I get that you have to make your money somehow at a shop like this but it can be an unpleasant feeling pressured to make a purchase that I perceived as trying to make an extra buck on the next solo woman walking through your doors. I went in for a full inspection of the car I just had bought which alone would have been $12. After looking over my vehicle. I was told they would have to fail the inspection because of a faulty marker lamp bulb that had to be replaced and a pair of wipers that also needed replacing. They said they could pass me but I'd have to pay to fix those. After they explained that the 3 minutes it would take to do this work would cost $40 in labor, I politely said that was a bit out of my budget and could come back when they get back from lunch after heading up to the O'Reilly's to install the 25-cent light on my own(done many times before). Now I have been to shops before and know that replacing that little inside light does not require any tools and is surely not $40 in labor. But I was not going to argue, I just wanted to do it on my own. The next thing I was told was that if I decided to leave and take my vehicle, they would have to fully fail my vehicle and report it as a failed inspection. Being between a rock and a hard place I decided to bite the bullet and just have them replace it there. 4 minutes later, the keys are in my hand and $80 has just left my bank account ($12 inspection + $20 wiper blades + $40 labor + 25€ bulb). Now, I say this all with understanding because I get that shops like this need to be able to make money and I do appreciate the kindness of the person at the front desk but I would also have appreciated knowing that what exactly they were looking at and that they would have to report the failed inspection to the state if it left their lot prior to them taking my vehicle. As a shop owner as well, please be kinder to your customers when informing them that they are not allowed in the shop area. I had asked the person working at the desk if it was alright that I look at what light was faulty. I was then escorted into the shop where you were there for a good 4 or 5 minutes before you very rudely directed that I not be in the shop area and that it was against policy due to insurance liability. You are working with real people here, treat them as such.

Took my granddaughters car they charged $800.00 to tell me it was a blown head gasket when it was a bad water pump and a clogged radiator. You call yourselves mechanics! You are a joke!

Brads Auto has taken care of our cars multiple times. They are so professional, kind and reasonably priced. I can always trust them and, as a woman, I never feel like they treat me as if I’m dumb or rip me off, like many mechanics do. Very thankful for brads!

I’m always nervous going to auto shops alone because I’m a young woman, I’ve been scammed before. Brads auto doesn’t do misogynistic stuff like that. They treated me with respect. The guy I talked to (I think his name was Tim or Tom) was super respectful and polite the whole time. They’re very honest too. I went there because my car was making a noise, if I went to thoroughbred they would have made something up and charged me hundreds. Brads auto was super honest, they found it was likely my new wheels. They put my plastic on underneath for free and only charged me for the time they spent trying to figure out what was going on with my car. My husband has been taking his car here for a while and has always had great service. I’ve already recommended this shop to several other women.

I have been using this auto shop for a few years now and my experience with them this last go around was not very good took my car to them to get a diagnostic test done and they told me I needed a new PCM so I purchased one and had them put in on my vehicle afterwards they could no longer get my vehicle to start so they told me that the PCM I ordered was not programmed to my vehicle and that’s why it was not starting so they wanted me to send it back to be reprogrammed I decided to call the place where I purchased the PCM and they assured me it was programmed correctly and to have the auto shop to explain to me what the vehicle was doing just to make sure everything was being done correctly this did not sit well with Tom the manger he told me they had done everything correctly but this was not the case all he kept saying to me was about more money when I was told it would be $260 to install the new PCM so I paid him the money that was owed to him and took my vehicle to VAN Chevrolet to have them look at my vehicle and determine what was wrong with it within an hour of them looking at my vehicle. They determine that Brad’s auto had not installed the PCM correctly. A wire was loose and they had my vehicle running in no time. it cost me an additional $200 because that’s what Van Chevrolet charges per hour, but Brad’s Auto kept trying to make me believe that the PCM that I had purchased was not program. I definitely will not be taking any of my vehicles back to Brad’s auto in the future.

I came in for a problem with my brakes not thinking much of it. They discovered that the previous auto service shop I went to had put on the wrong size brake pads among other things. They were quick and efficient at solving the issues and even sent visual proof of the main problem. I 100% would recommend this business to anyone.

I brought my car in to have the brakes inspected due to a scraping noise. I didn’t think I needed new brakes, as there was no squealing indicator noise, and when I visually checked the pads, there was still over 50% of the pad remaining on the outside. However, the staff informed me that the inside brake pad had worn unevenly and was completely gone, causing damage to the rotors. As a result, I had to replace both the rotors and brake pads. When I picked up my vehicle, I expressed concerns to an older gentleman (I believe his name was Kevin, but I’m unsure) about avoiding uneven wear on my brake pads and the potential need for further repairs in the future. He assured me that the calipers were functioning properly and didn't need to be replaced, but suggested I bring the car back after a while for a follow-up inspection to check for any uneven wear. I followed up on that advice today, only to be informed that there would be a $37 charge for the inspection, after the fact that the inspection had already been completed. I explained the situation to Taylor, who was working at the time, and although I was willing to pay, I was under the impression the inspection would be complimentary. Taylor explained that it had been too long since the initial repair and, when I expressed my frustration, said, "If $37 is such a big deal, just don’t come back here." While I understand policies may vary, I was disappointed by the lack of clear communication and the dismissive attitude I received. I offered to pay the inspection fee, but given the experience, I will oblige not to return to a business where customer service falls short of expectations.

