The place is great! It's clean! Well organized! The employees are fabulous especially Bruce in non-ferris! 400° or -40,,,° He always greets everyone with a welcoming smile and an infectious laugh! Serious and fun loving at the same time! AND THEY'RE STARTING TO TAKE COMPUTER BOARDS AGAIN YAY!!!!!
Absolute dumpster fire this place. They will close early and give you crap rates. They deal with a lot of some of the more “homely” community so they treat every customer like they’re scraping to get to their next hit
Do not go here !!! Guy at the entrance was a dick head. And they don’t pay as good as any other scrap yard. I’ll travel an hr and a half before I even think about going back. I
This place is a damn joke. Seriously do not go here. If you leave a good review it's because you don't know what you are missing. These employees do not like their job. Don't want to work and be rude and then act like it was you. Closes at 5pm but don't show up after 4pm or you'll be turned away with 7 people in line. The management is horrible. Tried to pay me .29lb when I get at least 1.90 anywhere else. Trust me go to KC iron and metal

Langley’s has always been one of the best scrap yards/recycling company’s in KC. I’am a 3rd generation recycler , started going to Langleys with my grandfather to turn in my cans I would pickup. It’s cleanest and easiest to maneuver through. It’s been awhile since I have gotten a flat tire, they continually sweep the lots. Where I have been to other yards where it looks like they have never swept it.
What I love most about Langleys is their people willing to do whatever it takes to keep you coming back, From the office manager to the person who accepts the cans they are all willing to help you.
PS… Their prices are usually the BEST.
I was in and out very quickly. The process was well organized. Being my first time there, I spoke with a couple employees who were friendly and very helpful. The prices were excellent. I'll returning to Langley Recycling.
I love this place. You can really make some decent money. It’s a bit of a learning experience so each time Income back it’s been better and better.
I also have to say that everyone is very friendly and helpful.
I especially enjoy seeing the woman behind the glass counter.
She has a wonderful smile that puts you in a great mood and I look forward to coming here for the indefinite future. 5 stars hands down.
I would leave negative stars if I could. First time scrapping we took over 100lbs of #1 cooper in to them. They said we’d get a check. What they did not say is that you have to go to the office to get paid. It was a Saturday and they basically shoved everyone out the door. Did not give a receipt or anything. Called Monday morning to find out about the check, was told then that you’re supposed to go to the office to get paid. Then got cussed out and hung up on for not knowing this. After going in there in person and the weekend people verifying yes we brought the stuff in, manager said he’d have to review the security tapes and verify what was going on. Perfectly logical. Told manager they stated it was 148lbs worth, he said oh no that’s how much our carts weigh. Took several phone calls and over a week for them to finally answer and only pay out for 25lbs of copper. I should also note that while standing in line, the employees were overheard telling each other to change what they put in the computer for lesser amounts before the person got paid out. They are shady thieves. They are NOT honest in what they do.
Had my old twin bed frame because I got my son's new beds. Way easier than waiting for bulky items pick up which takes months. I've never been here before but the staff was very helpful and explained what I needed to do. Before I call bulky items I will bring it here if it's metal
Beware! They pay you $5 at the counter if you leave a good review, so the overall rating here is skewed. The dishonesty loses a star for me. With that said, it is a decent place, easy process, but they are picky. I brought in a mix of clean copper fittings and pipe and they gave me #2 for the fittings. They said fittings always get #2, but that doesn’t line up with the grade. Any clean copper without solder or paint should be #1, regardless if it’s piping or fittings. That also takes off a star for me.
