Amazing trails through the woods. Great Oregon Trail history here, as well.

We took some elementary classes from our school here and, not only was the park clean, but the employee/manager, Harley, was very helpful in talking to the children about the history and area! This was a wonderful place to explore!

The playground was closed but the trails were a ton of fun. The kids liked being able to explore and see the cave and all the creek crossings. We will definitely be back

I attended a group meeting at the Cave Springs Nature Center and was pleasantly surprised to find the historical presence of the Santa Fe Trail. Also, there was a couple of other trails included that I found out about in my brief research. I was able to see the native and other displays. The place is quaint, yet tucked away in an entrance way that you should drive slow to enter.

My wife read the reviews and we went there to check it out, since it has good reviews. We pulled in to the parking area and found cigarette butts and a used condom in the parking area. The trails are not kept up and many were so overgrown we could not get down them. The duck pond has nothing but floating cans and duck weed. This park is not worth going to, which is a shame since it is historical significant with the different trails starting there (Oregon, California).

The volunteers here are doing a good job, but i haven't enjoyed the park as much as i thought i would. Pros: an interesting cave and chimneys, there is no trash on the ground, dog friendly. Cons: noise from the nearby roads, the pond is taken over by the algae and sprinkled with trash, the grounds and the trees are overgrown with invasive climbers like winter creepers.

Cave Springs has always been one of our favorite trails to visit! The hiking is minor in most areas; perfect for the kids! The trail is always clear and free of obstacles. Our kids love seeing the humongous frogs over by Duck Island, too! You will see occasional deer but I have never encountered any snakes (which is good to me!). Great for the kids to see the old fireplaces. We all climb through the cave and cross the waterfall every time we are there!

Cave Spring Park (William M. Klein Park) is a peaceful and historic spot where nature trails, a small cave, a waterfall, and old stone structures come together beautifully. The walking trails are shaded and pleasant, making it a great place for a relaxing walk. The little cave and flowing spring are especially fun for kids. It's a wonderful place to spend time with family, friends, or even alone. Entry is completely free, and dogs are welcome as long as they’re on a leash. The park is usually quiet and not crowded, which adds to its charm. Definitely worth a visit if you enjoy nature and a bit of local history.

This particular walking trail was a pleasant surprise. Yes, I read the reviews about random posts saying, missing people all over the place... Physically, I read three different random messages saying ,"have you seen this random person." and it showed no person, or name, as well as horrible grammar throughout Realistically, you could absolutely get lost around the forest, however there are so many other offshoots from various paths within this place that you could be completely lost for hours upon hours. Along the trail, the path information doesn't tell you a lot of real life information other than random names being chosen for certain areas. For instance, Thomas's turnaround, or Tiffany's turn*a*bout.... Yes, there are signs saying cave, this way. However the other trails are very depicted as in... Truman's Trail, or something of the like And really, the signs are not very informational. All of that said, I would still recommend this walking trail. Above and beyond. I didn't have the time of frame to get lost on all of the other shoots from trails, but that is certainly on my to do list when I go there next!! The caregivers shop, information shop, whatever it is was not open when I went there on a Saturday afternoon.... However, upon leaving, there were two people digging up the weeds in the flower area upon the scenic drive to get to the trails.

Some paved trail, but mostly natural paths. I love the raw, primitive, undisturbed essence of the trail here. Not too much signage, but enough to keep you wandering. Lovely surprises and delightful nature in the heart of the city. A new favorite that I've passed by often but won't soon forget about. Excited to return.

Park includes few trails , it also includes some art wood which was nice to look at, entry is free and there are benches to rest along the trails. The reason I give this 4 is the portable bathroom. I do recommend visiting

Great family hike! Easy to traverse, plenty of spots to stop and enjoy picnic lunch. Site could use some love. Trails were over grown in spots. Nature center was closed when we visited, porta potty was available.

We enjoyed this park it was fun and they had paved trail options or hiking. Well kept and had its own beauty.

