Bought a new Tiguan from DARCARS VW in Silver Spring in January 2026. Fawad was our guy and provided a very stress-free car buying experience. Very pleasant throughout and, after the transaction was complete, he continued to spend the time to help us get acclimated to all the bells and whistles before we rolled off the lot. Really appreciate him and the team at VW!

I had an amazing Experience with Fawad Shaikh (Salesperson) at DARCARS Volkswagen of Silver Spring. I recently purchased a Honda Pilot from DARCARS Volkswagen of Silver Spring and had an outstanding, stress-free experience, thanks to Fawad Shaikh. The financing team was transparent, and I felt confident in the deal. The overall atmosphere at the dealership was friendly and genuinely caring.

I love my VW — the car itself is fantastic. Unfortunately, my experience with Darcars both after the sale and with service was frustrating. I had to send countless emails and follow-ups just to get my tags on time, and I only got them at the last minute. They never informed me about an extra fee for the plates, and when I reached out for help, no one seemed to care enough to understand what I actually needed — staff just pushed me along and seemed to hope I wouldn’t call back. My service experience was just as bad: I brought the car in for door protection and nitrogen air, and again, no one made any effort to understand what I needed. Because of all this, I don’t trust the dealership for service, even with the extra packages I purchased. The car is great, but buyers should know that overall support, communication, and service are seriously lacking. I would not recommend.

Nov 2025 Update: I just learned that this place SOLD the used car I traded in and never transferred the title of the vehicle over to the new owner. So for an entire year… someone has been driving that car illegally, still in my name. How were they able to leave the lot?! I only found out because that car was involved in an accident and I received notification from the driver at fault’s insurance. This experience has been an absolute nightmare that just will not end. Edit: Unfortunately, I’m back to provide an update to my original post below for any potential patrons. PLEASE reconsider bringing your business here and avoid this dealership at all costs. What I thought was a phenomenal sales experience has become an absolute nightmare filled with utter regret. If I could get rid of this car and in exchange never have to deal with this place ever again… I’d take the offer in a heartbeat!! TWO MONTHS now since my lease agreement was signed and I have now had to re-sign FIVE separate iterations of a contract (all individual visits & still without any resolution) due to the incompetence, disorganization and lack of professionalism of their staff members, including leadership/upper management. My temporary tags have now expired due to the amount of time that they allowed to elapse and so even after beginning my payments I can no longer drive my car and am in a rental, as they refused to make any exceptions to legally accommodate. Initially they’d suggested I just keep driving around with the expired tag and if pulled over or ticketed they’d “reimburse” me. I’m sorry?! You can’t even handle what you were hired to do and specialize in - why would I ever take that risk and trust you to handle a police matter on my behalf? The gaslighting, lack of accountability and dismissiveness that I’ve encountered and experienced has been astonishing and outright insulting. They have really tried to convince me that this is normal and there’s nothing that they could have done differently to prevent this chaos. For a business that should be so client focused, their customer service and regard is atrocious. You’ve been warned. ——— I cannot express how grateful I am to have visited this dealership and to now be driving my first Tiguan! I’d been in the market for a new car for quite some time, but had been putting it off because I’d heard so many horror stories about shopping as a single woman. My entire process was seamless and only took two days! I was treated with the utmost respect, never pressured and had every single one of my questions answered with patience. My sales associate, Alex Nuth, and his manager (also pictured) went above and beyond for me. They were INCREDIBLE! If you’re looking for a new VW - this is the place for you!!

Rude staff and not very well versed with the cars they work on. Asked how many times my ECU has been tuned, they told me the ECU has never been "flushed". Replaced my EVAP pump and killed my fuel pump. Possibly was creating a vacuum in the fuel tank?

We stopped to check out new VW Tiguan in October and lucked our way into working with Jordan. I hate the car buying and Jordan was so easy to work with. No high pressure vibes during the test drives or sales process. He answered all my practical and impractical questions during the test drive and made sure we knew every aspect of the safety features (we were recently in an accident so this was super important!). We went to a variety of other dealerships but came back both for the car but specifically to Darcars to make the purchase. Jordan and Diako worked with us as much as possible in price to get us into a high quality vehicle.

Terrible customer service!! I waited 3+ hours for a new tire and an oil change! They send you a text message saying you can contact them through text but nobody responds. This is absolutely ridiculous. Dealerships are a bunch of BS and twice the price for everything! Thanks VW fir such great service.

My experience with Yachii at Darcars Volkswagon in Silver Spring was excellent. He was incredibly helpful and answered all my questions quickly. I decided on my purchase without seeing the car prior to going into the office to finalize the purchase, but Yachii made it easy by providing a complete walk-around, highlighting the features, to ensure there were no surprises. Just spent $$$$$ to have my 2017 VW Golf serviced to make sure everything was shipshape for our annual drive from MD to ME. Started having engine trouble and the NH VW service found debris in a fuel injector from a service 10,00 miles ago. In addition, they listed multiple problems from poor service from last week, including the serviceman having left a flashlight under the hood near the engine!!! Furious. I’ve spent a fortune in the last week.