Brad’s Auto is the BEST!! Honest and they know their business. They saved me $2,000 on a repair. A Nissan dealer charged me $150 to diagnose a noise. Nissan said it was the steering rack and pinion and quoted $2,500 for the repair. I went to Brad’s for a second opinion and they correctly diagnosed as a strut mounting bearing and replaced it for $500. If I had gone with the dealer it would still be making noise and I would be out $2500! Brad’s has never missed on a repair. Next issue I will go to them first!

Been here twice for different issues on my car and they quickly found the problems and serviced my car within a day or less. I have been extremely impressed with their professionalism and speed both times. My second time around they warned me it may be a few days before my car got serviced and quoted me a reasonable price, my car was fixed and working fine the very next day along with the final price being lower than the quote. I definitely recommend them!

Great place. Won't screw you over. Not only do they provide a great service at a fair price, they have referred me to two other awesome car shops when what I needed fixed was something their shop didn't do.

Love this shop! Been using them since I moved here and have never had any issues. Not to mention they’re prices aren’t to bad either when looking at other shops. They’ve always been upfront and honest. Will definitely continue using them.

I have used brads auto for 3 years in both our family’s vehicles. I attend MBTS down the road and found out a lot of faculty and staff use this auto group as well. Brad’s auto service has been honest with me and they will be with you to. They have kindly talked with me about what work is being done, and how much each step cost. I had an issue with my truck recently (today actually) and had to get a wrecker to take my vehicle to brads auto to get a flat fixed, they fixed it for free. They have treated me very good every time I’ve gone. If your looking for a good mechanic, Brad’s auto is the place to go.

LIFESAVER!!! I went to Brad to get a 2nd opinion after Gladstone Dodge had my Charger for 11 days and told me I needed a new engine (quoted $12,000). Brad got me in the next morning. He diagnosed and fixed my vehicle for under $500 that same day (it was a physically broken solenoid). Brad is my new best friend, and anyone I hear in the KC area who needs vehicle repairs will be sent Brad's way! I LOVE BRAD AND HIS BIG SMART MECHANIC'S BRAIN!!!! Big thanks to Brad and his staff!!!

Brad's Auto went out of their way to help me out. It was a simple thing really; just needed the codes cleared after replacing my ECM. My friend recommended them because they take they're vehicles to Brad's Auto and no one else because they're honest and straight up, no BS. They could have turned me away like many other shops have done but instead they helped me out. I would recommend them to anyone needing quality work done.

This is by far the best auto shop we have ever gone too. Kevin has always been amazing on the phone and more than honest and helpful. They gave us an honest quote on issues we were having, which was more than half of the price of what we were quoted at Christian Brothers. They got us in quickly and did a thorough job that we were very happy with. On top of the work they have done, I have called to get their opinion several times and Kevin has been so helpful every time. If you need a new auto shop, stop looking and go to Brad's Auto Service, you won't regret it. We are super impressed!

Ask them to look at my car for what repairs it needed. Spent Approx. $350.00 on repairs. Thinking they would look at the mechanical area's that they work on. But no they opened my sunroof on my car and could not get it to close back and then told me they don't work on sunroofs. So not sure why they would touch something on my car that they do not work on. The response I got from Brad was well you ask us to do a complete inspection on the car and that was part of it. So they left me with a car that if it rains my car will be soaked. This is definitely a place I will not use again. Thanks Brad! You should not touch something that you don't work on! That is the point! Your not adding is you touched something on the car that you could not fix if it was broke. A sunroof has nothing to do with the mechanic's of the car as far as how it runs that is what I was asking you to look at was what it would take Mechanically to keep my car going another 100000 miles. A sunroof does not fall under that guideline. I don't expect you to fix it I just expect you to put it back the way you found it.

I took my car in because it was making a rattling noise that another mechanic could not find. They immediately narrowed it down to the strut and got it ordered and replaced without hassle. My car drives like new again. Kevin, the manager was very helpful and had great communication with me while they had the car. So glad to find a mechanic close to me that's very reliable

This is an honest business! That is a huge value! My brother came into town with major car problems. Brad's was recommended to me by a friend and the car was taken there for a diagnostic. They mentioned that his brakes needed to be replaced (a known issue) and he gave them the go ahead. when the diagnostic was complete they found an issue that was more expensive to fix then the car. they said that they will not do the brakes and said that it would be best to get rid of the car. Honesty like that is what people need in this world! They did not take advantage of my brother and the fact that he was out of town. This will be my go to place in the future!

Kevin at Brad’s Auto helped me when I was stranded in KC MO and no other shop would even look at my vehicle for two more days. He got me in and diagnosed the issue within an hour. They treat their regular customers great and their once in a lifetime customers just as well!

