Today I personally rode down to Miami to meet the owner of Tim Halpin Equipment Corp. after our truck liftgate broke down.
Sometimes in community work, our trucks are more than vehicles. They are lifelines that help us pick up and distribute food to families, seniors, and individuals in need. When equipment breaks, it can affect an entire day of service to the community.
What meant the most was the personal attention and care we received. The owner took the time to meet with us directly, listen to our concerns, inspect the situation, and make us feel valued instead of rushed away. That kind of customer service is rare today.
You can tell when a company truly cares about people and not just business. We left feeling grateful, respected, and hopeful that our truck would soon be back serving the community again.

I had a very upsetting experience with one of this company’s drivers recently. While we were on the road, their driver suddenly cut me off with no warning, forcing me to brake hard. My pregnant wife was in the car with me, and the reckless move genuinely scared both of us.
Based on this incident, it feels like the company may not be properly training or screening their drivers. I hope they take this seriously, because unsafe driving like this puts people at real risk.
Above and beyond. 5 stars are not a sufficient rating. Tim Halpin Equipment came up through search on the Curt website and we were in market for a drop hitch for our SUV and a brake controller to make sure that we are ready to tow the brand new Proper & Wild Coffee Company trailer for its first event. We met with Tim Halpin Jr. who was an amazing human, a true professional that took his time to help people that are brand new to the hauling world. When trying to figure out whether a brake controller was needed the manufacturer was unclear but Tim knew the right answer and being second generation owner of this company and providing excellent customer experience he offered to get on the phone with the manufacturer directly and cleared up the matter. He made sure we installed the right parts and that we did it with vehicle safety in mind. The staff here were very nice and helpful, we worked with Jose when bringing our vehicle in and he was great. We highly recommend Tim Halpin Equipment. We cannot say enough about how helpful they are and how great they made us feel by providing all the extra assistance. It’s nice to know there are business people out there like this one. This is now our go to spot!!
Tim and Co. helped me get a boat trailer that I recently purchased for my Worldcat back in tip-top shape. Tim took the time to really examine every nut and bolt, the brake system and even the bunks/guides! I drove out with a new appreciation of trailer maintenance. They did an amazing job with my liftgate repair. The whole assembly would taken 6-8 weeks to receive Tim and his crew fabricated the cross member and had my truck fixed in less than 4 days.
