Body guys are good at their job; they did fine work on my car. But God… I can’t tell you enough how frustrating it was to talk to Melissa. She’s literally one of the worst human beings I’ve ever talked to. She knows that people are in a bad spot and they have to talk to her, and she takes advantage of that to treat people horribly because of an inferiority complex.
On top of that, her management skills are nonexistent. One day I called my adjuster about the rental, and they told me they were no longer going to provide rental reimbursement because my car had basically been sitting without getting repaired for two weeks. I called her, and she said, “Yup. We’re waiting for a part that’s on backorder. We don’t have an ETA.” Seriously? It didn’t cross your mind to let the owner know? What do you even do then?
It was literally a nightmare, and I just can’t understand why the dealer keeps someone like this.

I would like to thank mark and the technicians who worked on my car. It has been restored perfectly to its former beauty and mark is very professional and the job was done on time. Just like he said, and I really appreciate it. I would definitely recommend northtown body shop For any of your repaired needs!
Talked to Melissa on the phone and she was very negative and gave me a lot of attitude. I was calling about an estimate from hail damage and she spoke to me like I was a child then hung up on me. Glad I am not going through with services here. 0/10 experience with Melissa.
Northtowne, do yourself a favor and fire Melissa before she makes more customers go elsewhere. I witnessed a woman come in who just had work done on her bumper and she said the bumper came off. Melissa flashed attitude on top of attitude. She couldn't be bothered to help the woman with anything. Lots of exasperation and self loathing complaints that everyone left her (Melissa) alone and went to lunch. Melissa treats her job like a meaningless chore. Give the job to someone who actually wants to help people.
Fast, efficient and looks out for the customer. Not only when assessing your car but afterwards. I left a pair of Chiefs sunglasses even after I was sure I had everything. They had found them and I was able to pick them up. It might seem like a small thing, but in the midst of my car being totaled and everything that goes along with that, this was huge for me. Thank you again.
Worst experience. Came for an estimate and met Melissa for scratches on the passenger door caused by a dog. During the 30 minute appointment; she gave very little information to what she was doing and did not speak to me about anything. She kept repeating “what” and “this makes no sense” at the computer without giving any explanation. Walked outside two additional times without speaking to me to look at the scratches I already showed her. Asked two additional times if this was through insurance which I said no. Then proceeded to give an estimate for over $2000. One of my previous vehicles was referred here for a wreck to the front bumper which was covered through insurance and they quoted $850 for damage. Everything about this experience was odd. Do not recommend.
Refreshing customer service and high quality workmanship!!! Was insurance claim and they went above what was expected to get taken care of. Highly recommended!
Not impressed. They did some minor body work on a new car I had just purchased. They must have left a window down because I had dust on the interior of my new vehicle that had less than 500 miles on it.
I would give this company 0 stars but that’s not an option. I was in a wreck and most of the damage was cosmetic. When they called me to tell me the estimate it was only the estimate of the cosmetic damage. When I asked if the axel had been looked at (as my alignment is completely off and my rear tire is bent in) the person (Mark) stated “oh I didn’t even know there was something wrong with it” which lets me know the car wasn’t driven/wasn’t even put up on a lift to look underneath the car. Mark then proceeds to call me back 10 minutes later and say “yeah you’re right the axel is definitely bent.” Absolutely disappointed and completely unprofessional. Also, the staff is LESS than friendly. I also called Northtowne Hyundai where I got my car to let them know they shouldn’t recommend their customers go there anymore! Needless to say I’m taking my car to another collision center as I would NEVER trust them with my car.
I hit a chunk of compacted snow from a snow plow that cracked my bumper. I tried to call the body shop to either set up an appointment or get a ballpark figure on replacement to see if it was better to go through insurance or out of pocket. Melissa, who answers the phones, was the rudest person I’ve ever spoken to at a dealership. She was rude, cut me off multiple times in a 1 minute conversation, was curt, and just outright miserable. I’ve bought 3 vehicles from Northtowne. Won’t be buying a 4th.
I inadvertently left my car out front during a recent thunderstorm. Sadly, a large tree branch fell on the hood of my car. My insurance company recommended Bob's body shop (being facetious here but...really?) I insisted on going to the dealership where I purchased the car and was not disappointed. Manager here named Bruce is just awesome. Walked me through everything and took over the top care of me and my car. Will not go anywhere else for my auto body needs. Thank you Bruce and team!
I recently inherited a 2006 SSR from my stepfather who passed away I was looking for estimates on getting a front fender repaired. Apparently Northtowne body shop has no need for my business I was informed that there was only one person on staff at the time they could do estimates and it was by appointment only a process that I came to realize only takes about five minutes. Apparently this company does not need an extra thousand dollars. If Northtown auto body reaches out to me I will happily rewrite this review as long as they are willing to be the lowest bid.
what a complete waste of my time... I definitely expected better customer service from northtown. After scheduling an appointment with the lady in the front office setting up a time to come in waiting 2 days for the opportunity to get an estimate done on my work truck which is C4500 GMC utility truck. Now anybody that deals with vehicles should know this is a very large truck after getting up to northtown for my appointment today Friday March 1st , the lady informs me that they would not be at the work on my vehicle for one they could not fit in the booth and for another their system would not allow them to even write me up an estimate. All I can do is shake my head at this lady's incompetence not knowing how to do her job whatsoever... why on Earth would you let somebody with a vehicle that could not be serviced at your business be scheduled for an appointment to get an Estimate. A big thank you for wasting several hours of my day taking off work and losing money Which in turn hurts me and my family thank you very much northtown body shop.....
Both times we’ve been to Northtowne Body Shop the past few weeks--two little fender-benders, different vehicles--we have had a *fantastic* experience. Work is done on-time and is perfectly executed. Cars are washed and prepped for delivery. Articles left in the vehicle are exactly as they were. They run a first-rate shop.
Put. Hold three times, I was trying to get info on some body work was put on hold three times and transferred to three different ASSHOLEs in less than 5 mins.