I used to live in Kansas City, and recommended Brad's all the time because I knew Brad was a stand up guy. I now live in Florida and was driving to Colorado and had some serious truck trouble. Because I've been gone from the area for 7+ years, I kind of forgot who to go to... Fortunately i was reminded by local friends and family. Sent messages to Brad describing the issue, called the shop and asked to speak to Brad, and was told he was unavailable. No big deal, and described the situation. Got a call back later telling me to take my vehicle somewhere else. Thanks Brad, I did... Very professional response Brad, folks, this is the type of person you're dealing with :)

Brad's is AMAZING. Located just North of N.Oak and 72nd on the East side of N. Oak in the strip mall with Hertz. After spending 5 hours at the Kia Dealership, then another hour at Valvoline, I brought my car into Brad's. Turns out that everything that was quoted before was incorrect, and the ONLY thing wrong was an improperly installed battery and a stripped bolt. $30 and 30 minutes later I was out the door with a perfectly running vehicle. They saved me $100s of dollars and tons of hours. From here on out I'm going here first. They have a customer for life. THANKS KEVIN AND ALL THE MECHANICS AT BRAD'S!!!

This is the only shop I ever take my cars to. Along with my wife, we have taken probably a dozen cars over the past 15 years to them. They have always given us great service, honest quotes, and get us in no matter what is going on with the cars. They offer us lower cost solutions like getting used parts for the cars but also let us know exactly what that may mean when it comes to the longevity of the repair. They are so nice both on the phone and in person and make sure they explain exactly what they are doing, even if you have no experience with any kind of auto work in your background. I always leave feeling that they did me a great service, not ripped me off. I will always go to Brads!

Brad's took care of my car quickly and got it back into working order right before the holiday weekend! No one else in the area could look at it for at least a week, and Brad's fixed it within a couple hours. With an infant, I really need a reliable vehicle, and Kevin was so understanding and helpful the minute he answered my call. I'll be back in the future! Thank you so much!

I've always been happy with my experiences at Brad's. They have fair prices and only do the work that needs to be done; no upselling for unnecessary repairs. I've had several occasions where they didn't charge me a thing to take a look at my car. Once I was told that it was nothing to worry about. Another time I was recommended to a muffler shop that could do the work for half the price. Nothing but good things to say!

Go here! Went to have a brake inspection due to a squeaky noise. Kevin was very nice and they were able to get my car in and out and just a couple of hours. Turns out it was nothing major and the problem was fixed - they were honest, straightforward, and didn't try to scam the consumer. I was referred to Brad's and I will be referring from here on out. Glad to know there's a reputable auto repair shop in Kansas City!

James is seriously amazing!! He fixed my car for 1/4 of the price a dealership quoted me, and my car feels brand new. And Kevin was extremely nice and helpful from start to finish. Happy I found an auto shop that I can trust to do great work without worrying about getting ripped off. Thanks guys!

I have used this company since I was 16. FYI I turn 41 in a week. I have never once had a problem with any of the employees not to mention the service. I even witnessed a lady come in and complain that they were just trying to add on to her bill when it was recommended that she change her timing belt while they were doing her water pump. What happened next was the best customer service I have ever seen in any shop I have been in. The person at the counter asked if she had a moment to look at something and she agreed to go and look. They walked into the shop area where she was shown why she need to replace it at the same time and explained that if she did not and she would pay for the same labor as she was this time reaffirming that spend a little extra now to save from spending a lot later. I read some of the reviews on Brad's not sure they had the correct Brad's Auto that I know. I still have family that will drive 3 hrs to have him look and work on their cars. To those of you that had a bad experience step back and reevaluate the situation. If you live in the NKC area and you are looking for a truly top notch shop then you need to drive, push, pull or tow your vehicle to Brad's. Keep up the Great work Guys and I will see you in 3000 miles!

I have been going here for about 20 years. They are honest, quick and friendly. I have never been concerned about being taken advantage of. Not the cheapest in town, but go here if you want to be sure you are getting quality, honest work done. 6-4-2014 Took another car in for repair. They charged me $0 for the service because the part was under warranty! Who does that? These guys are honest to a fault, and I refer them with no hesitation. Honest, good people, especially Jared.

Brad's Auto Service is the only mechanic shop I ever recommend to friends and family. They are honest, diligent and very flexible with service. I have taken 3 of my cars to them over the past 10 years for everything. They have fixed anything from alignment issues when I decide to mount medians, to helping me fix my transmission just a few months ago (they helped to find a place who does great transmission work) to replacing electrical issues in the ignition system in my car. If doesn't need to be fixed, or does not need to be fixed right away Jared, Brad and the other fellas let me know. It's nice taking your car in for an oil change, and the only phone call you get is that the car is ready to picked up, not some silly sales call trying to tell you 4 other things you "could" fix on your car. Brad's Auto is one of the last good and honest mechanic shops around and I am so happy my automobiles are serviced there. I trust them and their work and know I am safer on the road due to their work.
