I can’t rate this company high enough. Five Stars is not nearly enough. I recently took my car in for repair of my back brake lights not working. I was given a price that I agreed to pay. However, prior to the work being completed, the owner discovered that the parts I agreed to pay for were not needed. The only thing that was needed was the re-connection of a loose wire. The owner was very honest and did not charge me for the part that was not needed. He could have just let me assume he installed the new part, and I never would have known the difference. It’s been my experience, that this type of honesty and integrity is very rare in the auto repair business. I feel that I should write and share my experience for others to read about. This place is reasonable and also honest people. Davis is very professional as well. You receive great service, and he is knowledgeable and cares about your vehicle. He takes pride in his work, and he will make sure he knows what is wrong with his vehicle. He has a lot of clientele, so he may not get you in the same week. In addition, he does take credit cards as well. The only thing is that your car may not be ready until 2 or 2 and a half days after you drop it off. It just depends on what you are getting done. I can assure you, the gentlemen, take their time, and they do not rush the service. Just make sure you communicate this if you need your vehicle by the next day.
Just left from getting an inspection. He was the only one in the whole city that could fit me in today. Super nice, super fast. Go to him if you’re needing an inspection.
This was the best experience I had with an Auto shop he was very nice made sure I got home he explained the issue I had very well brought it back he fixed it an I walked out with a Kool-Aid smile very pleased. May God Keep Blessing Him and His Shop

They promised service they don't give,they don't return phone calls, they make you look bad referring others to them and not following through with promises they make to people needing their vehicles serviced in a timely manner. The previous owner Marshall Davis was a honest hard working man he was very professional about his business. Listen if you need your car repaired and you don't need it until when ever, by all means take it there but if you need professional services and honest work on your vehicles, and calls returned to you in a timely manner, please go else where .
Maceo and the entire staff at Davis Automotive are top knotch. They are honest and fairly priced, not pushing you for things that you do not need. We have all 3 of our cars serviced by him (2 Lexus's and a Ram 2500 Diesel) and could not be happier with our experiences there.

I was fortunate to find Maceo Davis and his father and the whole excellent crew through a friend. I've been going to Maceo for four years sometimes when I go there there's no charge for the little things that I come in for that other body shops would of course charge me for but they are all courteous and coming

My family has known Mr. Davis for many years, we went to school together. He upholds an honest and professional business, as well as conveniently located in the Kansas City area. I am so grateful because recently my engine was wearing out and they contacted the dealership to find that it was covered under warranty, as well as had the arrangements set up on which location to go to. I couldn't have asked for more peace of mind when told that my engine would possibly need to be replaced! This is not the only gracious action that they have provided in taking care of 3 generations in our family, and they have my full recommendation for major or small repairs. #NoWorryVehicleService. I had my first major car repair needed since losing my husband this week. I was referred to Davis auto repair by Harris auto repair because it was related to my a/c. By my being a middle aged woman, I was skeptical of going in alone, fearing being taken advantage of. The owner quickly put me at ease conversing on commonalities which always helps in customer service.
Well the job was far more complex than he anticipated but he called me at each new find. I also want/needed new brakes. He promised to have this finished today, gave me his word he would not go home without my car being finished so the last time we spoke he told me to give him 45 minutes and asked if I had I ride, I did, I gave an hour and was happy to see my car out and ready! Well listen he had won me over. I’d already decided I’d never go anywhere else should I need anything else and I’d tell everyone I could how professional this place is. I paid and left. He called 15 minutes later to my surprise to tell me my credit card was there! I left it there on the desk! Hey! Kansas City! This honest, reputable business is the best and don’t, just don’t even try another place cause there cannot be anywhere better. I promptly drove back and so thankful an employee didn’t go run off and max out my card, my car is super cool with the a/c.. running smoothly sounds like my reliable baby with excellent brakes. My experience today was more than I could have expected. The customer service was excellent and the price I paid was waya less than what I thputhoi would be spwnding. When I left my house this morning all I knew was that I was in desperate need of finding a mechanic who could help fix my vehicle without trying to get over on me and the professionalism that I got from this shop was fantastic! I left there feeling very satisfied and grateful to have found me a new mechanic, one would I would refer ALL of my friends and family members to because this place went above and beyond to help me today.

I am the owner of CarZone on 79th and Troost. I took my Cadillac CTS to Mr. Davis for repair and he did an awesome job at a very reasonable price. I bought a Bentley although everyone told me not to because there are very few shops that will work on them. It has been an amazing classy car but on the trip home from a wedding in Indianapolis we hit something large on I70 highway that caused some damage. Most shops in KC refused to even look at my car but I was referred to Davis Auto Repair who setup an appointment the next day.
The mechanic quickly found the issue with one of the twin turbo intake pipes that was pulled off/damaged. They repaired it enough to be drivable and suggested we go to a muffler shop for a permanent repair since it needs to have the metal heated/repaired which requires specialty tools most mechanic shops do not have. It is nice to find an honest, reasonable repair shop and I will be back next time I need a repair.
They did a awesome job on my car, ,I broke down on the highway and got my car to prospect avenue,, then looked up tow trucks, and found Davis,, I'm so happy I found them they are a blessing and did a great job on my car