I came here for a simple fix but was denied service. My gas cap was stuck closed, and I was unfortunately running on fumes when I got to the dealership. I wanted them to open it without running a diagnosis. It should have been simple to remove the lining in the trunk and pull the actuator. However they refused to look at my car without sending my engine data to VW. After going back and forth with the service manager he finally did say “okay if you want to do it, it will be $280.” I said “that’s fine” and went outside to make a phone call before paying to have my car fixed. While I was on the phone the service manager stepped outside and told me they were going to deny me service. No explanation whatsoever was offered as to why they could not take care of the issue. I was told I need to leave and was treated with hostility. I ended up going to a nearby gas station where believe it or not they opened the door (it was alap a lot cheaper than $280). After that I could finally put enough gas into the tank to get to a better dealership. Ourisman of Laurel took care the issue easily. After submitting a 1 star review I did receive a call from their customer support team and they thoroughly explained their policies and why they couldn’t help me at the time. The representative I spoke with was very nice and apologetic and asked me if I would be willing to change my review. I agreed to change my original review because it’s not their fault at the end of the day. However the service manager did not offer any explanation and was rude and hostile when telling me to leave. I am still upset with how I was initially treated as a customer. I still don’t see myself returning in the near future for service. This is not a bash on the dealership, just their service manager and how he poorly handled the issue.

I purchased a vehicle from here before seamlessly several years ago and returned expecting the same excellent service. Unfortunately, I was lied to about the vehicle availability, and when I canceled and tried to get my money back it took them several months and a call to the corporate office before I was refunded. Very disappointed but thankfully, Pohanka had what I wanted and great service.

Here’s an update to my previous review further illustrating the poor quality of work at this dealership. In addition to the items below, I started noticing some kind of oil drops on my driveway and in my garage. So I crawled under VW to find the “technician” had replaced the OEM drain plug with a common bolt (see pics) that does not seat properly. It appears to be tightened beyond belief but still has threads showing and the washer doesn’t seat. Unbelievable. Taking it back in but I dunno if I can afford the post-repair corrections it will likely need. I’d actually give zero stars tbh. The pic of the separate drain plug is an OEM which is a T-45 to show the difference. Previous post I tookmy 2010 VW Jetta in on June 30 for a 130K service. Lazy and sloppy work. Drained the sunroof and it looks like they drained it on the headliner and of course didn’t clean it up. Rotated tires and now I am missing the special lug nut tool from the trunk and six of the plastic lug burn covers. Left greasy rags in the engine bay for net time I guess. Run, don’t walk, from service at this place.

Do not go here! Slimy dishonest dealership. Youseiv in sales lied to our faces about a car, price, and a deal. They will treat you like someone that doesn’t know what you’re talking about and try to throw a bunch of marked up prices in your face. avoid this dealership at all costs you’ve been warned. Not sure what was going on a few tables over from us but there was also a customer crying inside. stay away from here

I purchased a 2025 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport and I was pleasantly surprised with my entire experience. My sales agent was Jordan and he was very knowledgeable, helpful and professional. It was also a plus that Jordan is the owner of a Volkswagen which gave him additional knowledge and hands on experience of the product. He went above and beyond to make sure I was complely satisfied before I drove off the lot. Jordan, in my opinion is definitely a valuable asset to the DarCars company. I was also impressed with the no haggling approach and the price we negotiated was the actual out the door price with no hidden or additional fees. I would highly recommend DarCars Volkswagen!

By far the best Volkswagen dealership in my area! From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed by the friendly and professional staff. They were extremely knowledgeable and took the time to understand my needs, working with me every step of the way without being overly pushy like other places. My salesman, Yachir, was absolutely fantastic—he was incredibly patient, attentive, and answered all of my questions with great detail, ensuring I felt confident in my decision. His dedication to customer satisfaction truly stood out. Jose Guerra in finance also went above and beyond to make the process smooth and stress-free. He was patient, informative, and took the time to explain everything clearly, making sure I was comfortable with every aspect of my purchase. We just brought Volkswagen Atlast 2024 today, the Sales Consultant Fernando is very professional and friendly, we almost signed our deal with another dealership but Fernando’s phone call and his amazing customer service made us choose silver Spring VW. My husband found himself back at the Darcars service department for a tire repair dealing with the fantastic Herbert. We needed a nail removed. So while the work was being done, he went up to the sales department to see our favorite sales manager Diako Akunzadeh. They were talking and Diako ended up offering us a fantastic deal on a new lease! So we traded in our old lease & ended up leasing a new vehicle! Diako was fantastic to work with and is just such a gentleman!! We highly recommend Darcars VW and Diako. Blue old, red new.
