Far East Motors did an amazing job on my car. It was towed in and had to be pushed into the shop, but their technicians quickly diagnosed everything and fixed it the right way. Now it runs better than before the breakdown. They delivered as promised, were professional from start to finish, and their pricing was fair. I highly recommend them!

Bought a 91 Honda Legend Coupe RHD. Car wouldn't start and stay on. Every other mechanic was afraid to touch it because it was Japanese spec. I called the shop and Paul was super helpful and super detailed. They were able to diagnose the problem and were prompt with what I would need. I was up and running a day earlier than expected. Im happy to have a new mechanic in the DMV. I won’t be taking my cars anywhere else.

I brought my 2011 Nissan here to get a new Mass Air Flow Sensor. My mechanic didn't have the tools to calibrate it and had suggested taking it to the dealer. Not only did they want $400 more than the dealer, but found $7,000 of repairs they said I needed! My mechanic laughed out loud at the list. I would not trust them for anything.

Far East Motors were super communicative, friendly, and professional. My Mazda had an electrical issue and they worked to identify the source of it, which was not trivial. They got it done in a timely manner and communicated with me throughout, which I very much appreciated.

I was dealing with an emergency and Jon helped me immediately without being scheduled. I was very impressed at the knowledge and skill of these professionals. I would highly recommend.

Took my car in for a state safety inspection, and they said they had a state inspector. That was a lie. They took the car to Takoma Oldtown Auto Service for the inspection (who are great btw, go there instead) and upcharged me. Additionally they drilled holes in my cars fog lights without asking me, they stated it was to vent moisture inside the housing but I never saw any. They drilled straight through the lens, not even through the side of the housing, and didn't even bother to reattach the housing to the bumper. My car failed safety inspection at Takoma Oldtown Auto in part because of the holes in the fog light housing, my guess is Far East Motors were trying to create some billable repairs for themselves. I want to reiterate, I went in for a safety inspection and did not authorize any work on my car and they drilled holes in my fog lights and took it to a different mechanic for the inspection! I took my car to Pinecrest Shell in Annandale for the repairs needed to pass inspection (they have been working on my family's cars for years, can't recommend them enough), and I will be skipping the middleman and taking my car to Takoma Oldtown Auto for the re-inspection. I will not be going back to Far East ever, the cat in the office was cute though.

I came in for 80,000 mile maintenance check. Scheduling was easy and quick. They identified several things for future repair, but seemed on the level about what was urgent and importantly, what was not. Seem trustworthy. I’ll be back.

Had a critical and time sensitive repair need for our 2007 Prius just 2 days before Christmas. Not only did Far East Motors resolve the issue along with other needed service, they were able to do it before noon on Christmas Eve. Truly appreciate their professional and timely work.

Customer service was excellent! The team got me in quickly, diagnosed the issue, and fixed it promptly. I had my car back the same day! They are very knowledgeable when it comes to Prius vehicles. Fast, friendly and knowledgeable. When my car started leaking oil from a faulty oil change at the dealership. The Far East folks got me in reasonably quickly, diagnosed it within an hour, and got it taken care of. It’s nice to be able to rely on a local mechanic!

I have been coming here for a few years now and I can’t recommend this business enough. They worked on my Jeep JK , and now my GR86. Paul’s customer service skills is outstanding. He’s very informative and willing to work with customers. Prices are tough but it’s worth it. 10/10

I brought a 1993 Acura Legend coupe to them in a box. The numbers matching engine was rebuilt by Tacho Machinist Hyattsville but my mechanic fell ill and couldn't complete the job. Far East did a complete rebuild and put the car back on the road again. Its a 32yr old vehicle so anything can be a problem they fabricated a shifter lock that couldnt be purchased, fixed the fuel rail seals leaks, vacuum leaks, cleaned+resealed plenum, brakes, and more. We are still working through some rough idle issues but otherwise my baby is on the road again and she rides beautifully. I went from a car in a box to a running classic vehicle. Thanks Mr. Watchman and Paul for taking great care of me.

The staff were very helpful in providing a quote that beat competitors. They communicated quickly and efficiently. We scheduled the work and it was completed that day. I am very happy with the service that I received and my car is running great. 👍🏽

They were able to replace my battery at short notice on a Saturday when I really needed it. Nice people; clean shop. I plan to go back. Paul even fixed my key fob, which the Toyota dealer could not do.

Have used FarEast now twice--once for an issue with our family's Honda and once for routine maintenance on our Nissan. Scheduling was easy, communication was excellent. I appreciate that work estimates include photos and the ability to approve/decline specific portions of the work via text link. I've been looking for an honest, accessible local shop for a while and happy to say that I believe I've found it.

I had my Honda towed to Far East Motors based on a Google search after a no start situation at night and away from home. I left a note and the keys in the night drop box and they fixed it the next day! Paul was friendly and communication was great!

My Infiniti G 37 convertible, have some engine issues. I took her to the dealership and got a quote that was twice the the value of the car. Spent $800 with that information. The next person that shopped around to recommend it, I junk the car. I took it to Far East, they were upfront, communicated well about Repairs and cost, And even though I spent more than I would’ve liked on this car, in the end it was well worth it after driving it today. It is actually driving better than it has been for the past three years. And I saved myself a couple of thousands dineros by avoiding the dealership. Appreciate it