This park is a pretty cool hidden gem in Kansas City, MO. It’s a historical old homestead and also the 3 famous trails (California, Oregon, Santa Fe) all crossed this land. There is a paved walking trail, regular nature trails, a pond, old historic ruins, a small cave with a spring coming out of it, a small waterfall, a visitor center, picnic tables, etc. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars and not 5 is because there was some trash around the more popular areas, also the gazebo I saw near the waterfall is completely covered in graffiti and writing. There is trash cans throughout the park but it looked like nobody had emptied them because they were all overflowing. If the caretakers gave this some more attention and love then it would be an amazing spot. It really is nice despite the issues I named, it didn’t ruin the experience but I just wish it was looked after a bit more. It also requires all of us visitors to be more respectful and mindful of the effect we have on the places we visit. This is a great spot if you like to hike, picnic, take photos or just relax. All the trails were short and easy. Enjoy this park and leave it the way you found it unless you are going to improve it. Thanks for reading!

There are a lot of maintained, clean, and unpaved trails here! They are foresty and in the shade. There are many awesome places to stop and enjoy the surroundings. There is also a children's play area here. I had a nice walk and plan on coming back. You can hear the cars on the roads outside of the park but that's the only issue. Just thought I would put it in the review for people who are not wanting that.

Definitely a fun place to visit and explore. From a hikers perspective, very poor signage from one trail to another. There were trails blazed in red and we only noticed that because a rock was red here, a tree was red there and we figured that must be the case. There are white signs and arrows, but none were clearly marked in how to follow them. It almost seems like it was a project that was clearly finished or thought through. Then there were 4x4 posts in the group that looked newer with some sort of milage designation and a name on the other side. Didn't know if that name was the trail name or what. Signage was very disorganized. A "map" that you could get from a QR code was some help, but the "legend" was not easy to use or decipher. There are LOTS to do. The playground area was super fun, the chimneys we're fascinating and so was the Cave. Again, as someone who has hiked and toured Midwest historic places, I was left really wanting more info. Why are there so many tall chimneys within a short distance? What was the Cave used for? Answers like that would've been awesome and educational. A Google search and their website search was not what I was hoping for for answers of the above. No bathroom, which was disappointing but not surprising. Visitor Center looked great, but closed and no signs that said when they would be open. Would've really loved to check out the history or buy a souvenir.

I was hesitant to go due to the location. Jackson county has the filthiest parks I’ve ever seen and this was in the city. However I was shocked. They had trash can which I don’t see too often and people used them. It was full of history and historical things to see. Wear hiking shoes instead of tennis shoes. It’s rugged and fabulous

We decided it was so nice out for a motorcycle ride we decided to ride somewhere we’ve never been before. It took us only 20 minutes. It was a nice place to walk. Took us awhile to find the very small cave. Found out we actually walked on it without realizing it.

Nice little slice of nature in the middle of the town. There are a few little hidden caves sprinkled throughout the path. The little pond could be cleaner but that's just me nit-picking. Overall, it's a great little get away for a nature pause during your day. There are benches throughout the park as well, which makes it a perfect spot for quick meditation sessions. Also, be on the lookout for hidden geocaches!

Came here with my brother to take pictures one summer before covid. And returned recently with my youngest son to walk the trail. It was amazing both times. The scenery, the smells, the quiet calm and peace. This is exactly what I was looking for and exactly what I got. I can't wait to return!!

Cool little park! Has some interesting areas such as old house chimneys, a little spring and a tiny cave. Definitely worth checking out.

Cave Spring Park is really beautiful. I went there with Team Rubicon to cut down some trees so, I didn't get a good chance to explore. I would love to visit again and explore more. The classroom/office area was nice and the ac was amazing after cutting down trees in this hot weather

Great park with really cool trails. Want to explore more into the history of all the old signs and chimney's and other things..

My son had a blast here. The trail was about a mile. Fun to explore, pretty cool little cave! We finished up with playing at the park for an hour or so.

Really enjoyed being there. It was after rain ? and sidewalks were muddy. Hiked through the paved path it was really a jungle like feels. Chimneys have historic accent. This park is kept in well maintained still gave ? natural feels. Didn’t go to the cave due to mud which seems to be very beautiful too. This small hiking was really adventurous for us.

Great place to go and just relax. Or walk the trails. The trails are pretty level and the path is very nice. The pond and stream is very peaceful. There is a ton of information to check out about the history of Cave Spring. Check out the visitor center.
