampered with, and refused to refund me the full amount when I refused to take the item because “delivery fees are not refundable.” There is no place on the receipt where they indicate that or their general return practices. It’s deceptive, sloppy, and a bad business practice. I’ve reported it to the BBB and the FTC. Update: I called the number below and was told the same thing. The only reimbursement they’re willing to offer is a discount on my next purchase from their store. Why would I spend another dime at a business that’s already charged me for their lack of inventory and tried to sell me an item that’s been tampered with? Shopping at this store is a huge waste of time and money.

I experienced Bad customer service today. I told a representative who spoke with Ellis about my Alternator and yet when I had someone rush to the store to pick it up, they closed their doors 5 mins early knowing I had someone coming there. The lights were on and no one answered the door. Store hours are till 9 pm and if a customer says they need something urgently to fix their car and you don’t even give them the courtesy of waiting till 9 pm. That is horrendous and unkind. I will speak with a manager and hopefully people can show more kindness towards each other.

Steve (The manager) saved the day! My car battery died and Steve not only installed but cleaned the battery cables and also ran a diagnostic on my starter and alternator. I have never had service like this at this particular location. Most times I was given the run around. He was confident professional and very knowledgeable of his job. He also was very thourogh and pateint with the new employee he was training. Steve went above and beyond. Hopefully he sticks around - He's one of the good ones! 😊

I came into the store to purchase a few auto parts and I was greeted by steve. His professionalism was beyond what you can ask for. He took care of me and provided top quality assurance. I have been coming here for years for almost 20 years . This was by far the best manager at this location. Thank you for your kind service Steve. I look forward to coming back to this store.

Don’t buy electrical machine at this store or any Advance Auto Parts. They do not accept return. So you will pay and pay $300 and more and they will swallow your money. The manager even mocking me. They also won’t tell you that you cannot return those item. Because according to them as a buyer we supposed to read it. That’s sounds deceiving. Never buy there anymore. Go to Amazon instead read reviews buy it there wether you can return and get your money. Even Walmart but never buy to a place that do not accept return for high cost item .

I have never seen a manager so unprofessional, lazy and just plain rude. I was told 3 different things by him and two of his employees when trying to return a part I ended up not needing. When I tried to express that it was a little frustrating, he snapped at me, made it my fault and made the whole experience the worst I’ve ever had. I’ve been to this store 3 times trying to return a part. I was told I needed my receipt and I could return it. I come back with it but not the card that was used because it’s my husbands. When I told him I did not have it with me because it’s not mine and my husband is at work, he told me again I couldn’t return it. Without properly giving me all of the information in the first place. I’ve worked retail and know how tough it can be. But I’ve never seen a more worse employee let alone a manager. I will not be coming back after I’m able to return my item. And I do not recommend this place to anyone.

Good Afternoon Advanced Auto Parts Team. I'm writing this review to inform everyone with the lack of customer service that I have received from this store. The manager there, Brian, has been very incompetent with me during my time there. He would be very rude and unenergetic when I would ask for help. I have never seen an employee, especially a manager, give me such negative and unprofessional treatment before. I hope this message reaches the board and something is done about it. I was rudely scoffed at by the general manager, Brian. He made indirect remarks about my appearance, and did not acknowledge the situation when I had to wait for a long time in line. I find myself dissatisfied by the experience, and would recommend other stores if it means more general courtesy towards the customers. This is what happens when you put an actual brainless maggot in charge. I hope this review helps those in need

This store at Briggs Chaney in Silver Spring is Awesome. There Always helpful. I go there right after work (at Holy Cross Hospital) and get there right before they close. They're Great Customer Service keeps me coming back. THANKS GUYS 👍

Today my daughter and I went to Advance Auto to see if she needed a new battery. Sure enough she did. Jeff and Joyce were great! Their customer service was exceptional! I was very pleased. They were professional, very courteous and knowledgeable. Jeff took the old battery out and replaced it with a new one within a matter of minutes and we were on our way. I definitely recommend this store. Thanks again for the great customer service!

Jeff and Joyce were amazing!! Customer service was excellent as well. I was stressed out because my car battery kept dying. I wasn't sure what the issue was but I brought my car up there and was able to test the battery, purchase a new one, and they even installed the battery for me. I believe the other employee on duty's name was Reena. She was also a huge help in pulling up my information and helping me purchase the correct battery. If you ever need any car parts, or have issues I definitely recommend bringing your car up there and seeing Jeff and Joyce, they will take care of you !!! Thank you guys again !!!

Had an issue with my windshield wipers and was very frustrated. I was originally recommended one that didn't fit. I should have double checked myself. The clerk seemed new and was trying hard but the manager came to the rescue. Turned my 3 star review into 5 stars. All in all, was satisfied. Sometimes if you don't act like an a** to them, you let their customer service skills shine through. Parking lot issues has nothing to do with the store and just means that the plaza gets a lot of business. I don't know who the manager is but she was working at 8pm 7-5-2019.

Went to this store last week to buy an oil filter edge wrench. The people working there couldn't tell me what size I needed but told me it was fine to purchase several different sizes and return the ones that didn't work. I tried all the sizes but none of them fit properly. I went in today to exchange them for an adjustable oil filter wrench but they told me I couldn't return them because they appeared to have been used. All that is fine and I wasn't worried about it because the wrenches were pretty cheap. The bad part was how rude the people were about the whole situation. They were accusing me of lying and I actually heard them laughing/joking about the whole situation in the back. I have been going to this location for several years now, but all the staff has recently changed. I will not be returning to this location, it's a shame because this was all over less than $15. Try purchasing what you need online, from the dealer, or another location. I would not suggest going to this store.
